The textures in the different clothing in this outfit are actually much better than rhinestones. There’s such depth and interest whether it’s the marvelously made top from Maitreya’s Bubble Skirt dress, the intricately patterned skirt from MiaMai or the rhinestone-cowboy-kicking boots from Adam N Eve. I would not trade such depth and interesting textures for all the rhinestones in the world. Add the amazing jewelry from EarthStones and this is a texture-gasmic outfit.
I thought it deserved a great setting for at least one shot – and fortuitously, while I was getting dressed, Lizzie Lexington sent me a landmark to Minute Papillon, a lovely spot for photos. I have a few formal gowns in real life including one to-die-for body-hugging extravaganza of embroidery and beads and pailletes with a slit on one side that goes almost to the waist – it’s a hot little number and I almost always wear one of the others. I don’t know why, but most occasions that call for a formal gown are not nice, short little one to two hour cocktail parties but long, tortuous 4 hour banquet, program, dance marathons and whenever I think of hours at a banquet table sitting on those bumpy beads and being scratched by those pailletes and managing that slit to make sure I don’t flash London or France, I push the garment bag along and choose another gown. I was excited to find out Fade made new makeups for her skins. First, the Laura Milk Skins are so adorable. They have a bit of a mime feel to them but they’re really cute and fun.
Ugly Duck now has Lily as a new tone and heck yeah I like it! The one thing I appreciate about Fade’s skins are the subtle and yet different makeups offered from the added blush to the faint blue eyeliner 
I confess, I really do like skins that bring out my character and I think that’s why I like Fade’s skins so much. Oh and before I forget, as an added bonus below are the new french lip options you can have!

Whippet & Buck has been releasing a lot of amazing items lately — the flutter tanks being one of them. The colors of these tank tops are very feminine and perfect for spring. They come in two different lengths and six different colors. Exile also released new hairs and they’re awesome! All of the hairs have interesting styles and are well-made. My favorite one is Shirelle (the bangs are perfect). Skream released a new necklace that has beads, chain and a cross. It’s very cool, make sure to check it out.

Glam Affair, née Beauty Avatar, has recently released their Element collection, a series of seven black and edgier outfits. I was fortunate to receive these to preview, and they definitely captured my interest.
Camile is a sexy sequined minidress which will surely turn some heads at the club (are there any good clubs these days? Damn I miss Seven Ultra Lounge) or wherever you happen to be. The huge sleeves too are an eye-catcher.
Laure is an empire-waisted flowy top over some crazy cutout leggings. I love these leggings so much, I hope they come out in more colours!
Mindy, the craziest ballerina outfit ever, with virtually no top above the corset (just X’d out nipple covers) and a tutu gone loco. The flower-shaped collar balances out the tutu very well indeed.

Quick post to announce that Sayuri skins should be out today at Tuli - though not out quite yet!!! I just stopped by her store just before submitting this post to make sure.
I did use a different shape than normal for this post. It is from The Abyss which I rather liked. Other credits go to 69 for the hair, Linc for the top, Torridwear for the pose, and Exodi for the eyes.
Do mind that she does have freckle and cleavage options which I did not show here and in another tone as well. As always Tuli does phenomenal work!! You can also get into her group to grab the group gift if you can’t wait!

I think this is my favorite of the cupcakes skins offered, subtle makeup, but the lips have plenty of shine and color. When I have a dress this perfect for dancing and flirting and what have you, there’s got to be a place to wear it. Someplace with lights that will move around and cast flashes on the lovely sequin top.
And dancing feet will look really hot with these new shoes from Courtisane! The Flights of Fancy jewelry is from Dark Mouse. I really like how the size of the flowers are similar to the size of the sequins – making them look so cohesive together. The hair is a fresh and sassy style from Gritty Kitty.

Well, Gidge beat me in the Big Hair Olympics – but I think this is a contender. It’s a style I love from Detour and is called Torrid – a good name because it does seem to just scream torrid, doesn’t it? I like it because it’s full enough and curly enough that it obscures some intersections that inevitably happen and it’s just plain sexy. With it I am wearing a great little top/dress I picked up at the Clothing Fair from Morea Style.
The top is part of an outfit and comes with denim pants. However, I wanted a more upscale look so I added the lovely tights from Royal Blue and the suede boots from Coco.

Cat from the A-Bomb team recently was inspired by a pic I plurked from Valentino’s 2010 Spring collection to create a wonderful in-world homage and was kind enough to name them the Cajsa boots. Louise Brooks was a great silent film actress and model – in fact, I would be surprised if you have not seen pictures of her at one time or another – including many striking nudes. She was very much the iconic image of the flapper era with her short bob and long pearl necklaces and her dramatic, defined makeup. Dahlinks, in keeping with the Broadway theme of the Accessory Fair has produced the Louise Brooks jewelry set of necklace, earrings and cocktail ring.
