Tiny Bird is offering some really cute things for 50 L$ Friday this week. One of them being this Painted Bird dress. Autumn Hykova recently ventured into making clothing, next to her renowned hair collection, and so far, her designs are totally cute and well made.

Yesterday there was somewhat of a panic on plurk. Truth hair day… but…. where is the hair??? Oh my, we are so conditioned to Thursday Hairday that people plurk around frantically to see if they can get their weekly fix.

Best proof that regular, scheduled releases work!!

A reader commented that she felt cheated because I edit the pics on my blog, that in reality the textures looked all wrong and not looking alive. I am actually glad she commented this because truth is… I do… sometimes, edit pics that are featured on my blog. Like yesterday when I bloggged the Mercy shoes from Orange Creations, but I think you’d have to be blind not to realise it is edited.

What I never edit though are my LOTD pictures, other than that I crop them and add a border. I simply lack the PS skills to edit all my pics (it would take WAY too much time, and suck the fun right out of me) and besides, I think that products featured should reflect the actual quality as much as possible.

So to illustrate how I work when I take pictures, here is… a picture:

It is no secret that I am a hard core fan of the work of Twiggy Whippet and Dakota Buck.  Kota is a long term friend of mine and I have been following her designs from the beginning ( I actually still have my Savvy? collection neatly tucked away in my inventory, and if it weren’t so mean to use items that are no longer available on the grid, I would use them in my outfits as well, because the designs still rock) and since Twiggy joined Kota in their current bran Whippet & Buck, the quality of said designs have only improved. The ladies have found their own, unique, style of laid back casual fashion, with amazing textures and a great fit of prim parts.

RAWR!!!!!! Have Mercy indeed.. these are the new heels from Nut Barak, owner of Orange Creations. The previous heels were great already and these are better yet! On Mercy, Nut has enhanced the foot texture, adding a bit of a sheen, which makes the match with most skins better and there is an updated skin preset notecard available as well. These heels come in 14 colors and oh well, what can I say… I’m having a really great shoe weekend!

I was checking out Lelutka’s new collection today, and therefore this style du jour is mainly about them. I’m wearing the lovely Ornella pants in “perky” with the Nouvelle Top in electric blueberry. Also from Lelutka are my saffron pumps in neutral navy and my skin Lola (light make up 5 and lipstick orange -only for SL2.0-)

Adam ‘n Eve has been closed for a couple of days to give Sachi and Damen the chance to put the new build in place and set the new shop up. They are back now, and there is lots of new stuff as well. Diferent look, same trusted quality!

Among the new things is Rosamund, shown in red and black here. Rosamund comes with a big skirt and a sleek skirt option, a veil, stockings  and the possibility to wear the bodice as a teddy!

So, I think this week’s 50 L$ Friday is going to be a series of must haves again. Yesterday I showed you Casa del Shai’s contribution already, and today I am wearing 5th  & Oxford‘s Seaside Sweetie, which is a preview of their upcoming release in an exclusive 50 L$ Friday colour (will not be part of the release). Roslin has really nailed the butt shading on these high waist shorts, and to make a stripe pattern look this good on the SL avatar mesh, is a pain in the butt and also the other contributions I have seen so far from Artilleri and Arcade tell me that it’s worthwile braving the lag this week!

On a whole different subject, Luth Brodie from Reel Expressions has released new poses again. It’s been quiet for a while at Luth’s, but the last few weeks, she’s on a roll again. I couldn’t resist ...

Well, maybe I should have given this entry the title Look of Tomorrow, since this gorgeous maxi dress will be a 50 L$ Friday item from Casa del Shai and also the skin, Dael, from Exodi (Nuit, 7 dk) is not yet released (ETA June 1), but yeah, it’s a preview and I am wearing it, so it’s my LOTD. Tomorrow, Tuli Asturias will launch her new skin, Jade.  Jade will be available in 5 skintones and 10 make ups each. You are already used to Tuli making her skins available in 3 eyebrow options, but now she has also 3 cleavages for you to chose from (small chest, medium chest and push up) I love this as I keep my boob sliders way down, and it can look a bit weird sometimes with busty shaded skins, so I’m all for the small chest option!

Milla Michinaga @ Michami has released this sexy new dress “Kat” in some beautiful color combinations. I’ve picked the black/silver one for today’s look. Kat comes with both a sculpted and a system skirt, but to be honest, I find that the sculpt skirt gives me a bigger butt than the system skirt, so I’m sticking with that.

I’m combining the dress with Aoharu’s black collarless jacket, Blowpop’s fishnet stockings, Tesla’s black Angelina boots and LeLutka’s black Jills Fighting Talk gloves.

Adding some carfully picked accesoires such as fri.day’s black cinch belt, Mandala’s Shaka necklace and GOS’new Cateye sunglasses and I’m good to go… well, anywhere really.

I’m wearing Belleza’s Elle (blond, pale 6) and Epoque’s Calm hair.

The Asian shirt from yesterday’s look was not the only thing I picked up while I was shopping at Arai. This blue striped Simple Twas also among my purchases. I’m combining it with the red cuffs of Artilleri’s red Beatrix shirt to make it a bit more girly. The red Sendal scarf was a x-mas gift from the creators behind Maitreya and I don’t think it’s available in the shop, but I love it and I wear it quite often.
The Anjuna pants are from Zaara and the white Sheila thongs are from SLink. the grey “My VW Thing”sunglasses are from Surf Couture.

I’m still in PXL Creations new beta skin, although this is like 5 versions after the one I wore yesterday and Anna in timid brown from fri.day is today’s hair.

A bit safari inspired today, I don’t know, maybe because finally the sun is shining here again (and my garden is a mess, worse than a jungle) .

I’m wearing the white Asian shirt from Arai, with the fatigue camo Safari shorts from Casa del Shai. In my Hoorenbeek Lucille boots (coffee) I’m wearing the off white gartered overkneee socks from League.

The Ukuni bracelet and Kizazi necklace are both from Uzuri and the Half Shutter sunglasses from Kalnins, I have stolen from Hunain’s inventory (I think he makes love to these glasses when no one is around, but I kinda have to agree with him, they are among the best glasses on the grid)

Truth’s Sylvia hair from this week’s release is an absolute hit and my skin is a work in progress at PXL ...

It’s a full figured Monday I’m wearing Maitreya’s boyfriend jeans and Nyte ‘n Day’s blue transpose blouse under Nyte ‘n Day’s white Transpose vest/ Earrings and Necklace Aemilia in indigo are from Whippet & Buck. The cobalt lucid belt is from fri.day and the blue 8 holes are from GOS.

I have modified my Julie shape to make her even a bit fuller an did some small tweaking to fit Laqroki’s Pearl (fair, make up 07) and I’ve picked Truth’s Riley in champagne to complete today’s look.

mmm… this week has been amazing for poor little skinwhoreish me  with releases like Isis and Lola, Taylor and just yesterday Julie, I am just a happy girl. A couple of days ago I have released at /GEEZ/ 3 new shapes for the ladies, and today I have added 2 more shapes.  It’s good to be back at making shapes again.

Sayuri has been a work in progress for a bit. Made for Tuli’s latest release I wanted her to be cute and ultrafeminine. The result is a petite Asian shape, with almond eyes and a heartshaped, kissable mouth

The second shape I have made for Julie, the newest red head from Laqroki. I wanted a more voluptuous and creamy looking shape for this lady, a bit à la Christina Hendricks (without actually looking like her, but you know… some meat on the bones!)

Autumn Hykova from Tiny Bird has made some adorable summer dresses! I couldn’t pick a colour, so I’ve been playing Barbie all night switching, to finally settle for the bright pink St. Augustine dress. I thought it would be really cute with the flower cardigan from Coco.

Such a summer combination doesn’t need a lot more, so I just slipped into fri.day’s berry basic flats and put on my teal Onyxia sunglasses from Artilleri and I’m all ready to go!

I’m wearing Tres Blah’s Hiccup skin (Lavender Lippie, which was a stumblebum special) and Tiny Bird’s Greetings from Italy hair in warm black.

Yesterdays was about the jammies, today is about the amazing new Vagabond pants which Toast Bard from Fashionably Dead released earlier today. At first I thought, wow… L$ 250? But then I saw that is for 4 pairs in black, white, grey and brown so that is really an amazing price!

A little after I picked up the trousers, I was talking to Dakota Buck, from Whippet & Buck, how Toast inspires her to create new things and that she wished she could achieve the level of wearability (which does exist in SL, odd as it may seem) that Toast has. But I think that both Dakota and Twiggy are doing a really fine job as far as wearability and creativity goes with their collection, so I’m gladly combining Toasts pants with Whippet & Buck’s turquoise ...

It’s a pajama day, I think… with these totally comfy checkered lounge pants from Zoobong. I was wearing Blowpop’s brown Yvette bra and Dutch Touch’s blue tank top, but I got a bit chilly, so I added League’s ecru cropped Grandad vest. I think it looks really comfy now. Surf Couture’s freedom flops in navy on my feet, Earthstones Kolo necklace as a sole accessory and I’m all ready to curl up my sofa and read a god book. Any suggestions?
