Reasonable Desires has WORLD CUP FAN outfits out at their mainstore location for 1L a piece. I just had to break out this TEAM USA outfit that my friend Austie dropped on me in honor of a wager I have going with Prad Prathivi!

I’ve offered up some genuine Georgia Praline Pecans if  England kicks the ass of  Team USA. I’ve suggested he bring me the heart of Adam Ant if we win. But I also said I’d accept some candy instead.

I don’t particularly think that Team USA is going to win. But Europeans nearly stroke the fuck out if you even SUGGEST Team USA might beat them, so it’d good times all around in my world. I mean, they don’t care if we beat other teams from the Americas -but BY GOD WE ARE NOT BEATING ANY EUROPEAN TEAMS. You guys can admit that I’m right, I don’t even care.

I’ll admit that most of us have our kids play soccer until we think they are big enough to play real sports.

I remember consulting with image experts for a new branding campaign for an organization several years ago. Our logo and materials were all red and white and the consultants wanted us to add blue. I wanted to avoid using exploitative associations with the flag to attract support. The consultants explained that red, white and blue ad campaign color really had nothing to do with the flag, but with trying to draw both genders. Women are drawn to red and men to blue and it’s likely that our membership was 65% women was due as much to our color choices as our program. Well, that’s not true, there is a gender gap on social and economic policy, but adding blue did result in increasing the percentage of men in the organization to around 40%. I think that’s just wild that a color could do that, but I have to acknowledge that I am much more drawn to red than to blue – especially a rich cardinal red like this one in the adorable new blouse from Modern Gypsy which I have paired with an old pencil skirt from Ingenue.

I chose the chic and simple St. Tropez slingbacks from Lelutka for its lovely cardinal red.

I limited myself to bangles from Sigma and earrings from Creamshop as the blouse’s collar provided all the interest needed at the neckline.

Long ago and far away I read a book  called The Octopus by Frank Norris – a story of the exploitation of the wheat growers of California. It’s central truths, though, were as applicable to the farmers of the Midwest that I knew and their history that lead to the creation of the Grange and the Farmers Union – so I have a soft spot in my heart for that book, even though it is not very well written. One of the most memorable things about the book for me were the occasional bits of expository meanderings that began “The Wheat! The Wheat!” I saw those four words and knew it was here-we-go-again time.  “The Wheat! The Wheat!” has forever been able to send me into a fit of giggles ever since. So, of course, this post featuring the lovey butterdish sim and this glorious combine has that phrase running through my head.

You might wonder what wheat fields and countrified clothing have to do with Adam n Eve’s glorious gold metallic skin  with the face a motherboard must love, but I posit that for a wheat farmer, the techno-riffic skin is a better match than the League’s booty shorts – no matter how cute they are with the paint splatters and the too long pockets. Threshing is dusty scratchy work and anyone operating a combine in their right mind would wear long jeans. Farming, on the other hand, demands an immediacy of information that makes farmers some of the most wired people you can find and that skin is wired.

Before the internet, this farmer would head on down with her Maitreya Desert Boots to the local cafe for a mid-morning break to hear the futures on the radio. Small town restaurants across America knew the key to success was a radio tuned to the futures to draw in all the farmers who would listen, discuss the days prices and factor in their knowledge of the markets, the weather, how well the crops they and their neighbors produce were doing and try to time their commitment to sell for the optimum price. Farming combines all the intricacies of market forecasting required by Wall Street analysts with back-breaking labor, god-awful early mornings and the high stakes of gambling – all for a job that for many just scrapes by.

Today’s farmer has some advantages that earlier generations did not, though. And I don’t mean cute hats with hair from Miau Haus or fabulous jewelry from EArthSTones – though they are certainly a bonus! The cotton shirt from Artilleri also would be worn proudly by any farmer.

Today’s farmer has the internet – with frequent and complete access to commodity markets around the world, with more sophisticated weather information and the information on commodity harvests not just in your region but around the world. Yes, that increases the complexity of the decision-making process, but certainly makes for more informed decisions that are less of a gamble. That’s why when I saw this Adam n Eve skin with the Byte Makeup – I didn’t think of cyborgs. I thought of farmers.

Callie Cline released a cotton-candy sweet confection called the little glitter dress. Perfect name. It’s little, especially in length and it glitters with all the soft pastels of spring. I adore the dress and thought it was perfect for the softly romantic new Chloe skin from Exile.

The shoes are from Kookie – a fun pair of wedges that I have found irresistible lately.

I don’t know about you, but when my dress is that short, I have to wear tights. I chose one of my favorite pairs and now I have to apologize because they are no longer for sale. These are the G.L.A.M. Metallic Lycra Tintable Tights. They come in three shades of silvery gray that allow me to tint them to the color and shade I want. There are alternatives at many stores and you can search for tintable tights, but for me. I love these. Love, love, love them.  They are certainly my favorite freebie of all time.

I don’t know why Viva La Glam (the newest name of G.L.A.M.) closed its doors. Some stores close for personal reasons such as the heavy work load of school or the stress of illness. Some close because the sales don’t justify the hours of work. Some close in frustration with not making headway, or in exhaustion from the many demands for participation in fairs and expos. Some close because they can hardly create faster than the copybotters steal from them and get tired of working for the benefit of thieves.  Some quit because they get tired of unreasonable customer demands. Some just get tired of the game.. We cannot really know, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing we can do to help encourage our favorite retailers to stay. Here are just  a few ideas, and I bet you can think of more:

1. Be thankful for freebies and group gifts.
2. Read their profiles before making customer service complaints or asking for help.
3. Be polite when asking for help. It may be your one and only pressing issue, but retailers may have several issues to fix, investigate and work on. Give them time to investigate your complaints.
4. Don’t buy copied items, accept copied items as gifts or pass them on.
5. If you love a store, tell your friends. SL is a very competitive market and too many disappear before the rest of us even know they were there.
6. Tell people where you bought something when they admire it. They aren’t trying to look like you and if you keep your favorite stores a secret, they might not make enough money to stay open – then you lose.

I wore two necklaces with this dress for twice the glittery fun. The long necklace is from Swallowtail – the Bubble necklace and it’s a perfect fit for the dress. The shorter necklace is from lucas lameth’s store [luc] and I am wearing the matching earrings as well. It’s a love enamal pendant with flowers. The hair is from eha, the store I have been dragging my friends to for the last month because I love the hair and want them to stay in business and keep on making beautiful new hair for me.

The new skin release from Exile’s Kavar Cleanslate is an exquisitely soft and gentle skin for the romantic in you. With softly shaded highlights, it is very romantic and feminine. I love how well this Myst makeup goes with the outfit.

There’s nothing like showing a little strategically placed skin to up the OOOH Factor in a dress. Did I say little? The Ohara dress from Elisea Carter takes the strategically placed concept to the ultimate level.

This is not a dress for shy people as there’s glimpses of skin from head to toe, but with fabric in all the necessary spot’ it’s arrestingly beautiful without getting you arrested.

The back of the dress is what initially drew my eye in the store. I love the two necklaces that come with it. They were however, much too large and since it was no mod and did not have a resize script. I was able to return them to the owner (this is a no copy/transferable dress) who sent me replacements with resize scripts.

The outfit is one of those complete head-to-toe outfits complete with jewelry and shoes. Generally, I prefer to choose my own accessories, though with this, the necklaces are so much a part of the look, it makes sense to include them. Usually in a complete set, the quality of one or more of the items suffers and I wish they just didn’t bother. I seldom wear the complete set – but this time, the quality was good enough and it made sense with the intent of the design.

The skin is PXL Creations Candy – elegantly delicious with the EMO-tions Storm hair style. Hart is now working on the makeup colors so it can’t be long before it’s finally released and yes, I am as eager as you are.

Mostly pictures, little amounts of waffle…

First up we have new hair from Truth! Released a few days back, I think this is one of my most fav releases ever:

What beauties they are!  I love love love Tina, a sexy updo with a colour change/can be invisible bow with it’s satiny look.   This is most definately a style that can be classed as both casual and classy.. it fits both!  Wear it with jeans and a top and look casually cute or wear with a cocktail dress to look sexy and sleek.    Lourdes is also way cute, a wavy type almost shoulder length bob style with lovely dramatic swept bangs and finally, possibly my fav… Marnie!  Marnie comes in Streaked/Regular and the streaks are colour change! I am loving the streak craze hard!   This kinda looked like my RL hair (minus the streaks) before I got it cute, shaggy and bed-head with a large dose of cuteness!

Next we have the new skin from Exile – Chloe!  I’ve seen sneaky peeks and each time i’ve fell in love more.  It is SO wonderful to see how far Kavar has come from his very first skin.. to now.

She comes in five delicious tones and 10 makeups, hopefully more will come soon.. oh and there is a special subscribo gift too.. make sure you join!  Let’s take a look at the tones:

So you see you can go from a pale.. right through to a rich chocolate tone… there isn’t a gothly type tone, but that’s ok with me right now, as i’m in love with the 2nd tone you see above!   I couldn’t spot one seam on these babies, now as I say with EVERY skin I look at, I don’t tend to zoom in around the crotch or the nips, cos I’m just not *that* interested in getting naked, as long as the face, cleavage and general appearance is good, I’M GOOD! and.. IT’S GOOD!  It’s bootiful!

Makeups.. let’s look:

Firstly, ignore the stars.. they are a face tattoo I forgot I had on   Secondly.. how cute am I??   You get a good choice ranging from barely there eyes and lips to move vivid cat eyes and ruby red lips.   I adore the lips on Chloe!  I’ve shown the Light Brows but they also come with Dark, and you can see them in the tone picture, if you look closely enough

Overall a GREAT skin and Kavar should be patted on the back.   Released with the skins were eyelashes and shapes too.. that make WORKS!   The Hair you see is also from Exile..  you’ll lose a lot of lindens when you visit, trust me!   Even if you only try a demo, GO NOW!

Last but by no means least.. an upcoming release from Exodi!

These are the Sleepover undies!! Now all I need is a pillow that spits feathers and some ice-cream.. oh and a horror movie.. right??  Shown in just four of the many colours available (four of my favs!) these are some gorgeous underoos!  Basic cami and pants but with a cute lace touch and stripey pants!   They have beautiful shading and are great quality underoos that you could probably class as a cami to wear with jeans too.. doubleee scoreeee!!!

Sometimes an outfit is just dreamy with soft, gentle colors – all flowing and romantic. That’s the case with this one, though the dreaminess begins with the stunning hair from BOON. The new XFE275 hair from BOON is an amazing confection that I like think came out of dreams – nice, misty dreams or roses and romance.

The Mirage dress from SwanSong combines a corseted bodice with a full multi-layered skirt that makes me think of ballerinas and dancing on clouds. The back of the dress laces up as you can see in the first photo.

I added the Nishar leggings from Zaara (50% off sale at Zaara this week) as I loved the way the cherry blossoms up the leg connected the shoes to the dress so beautifully. The shoes are new wedges from Kookie and I am loving them.

The jewelry is from Illusions – an old set I have had for about two years, but still lovely as ever.  The makeup is Brooke from 5th & Oxford – a very romantic and gentle skin with the softness I wanted for such a dreamy outfit.

Now, I don’t usually edit the photos much in photoshop beyond cropping and adjusting levels to get the light right – but this was such a dream outfit I could not resist using the one really fancy filter I have called Dreamy Photo – it’s a free filter that you can download from AutoFX – and that link goes right to the filter so you can see what it does and download it if you like. The filter’s present makes the photos too blurry so I dialed it back from 70% to 20% on the blending to make it less blurry – but still dreamy enough.

Flachra Lach of Essentia sent me a this incredibly delicate and beautiful necklace and earrings with an announcement that there was a 50% off sale at Essentia through June 7th. I haven’t had a chance to get the picture up until today which means you have one more shopping day at 50% off. When I saw the necklace I knew I really wanted to show it – and so began to build a look for it. My first impulse was something Southwest with the feeling of Taos and deserts and all that, but I quickly decided that was too obvious and started wandering around my inventory folder. It was a fun exploration that helped me clean up a bit of the inventory, too. In the end, though I abandoned Taos for India and indulged in a lot of casual Zaara which is really timely because there’s a 50% off sale at Zaara as well.

I put on the Zaara Isis blouse in white – a gorgeous and flexible blouse that allows you to wear it tucked or untucked. I then thought I would find some nice wide-legged pants or palazzo pants for a super casual patio look, but these Satin Pants from Lelutka caught my eye. With the tight buttoned cuff below the wide legs, they remind me a bit of the uniforms from the Raj. I then added a jacket from Zaara and as soon as I put it on, I changed the blouse from white to lilac to tie everything together better.

That meant I just had to pop over to Zaara to pick up her new shoes. They are scripted to allow you to change the colors across the top so you can really have fun with your outfits. With the teal bottoms, I chose the purple tops to tie the entire outfit together with one item.

Colorful eye makeup from Lelutka and the softly casual updo from Detour complete the look. Here you can see exactly how delicate and intricate the earrings are with the finely made golden feathers.

If you haven’t heard of The Dressing Room, you’ve been missing out: it’s a store where various designers sell their wares for a seriously discounted price. The collections change regularly, and the latest includes this gorgeous skin from Tuli at a mere L$65.

You just get the one choice (plus an eyebrow shape which I’m also wearing), but for the price you really can’t complain. The skin is made to Tuli’s usual exacting standards with excellent attention to detail, skin creasing at the joints and subtle shading all over giving the skin a realistic but glamorous feel. The face is particularly charming with its nude lips and smokey eye shadow, the cheeks lifted with a bronzer on the bone.

To show it off without giving everything away, I’m wearing underwear by WoE that’s currently on sale at Rouge with 50% of profits being donated for the sim’s upkeep. The Olivia set comes with bodice, knickers and several choices of hosiery in various shades – I haven’t shown those here, but opted instead for stockings by Insolence which I paired with this garter belt from one of Camille Yosuke’s delightful sets. The colour and style is an almost perfect match to the WoE outfit and in my opinion adds extra appeal to this sexy set.

I’m a huge fan of pearls in both lives and have been delighted by the number of creators who stock pearl jewellery. Caroline Apollo’s latest release is a pearl posing set which supplies you with colour change necklaces in various styles to go with her poseballs which will drape you glamourously across the floor, entwined in your chosen beads. My favourite is easily the broken necklace which has pearls still falling from the broken string – quite beautiful and wide open for artistic interpretation in your shots.

Truth Hawks continues to feed my hair addiction, continuing to produce high-quality styles with glorious textures whatever your colour preferences. This Tina style comes with a texture change bow which can be removed (made invisible) if you prefer it; the style has a rather more whimsical feel with the accent and more of a dressy updo without. Pinned up with loose tendrils spiralling down at the sides and wisps of hair floating free at the back, the hair doesn’t feel static but rather soft and romantic.

Well, don’t tell their spouses and partners, but I think that Saschi Vixen of Adam n Eve, Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice and Chance Greatrex of DARE must have had at least a mental mènage á trois because their creations work together so perfectly. When I saw the Adam n Eve Chrome skin I immediately thought of Baiastice more avant designs with a futuristic edge. Putting them together, I knew I wanted a different aesthetic for the poses than the usual and pulled out DARE’s magnificent homage to the art of Robert Longo. I love what the three create together in the pictures I shot at Omega Point. I shot most of the poses in the set if you care to click through to see the rest.

I wanted strong, editorial shoes as well so I chose the Gos Dare Booties with color scripted toes. Yes, you can color your toes chrome, it just takes a few tries. It was easier than I expected thanks to the several preset tones including a white/near white tone.

Baiastice’s Luna outfit combines futuristic form with very traditional fabrics. The corset top would as easily suit a saloon girl in the 1890 as this chroma-girl of the 2890s. The rich brocade prints are equally vintage in design, but they are cut, shaped and fitted into a completely futuristic form in the pants and jacket.

The Chrome skin from Adam n Eve is beautifully contoured to highlight every movement which lends itself delightfully to the unusual shapes and movement of the Robert Longo poses from DARE. I love how the sheen accentuates the poses.

A melange of silver jewelry from Rozoregalia, +plus, U&R Dogs and Kraftika blend into a powerful addition to the outfit.I really wanted strong jewelry so doubled up, for example, with the Rozoregalia Hydra Handring and the DeLa bangle on this hand – and U&R Dogs Rings and a +plus bangle on the other.

The small details matter, too, so I hopped over to Poetic Colors to find eyes that would work with my idea. The Fairytale eyes don’t have the normal whites of the eyes so they seemed the perfect choice – especially as they are half off this weekend. The lashes are from MiaMai – No Alpha No 4 and have lovely little gems set into the lashes.  The hair is from Tami McCoy – a soft style with a strong schock of white. By the way, since we are zoomed this close, take a look at the marvelous detail in the shoulder fabric. Beautiful!

The Petal Dress from Modern Gypsy is such a delicate color and billows so softly around the body that wearing it, I felt like I was wearing a cloud. It’s a cloud with a more solid satin inner cloud and a diaphounous, soft and sheer outer cloud, but it’s a cloud.

I wore the lovely DeLa Stella sandals with the huge floppy bow. The only proper attire while wearing clouds is shoes with bows.

Of course, if you wear a cloud you need delicately made jewelry like this set from La Forgia which is unironically named Delicate.

The hair is from 0 Style and the skin from Tuli – the marvelous Tuli skin with makeup suited for a cloud.

Yaaaaawn Stretch. Hiyas everyone. You all have Callie Cline to blame for my transformation into the most spoiled kitty on The Grid. I just went over to buy a couple of dresses, but there it was, the tail by Psychotic Neko for Callie Cline and the diamond Nekoture ears…….and I was hooked. Come on, how could I not love something THIS girly?

I thought I’d torture you and make you follow the glammiest, prissiest kitty ever around for a day. There are even two SUPER SPECIAL GUEST STARS in today’s post, but you gotta WAIT for them!

To start our kitty day, we need a bath. NO, we are not afraid of water. As long as the water comes from a fancy roman bath…….quit staring, you bum lookers.

After that I’m ready to start my day. I’m a fairly lazy kitty, but I like a bit of outdoorsy fun,so I head off to play some tennis.

Yes I always play wearing all my jewels. Don’t you? After I got all sweaty and gross playing tennis I headed off to the day spa to relax and get beautiful. And after a massage and a style I felt much better.

I felt so good, as a matter of fact, that I decided I should go have a nap on the beach at Artilleri.

I’m a cat, I sleep a lot, what do you want from me? After I napped for a while I decided that it wasn’t a proper day out on the grid without some dancing, so I popped into a random place and danced with strangers.

While dancing with random peoples who weren’t as pretty or as prissy as me, I realized that I actually knew someone who owned a club, and I really ought to patronize his place, especially since he just built this NEW club. But when I got there, I was too tired to dance, so I laid out by his pool instead.

When I’d had my fill of sunbathing and lounging, I decided I was hungry so I rang up my friend Clio and we headed to the sushi bar.

We stuffed ourselves on the most giant sashimi you have ever seen. I highly recommend this place. And the sushi vendor was extremely well skilled…..for a hair designer named Kavar . He must be moonlighting………..

After dining on delicious sushi I headed over to our friend QXI’s gallery THE HOUSE OF QXI to enjoy some of her erotic art. Pervy, eh?

After SUCH a busy day, it was great to get back to our place, mainland or no, and just chill out with Silo.

Sweet Lovely Cute is the name of a pose store that Gogo introduced me to the other day. The poses are adorable, making it a very well-named store. However, I think the name suits this dress from Modern Gypsy equally well. I love floral prints for summer – they make me happy.

What could be more fun with a floral print than a pair of shoes with a big flower? These Bubbles Bizarre shoes from Baiastice are a fun choice.

The necklace is a group gift from Happy Mood from when they first opened. I added the wind chime earrings from Bliensen & MaiTai.

A soft spring color makeup from Baiastice and a casual updo from Clawtooth complete the outfit.

Well, it’s not a perfect fit for the I Feel Pretty lyrics, but this Princess Dotty dress from Modern Gypsy is definitely dotty, witty and bright, so why not? It’s certainly a fun way of looking at it.

Sticking with the fun theme, there’s the fun and witty and bright Studded Wedge Sandals from J’s. Particularly fun was my efforts to adjust the skin tone as I have become so used to shoes with the entire foot adjustable, I was so proud of my matching job until I realized that that’s actually my foot and it’s only the toes that are adjusted. Luckily, they matched as well.

Another fun element to this outfit are the Pretty Hands from Page 3. A prim nail set with color control hud that allows you to double up and have rings with your prim nails. You can choose the metal and stones in the rings and decide whether to wear all four or none of them. There’s also a wide range of nail colors – including this purple to match the dress. Even more fun are the poses I picked up at Sweet Lovely Cute – a pose store Gogo sent me to along with this advice “To hell with our budget.” Since there are so many irresistibly cute poses, pose props AND more AOs than I have ever seen in one place – she had a point.

The jewelry I have had for well over a year. It’s from Puarangi Design and an old favorite that I have worn time and again. It’s so old, it’s got the old Hi-Flo name on it, but it was still available last time I checked.  The hair is from Lamb and has a lovely ponytail with bangs. It’s not exactly as delivered as the bangs completely covered my eyes, so I edited those particular prims and raised them up just a tiny bit.  They still mostly cover the eyes as was intended, but I don’t feel like I should walk into walls for veracity’s sake.

Exodi is releasing a new skinline today called Dael.  This is such a pretty skin and deserves a demo test!  Tp over to Exodi today and try it out! Dael is a pretty skin available in 4 skin tones, 10 makeups per tone, with light and dark brows, freckles, and cleavage options for each. Individual skins will be sold for $1,000L, with packs of 5 going for $3,000L and the fatpack of 10 skins for $5,000L.

The overall look of the Dael is beautiful.  Deal has gorgeous features, great shading and highlights, and you can tell hours of attention to detail took up a lot of Rykers time.  My favorite part of the skin is the subtle glow which is perfect for summer looks.  I love all the makeup choices Dael has to offer.  The eye shadows have to be my favorite and are all very playful.  I love the pouty lips, but I do wish the lower lip wasn’t so shaded; if it was just a tad lighter it would be perfect; but the shading is not that noticeable and doesn’t take anything away from the beauty in the face.  I also am not a fan of extra highlighting around the top lip.  A small amount is ok but I could do without it all together.  

The things I didn’t like about the skin are minor imperfections that are really not noticeable.   The nostril shading is too dark for me, there are a few seams that are in hidden places (back of the neck and ankles), and I am not a fan of the nipples (too big and I do not like the photo sourced texture).  These things are very minor and I will not notice them much b/c I wear prim shoes a lot that covers the ankle, I am rarely topless in photos, and I will live with extra shading in my nose I would still encourage you to buy this skin because it is very beautiful and the overall look is amazing.

This outfit is all about the pants – even though with the high boots you only see a bit of them, that bit is enough because these are Pants of Power.  Well, actually, I just made that part up. Still the new Graphic Skinny Pants from Modern Gypsy are cool enough and simultaneously hot enough to turn heads 360 degrees – so that makes them  Pants of Power in my book.

Pants of power must be handled with care, so to reduce your exposure I wore a long tunic from Ce Cubic Effect and the shortest of J’s ThighHigh Boots. This kept exposure to a minimum to make sure no one’s pacemakers were damaged or some such.

After restraining myself so much with the pants – I went all out on the jewelry side with the YinYang Suri set from Ganked. I added one bracelet from Zaara instead of wearing the Suri bracelets on both arms for more variety and to break it up a bit.

The hair is Nikita Fride’s Lust hair – and I love that hair bow on the side. The skin is Keira from Dutch Touch with lovely smokey eyes. All the poses came from the new set of Runway poses from Behavior Body. These poses have beautiful movement into the pose, perfect for the runway. They also will hold position as you need, making them work for photos as well.

Music is something that I couldn’t live without in my Life. It has been a part of me as long as I can think. To celebrate the music I hear I started dancing at very young age. Dancing makes you happy, it really does, next time you feel sad turn up your speakers loud and just shake what your momma gave you. It’s a little like a warm sunny day that embraces you. I appreciate every form and expression of dancing. This post is inspired by my 1st addiction in Life Music and dancing.

Since I am a little “drama- queen” I invite you to a dramatic tango. The “francis” dress by Kunglers Couture was just perfect for this Spanish Tango look I had in mind the fan was quickly found on X-street, I really have to say LL has improved the search sand shopping experience. So glad that this was also another opportunity to wear Alienbear’s “Mayur” jewelry set. It’s simply amazing work.

House of Dashwood has produced a couple amazing dresses inspired by Alice in Wonderland – and my favorite was the Dark Hearts dress that is perfect for any Queen of Hearts with an edge.

I indulged the Queen’s wild side with the new Bare Fay fetish pumps from Stiletto Moody – with a wild zebra skin with a black and white texture that winks while echoing the black and white stripes of the sheer overskirt fabric.

Assorted pieces of onyx and silver jewelry from Zaara and a lovely updo from Clawtooth complement the wickedly regal look.

The smokey eyes and pale lips from this Keirak makeup option from Dutch Touch completes the look dramatically.

Anyone who has read this blog for any amount of time knows that I am FROM Indianapolis and that as far as I’m concerned the only reason the month of May exists is so that cars can scream around the Speedway for my pleasure.

I dug into my closet and came out with this excellent Seaside Sweetie set from 5th and Oxford to wear today to celebrate my favorite racing event. You gotta wear black and white, there are rules – especially if you are going to any sort of GOOD party. Plus, you may not know this, but the good people of Indianapolis cannot SEE the race, which starts in 31 minutes AS I type this.

Nope – they are blacked out. Can’t watch until about 6pm or so tonight. Isn’t that lame?

I am also bringing you some fresh new poses today, which is usually Cajsa’s domain. These are the new Runway Poses from Behavior Body creator Antosperandeo Allen. I wish I knew how to make machina as these static shots don’t do them a justice!

The hair is a new release from Simply Britnee called Calor – I’m wearing her blonde.

Now, I am going downstairs to have a beer or six. Because it’s race day and I should’ve STARTED my day drinking to do it right. This whole parenting thing really gets in the way of my boozing I tell you what.

This little cocktail dress is not Baiastice Neat, but a lovely little Baiastice Cocktail mixing one part Baiastice with one part Malt. The skirt is Baiastice’s lovely taffetta stripe skirt and the top is from Malt’s Florentia dress – and add-on frill that some perfectly complements the skirt that it looks like they were made to be together – a perfect martini of an outfit, stirred not shaken. I prefer gin and you stir gin martinis and shake vodka martinis, unless you’re just copying James Bond without knowing why he wants his shaken. Bond’s a vodka martini man, the poser!

The Electric Blue Saffron Pumps from Lelutka are a great option – tying it all back to the blue at the top after the purple and black stripes at the bottom of the skirt.

The Florentia frill is the perfect blue, but even more it has purple highlights that make it an uncanny match to the skirt. The DeLa necklace, earrings and bracelet were chosen to highlight the purple accent in the skirt stripe.

Hair from Exile and skin from Dutch Touch complete the look. I really like the modern style of the Fiona updo from Exile.

It is my opinion that the Cowboy Boots of Evil go with more things than I ever break them out for.  But when Baiastice celebrated it’s 3rd Anniversary and Sissy was gracious enough to offer awesome outfits at a discount to celebrate, I knew I needed boots with this one.

I had been looking for something to wear with my new hair from Fashionably Dead.  I like their hair. I can’t believe I never shopped there before, but thank PLURK I found another store that I have to like now.

So a belated Happy Birthday to Sissy and Baiastice – I already sent one up over on Freestyle but I’m all still stuck in the new baby fog and get more behind here on IOF than I should. Luckily Cajsa lets me live .

I’m also wearing one of the new skins from EXILE – I really like all of them that I’ve unpacked but keep forgetting to shoot any.  I have to remember to because they are all lovely. I wanted something VERY made up- and the OLD HOLLYWOOD was just the ticket. I used to have a boss that’d say “I just love your lipstick” when I wore this sort of color. I wonder what he was thinking of………..
