The FAUXHEMIAN Hair from [Curio] wins my hands down best hair name at this years HAIR FAIR. It made my short list of styles I HAD to have so I was pretty stoked to get it on and be a pretty girl in it.

But then, I couldn’t figure out what to wear.

Originally I had something on every attachment point. But I’ve got plans for a look like that in a day or two so you know, I didn’t want to just KILL that sort of nutfuckery so early in the weekend. We were not disappointed and today we are showing you Wanyudo which is available for both men and women. TODAY’s RAMBLINGS:
So I’m a day late.. but Weds was just one of those amazing days.. RL and SL included. I got to spend some time with some incredible people at the grand opening of the new urban spoken word poetry lounge “Rhythms”. There were a few poets lined up (House, Kamille, Anthuny and myself), but what came after was amazing, close to 40 people packed the sim and as everyone got more comfy, other poets, freestylers and singers came out the wood works and joined us on the open mic.

My friend Dev had never been to an event like that in SL before. He was super inspired and is diving back into his love of music, I got to hear some amazing words and ideas have been flowing in my head all day long. That long stint of writer’s block is finally leaving me (I hope!). One person I have to give props to is Anthuny Lionheart, the first time I heard him, I was literally holding my breath til he finished, yes, he’s THAT amazing. His words are passionate and mad positive and real. The whole collective of creative souls at “Rhythms” was so supportive and I hope more people discover this amazing place and participate. So everyone should know by now.. since I’ve come back inworld, I’ve had on Rockberry’s Kalista skin. I can’t GUSH enough about it! I’m so completely heads over heels in love with the beautifully and subtle shading of the abs and breasts.. the sweet highlights on the thighs..the amazing..AMAZING makeup and face. I picked up the fatpack of the Natural tone but it comes in 4 tones all together (Light, Natural, Tan & Dark), with so many makeup options it’s perfect for every day, every night and every date! I’m also obsessed with the Dark tone, I’m flat broke at the moment but as soon as I get some Ls..I’m going for the dark fat pack also!

I personally love soft nude and pouty dewy rose lips and Heather doesn’t disappoint! I love the soft lips and the vibrant eye makeup. It reminds me of how I do my makeup RL. I always play up my eyes since they’re smaller (I’m Asian.. I have the stereotypical eyes!) and just clear gloss up my lips since I have thick lips (my fave feature of myself!). I know in SL it’s fun to try all these incredible skins and makeups that you don’t have the guts to try in RL.. but for some reason.. I prefer the softer sweeter look like I do in RL. I guess we never really get away from who we are right? I’ll be rocking this skin for a long time.

Part of me was nervous in restarting my blog since I’ve come back. I’ve been reading so many amazing blogs and seen so many incredible pictures that I’m getting a bit scared that my PS skills aren’t going to be enough! I’ve just started learning CS5 and hopefully can produce some quality flicks for my readers! There will still be ample amounts of ramblings and a close friend just asked me to join him in some RL/SL projects and I’m excited!

I wanted an outfit that suited this amazing new Amaterasu skin from Pink Fuel — something futuristic yet tribal, as if Geiger and Ghost in the Shell had a baby. I’m super excited because Lalu Bonetto of GATO invited me to make a post on her store! I’ve posted on GATO a few times because there are always great new gifts, not to mention the fact that everything in her store is less than 100L. She dropped her new releases on me, but I ended up going to her store and buying more haha. The only things I was given are the striped tops and the denim skirt, I bought everything else! CHEAP at less than 100L. hahah that’s why I don’t visit GATO all that often, my money will disappear.

Anyway GATO is honestly my favorite store ever because 1.) It’s cheap and good 2.) I really identify with the store since Lalu always makes cool/unique things with my favorite kinds of prints, mostly vintage/floral/crazy/animals. It’s very much my style! My only comment is that at times, the items don’t come in all layers, but honestly it’s only weirdos like me who wanna wear an undershirt, highwaisted skirt AND a cardigan all at once haha. You can check which layers are included before buying anyway, and even one layer is still a bargain.

I once commented to Lalu about having another layer for highwaisted skirts, and she actually dropped a folder with the extra layers on me. And I was a horrible whiner who asked for a demo for the Themeory monster skin and she offered to make one for me and I was so ashamed I just went and bought it lol with no regrets, I liked the skin. Hahahaha I apologize for being such a demanding customer, but never again! Anyway the point is that she’s really really very nice and accommodating.

GATO now has an outlet store, so everything there is 50L or less, mostly 30-40L, also a group gift and 5L cheapies. There’s also a GATO skins and shapes store!

JE SUIS jewellery by Julia Merosi: une princesse jewellery set. Not free, but I really wanted to mention this jewellery I’ve been wearing because it’s pretty affordable, detailed and customizable to any color and metal. It’s 150L for a pair of earrings, which I thought was a good deal because you can even input the exact color that you want them to be/change the color on individual gems.

Also wearing gacha eyeliner by Cheap Makeup! It’s only 40L per play and some of the eyeliners come with lashes. Definitely the best value for 2.0 makeups that I’ve seen.

The Luna Fantasy ensemble is NEW and constructed really well. This is such a playful outfit and a lot of fun to wear. The long gauzy flexi skirt sort of floats as you move. The pretty wings on the back and chest, the mauve/brown eyes and the bleeding rose tatoo on the chest are all included.

Celestial Studios is another fashion house that’s been a mainstay for sometime.  The designer is immensely talented, and kept us skinned and clothed for quite some time.  Her designs have always been casual, stylish, and hip.  Her range of pants and jeans are some of my most favorite.  She was quite clever when she made them, doing accompanying belts of various styles to wear with, on the pant, and jackets layers.  I hearted her for this, along with her amazing sculpted pant prims.  Located with the jeans, are her corduroys, and suede pants.  The textures are some of the best you are going to find inworld.  If you stop by, check out her tees, hoodies, and handbags.

I’m wearing many brights for late summer, this fun one shoulder halter is from Sand Shack Surf Couture, featuring bright sculpted flower adornment on the shoulder strap.  The colors are rich, and the detail has depth, and excellent textured.  There is more added color with my Zaara painted bangles and earrings, and I picked up 3 of my favorite colors in this outfit for my shoes from Kalnins.  I love being able to do this with it’s color change hud.  It was a hard choice between a cherry patent leather purse from Celestial Studios, and denim one, while I was trying to decide, Sasy told me about these cute bags at Bare Rose, and the style was exactly what I wanted. A simple belt lightens the look up in the middle, I like the casual look of this belt from EarthStones, called Leather and Laced. It’s available in some neutral tones as well, I would have loved if this came in red or blue, or was mod so I could tint. My nails and rings are a combination set from Page 3.  Ring finish and polish colors are changeable by hud, available in a pack of sizes.  My skin choice is Tuli’s Jade line, I love the eyeshadow on this one, worn with Chaisuki’s lashes.  The hair is Ploom I recently blogged them, and can’t wait to show off all my Ploom purchases!  I love this hair!  This is Kemper in Fudge, nice, full, and flexi.

This post is packed full of lovely things that have come out in the past couple of weeks. First up are the sweet floral Rosalie baby doll dresses from 5th & Oxford. Available in 6 base colours with the same floral pattern, they come with 2 versions of the same skirt, one with pearl buttons down the back. I am only showing 2 colours because SL hates me and I’ve been trying for a week and a half to get this post done! As alway from 5th & oxford, this dress is beautifully hand drawn.

The hair I’m wearing is the latest from fri.day, Hailey and Hailey 2, shown in Dramatic Red which is my favourite shade. Fri.day hair is always perfect on me, and I love this casual shoulder-length style.

Last but not least, I’m wearing the brand new Glass Slippers from Scribble. Radio Signals has a haybale at Shoe Fair with these beauties in a whole jewel box of colours.
