Reasonable Desires has WORLD CUP FAN outfits out at their mainstore location for 1L a piece. I just had to break out this TEAM USA outfit that my friend Austie dropped on me in honor of a wager I have going with Prad Prathivi!

I’ve offered up some genuine Georgia Praline Pecans if  England kicks the ass of  Team USA. I’ve suggested he bring me the heart of Adam Ant if we win. But I also said I’d accept some candy instead.

I don’t particularly think that Team USA is going to win. But Europeans nearly stroke the fuck out if you even SUGGEST Team USA might beat them, so it’d good times all around in my world. I mean, they don’t care if we beat other teams from the Americas -but BY GOD WE ARE NOT BEATING ANY EUROPEAN TEAMS. You guys can admit that I’m right, I don’t even care.

I’ll admit that most of us have our kids play soccer until we think they are big enough to play real sports.

Mostly pictures, little amounts of waffle…

First up we have new hair from Truth! Released a few days back, I think this is one of my most fav releases ever:

Tina | Lourdes | Marnie

What beauties they are!  I love love love Tina, a sexy updo with a colour change/can be invisible bow with it’s satiny look.   This is most definately a style that can be classed as both casual and classy.. it fits both!  Wear it with jeans and a top and look casually cute or wear with a cocktail dress to look sexy and sleek.    Lourdes is also way cute, a wavy type almost shoulder length bob style with lovely dramatic swept bangs and finally, possibly my fav… Marnie!  Marnie comes in Streaked/Regular and the streaks are colour change! I am loving the streak craze hard!   This kinda looked like my RL hair (minus the streaks) before I got it cute, shaggy and bed-head with a large dose of cuteness!

Next we have the new skin from Exile – Chloe!  I’ve seen sneaky peeks and each time i’ve fell in love more.  It is SO wonderful to see how far Kavar has come from his very first skin.. to now.

She comes in five delicious tones and 10 makeups, hopefully more will come soon.. oh and there is a special subscribo gift too.. make sure you join!  Let’s take a look at the tones:

So you see you can go from a pale.. right through to a rich chocolate tone… there isn’t a gothly type tone, but that’s ok with me right now, as i’m in love with the 2nd tone you see above!   I couldn’t spot one seam on these babies, now as I say with EVERY skin I look at, I don’t tend to zoom in around the crotch or the nips, cos I’m just not *that* interested in getting naked, as long as the face, cleavage and general appearance is good, I’M GOOD! and.. IT’S GOOD!  It’s bootiful!

Makeups.. let’s look:

Firstly, ignore the stars.. they are a face tattoo I forgot I had on   Secondly.. how cute am I??   You get a good choice ranging from barely there eyes and lips to move vivid cat eyes and ruby red lips.   I adore the lips on Chloe!  I’ve shown the Light Brows but they also come with Dark, and you can see them in the tone picture, if you look closely enough

Overall a GREAT skin and Kavar should be patted on the back.   Released with the skins were eyelashes and shapes too.. that make WORKS!   The Hair you see is also from Exile..  you’ll lose a lot of lindens when you visit, trust me!   Even if you only try a demo, GO NOW!

Last but by no means least.. an upcoming release from Exodi!

These are the Sleepover undies!! Now all I need is a pillow that spits feathers and some ice-cream.. oh and a horror movie.. right??  Shown in just four of the many colours available (four of my favs!) these are some gorgeous underoos!  Basic cami and pants but with a cute lace touch and stripey pants!   They have beautiful shading and are great quality underoos that you could probably class as a cami to wear with jeans too.. doubleee scoreeee!!!

This look was inspired by the Tourist Jacket by Fri.day. I have had the red one and with the sale going on now I picked up the brown shade. If I could make sculpties I would want to create this jacket. I love the ruffle detailing. Kind of a mix of military style with a feminine edge.

I needed some hair that was off the shoulder to show the jacket collar off fully and decided to go with the always creative and fresh hair by lamb called Ambrosia. With the hot summer days I would wear my hair up like this if I took the time. It makes me want to sit in front of a fan on the porch down in Louisiana or something.

The rest of the outfit is all Maitreya. I had picked up the girdle, bodysuit, and stockings when I was shopping for an outfit to model in for a friend’s store. I’m a loyal and huge fan of Maitreya. Maitreya is modern and high quality. I know word was getting around showing the RL inspiration for these shoes but one thing I have learned is in copyright you can’t place that on a shape. However, if that shape has a distinct print – that print could be copyrighted – so big difference if you are photo sourcing versus creating based on shape. My favorite part is the zipper. I admire those that can sculpt such detail (note the theme here with the jacket and now shoes). I do have to make a note here and thank designers that do included all layers in their items – this outfit would not have been possible otherwise.

The skin is the newest release by Redgrave called Zuri. I love the make-up to match in the color of the bodysuit. And I’m gonna go out on a limb a bit and speak more of copyright – I’m not a huge fan of photo sourcing if one does not have permission to do so. I’m not slandering Redgrave because a lot of people photo source using proper sources and I don’t have any facts to be a judge of their process without having talked to the creators. So no torch lighting here, I did buy the skin didn’t I? I do hope that all are reputable when using photo sources. I will have to give admiration to Redgrave for I feel like they changed the way of creating and selling skins in Second Life.

Finally the eyes are by The Abyss. They sell with one of their male skins called Dave Gears but heck eyes are eyes and aren’t gender specific last I looked. I liked the soft hue that they create with the overall look.

I hope that you enjoy my look and appreciate any feedback. I know that copyright is a long and sometimes touchy subject. I’m no expert so I speak using my own opinion and knowledge and am always open for discussion.

During one of my many attempts to downscale my inventory, I came across this dress again. It has been in there since… well.. I think since September 16, 2006, which is the day after I originally rezzed, and it was kinda old back then already. It has survived every inventory cleaning so far though and I think that it still looks pretty amazing after all this time, right?

Chip Midnight was one of the first designers around, and probably, the first ever to make photoreal skins commercially available to SL residents (many still use his templates for skins). I don’t know if he ever logs in these days, my guess is, he doesn’t because his profile still links back to onrez,  but his shop is around still (charter members got a plot of free land for life) . It is like a step back in time, vendors with models in system hair (he actually still sells some textured system hair models!), skins which now look bad, but at some time were top of the bill (do consider the fantasy skins though, they are still wonderful, though to today’s standard, expensive), some clothing that just makes me smile when I look at it because… well, because it’s just so very 2005…. But among all the fossils of SL, there are also a few gems like this dress. If you like SLvintage, Chip’s shop is definitely worth the TP.

I figured I should throw some fashion into the post (and yes kickin it old school with my old photo format) – and I have been on a shopping spree because what’s the best thing to do when you’re frustrated, angry and your business is getting killed by a search bug? FAHGETABOUTIT AND GO SHOPPING! First stop, Sn@tch! This ‘swirl and swing’ dress just appealed to my own personal sense of whimsy! A must have and a bargain at $250L for 3 different versions. Seriously, Sn@tch’s pricing is the bomb. I paired it with the new Lola skin from Lelutka – I only bought ONE of these skins, thinking that I could make it go farther in 2.0 because of the different lipsticks available using the new tattoo layer option. However since I hate 2.0 (what did I type that outloud?), and everything but the skin itself has vanished from my inventory you see just the basic skin! Lovely, no? Seriously this is the first Lelutka skin I really like – the only thing about Lelutka skin is that I always look annoyed. Since of course this is my current mood, I felt it was fitting! I also went to fri.day sale last night and basically bought all the hairs I did not have. It was a leap of faith, because the store was so packed, there was no trying on demo’s – I basically just waited for the photos to rez and then bought in my color – this Scarlet do with headband is my personal favorite! Another new favorite of mine are the new flats from Zaara. The texture on these flats is so well done, that I felt compelled to include a close up. Plus I cannot do prim feet, so having options to hide my ugly Linden issue feet is a great bonus. Finally I accessorized with what will shortly be a new release (as in, as soon as I get my shit together, stop bitching and package up the damn thing)! I love you all, and ask you once more, please vote on this JIRA issue today. Second Life is what it is not only because of the huge businesses that sell fabulous stuff that we all know and love but ALSO because of its wondrous variety of creators and unique items. If the smaller and unique shops lose search, they will lose their tenuous hold on affordability. Do it today, for me and for the businesses like mine.

Yaaaaawn Stretch. Hiyas everyone. You all have Callie Cline to blame for my transformation into the most spoiled kitty on The Grid. I just went over to buy a couple of dresses, but there it was, the tail by Psychotic Neko for Callie Cline and the diamond Nekoture ears…….and I was hooked. Come on, how could I not love something THIS girly?

I thought I’d torture you and make you follow the glammiest, prissiest kitty ever around for a day. There are even two SUPER SPECIAL GUEST STARS in today’s post, but you gotta WAIT for them!

To start our kitty day, we need a bath. NO, we are not afraid of water. As long as the water comes from a fancy roman bath…….quit staring, you bum lookers.

After that I’m ready to start my day. I’m a fairly lazy kitty, but I like a bit of outdoorsy fun,so I head off to play some tennis.

Yes I always play wearing all my jewels. Don’t you? After I got all sweaty and gross playing tennis I headed off to the day spa to relax and get beautiful. And after a massage and a style I felt much better.

I felt so good, as a matter of fact, that I decided I should go have a nap on the beach at Artilleri.

I’m a cat, I sleep a lot, what do you want from me? After I napped for a while I decided that it wasn’t a proper day out on the grid without some dancing, so I popped into a random place and danced with strangers.

While dancing with random peoples who weren’t as pretty or as prissy as me, I realized that I actually knew someone who owned a club, and I really ought to patronize his place, especially since he just built this NEW club. But when I got there, I was too tired to dance, so I laid out by his pool instead.

When I’d had my fill of sunbathing and lounging, I decided I was hungry so I rang up my friend Clio and we headed to the sushi bar.

We stuffed ourselves on the most giant sashimi you have ever seen. I highly recommend this place. And the sushi vendor was extremely well skilled…..for a hair designer named Kavar . He must be moonlighting………..

After dining on delicious sushi I headed over to our friend QXI’s gallery THE HOUSE OF QXI to enjoy some of her erotic art. Pervy, eh?

After SUCH a busy day, it was great to get back to our place, mainland or no, and just chill out with Silo.

Yes, Dark Mouse fell out of search, again.

Why am I so upset? What does it really matter anyway? First off, I’m a minor shop owner in the world we all call Second Life – I’ll never be a big shop owner in SL – I don’t have the time to learn the skills that I need to really put full effort into it. SL is a hobby for me. Second, I’m just a cartoon character in a cartoon world. Right? One of my favorite sayings is, ‘let’s not get upset, no one is having brain surgery here.”

I did all the right things. I tested my viewer. I tested the regular viewer. I went to live chat, I filed a ticket. I went to live chat again.

Here’s the conversation:

It has fallen out of search, again – it appeared briefly after my last complaint for about 5 days. Typically my store appears on page one. I filed a ticket but there has been no response. Reality is that search has never worked correctly for my store – I guess that if I was a big name store you’d care more. At this point I have to wonder why I bother with SL.

I cried after I ended this conversation. Which is just pathetic. I’m crying over a video game. I have so many commitments in SL right now, that I can’t just walk away. And really is this sooo bad that I should even consider it? I don’t know but here I am, crying.

There will be many nice people who will tell me that I need to go read the blog post and try to fix my stuff so that I can get in search again. And I should I really, really should. But I just can’t make myself do it.

I’ve been sitting here thinking about it and I realize that I will never be as important to Linden Lab as Dark Mouse & Second Life is to me. I think that it just hit me really, really hard. So I cried.

First off tho, these were released prior to today, but I haven’t had a chance to blog them yet… and I should, because they are AWESOME!!

Arbers created a new shirt, it’s called Oi and I love it!  As soon as I saw it on her I nearly ripped it off, and she made more

I think my fav is the middle, but the Union Jack coloured one holds a special place in my heart, obviously  They come on all the layers, and are slightly see through, which is ok cos the bra underneath comes with it too, so it’s your choice if you wanna show yer nips off or not.

They can be found at Fringe – which is also having a summer sale too, so not only is everything cheap already, some of it is even cheaper on sale

Next we have the Symphony Dress from Stellar.  This is Lexi’s offering for HDH this week and it’s so darn tootin’ cute!

It’s a mini dress, ruffled style!   It comes complete with cute rose brooch to be worn on the hip, as a sort of belt adornment type thinger and a colorable tattoo on the back,  which I assume is something to do with the name “Symphony” as it’s music notes   It’s super cheap today ONLY (69L!), so head on over there and check it out! – Stellar Main Store

Finally in a HDH related post, is some new tops from Moonshine!

This adorable set of four tops is only 69L for HDH and what a cutie set they are.  I ADORE the lemon/lime coloured one particularly!   They all come on different layers and with the matching bow attachment for the strap!   I don’t think you can deny these tops, especially not at the awesome price, go get em.. TODAY ONLY!

Second Style’s June issue takes you on a wild ride exploring the Urban Safari and heating things up for the summer.  We’ve come up with some clever ways to incorporate animal prints into your summer wardrobe, as well as your home.

As you can see on the cover James Schwarz has been prowling about in one of this month’s photo spreads – Hunted, on top of that he managed to give us a more basic look in his regularly featured Bleeding edge.  Heading in doors, Jenna Lorie shows you how a well decorated space can be accented with just the right touch of animal print.

Stacie Pryor’s Style Icon for our 36^th issue is Bronson Twine, and she has a nice long chat with him about his blog, and personal style.  Keeping with our theme, Elysium Eilde puts a twist on our summer swimwear recommendations with a wild weekend away at the shore.

I’ve given some great accessory suggestions to push that Safari look, and Gabby Panacek puts together a few fully accessorized city shots for the urban jungle explorers in To Top It off.  Meanwhile, Rylan Carling dresses you from head to toe in The Look, helping to prepre you for some *real* jungle exploring, complete with animal print scarf and purse!

Lastly I would like to welcome our new addition to the Second Style team – Alicia Chenaux, and she brings with her this month’s Mini-Guide, where she samples up a few great pairs of sunglasses for your outings.

READ ISSUE 36

Music is something that I couldn’t live without in my Life. It has been a part of me as long as I can think. To celebrate the music I hear I started dancing at very young age. Dancing makes you happy, it really does, next time you feel sad turn up your speakers loud and just shake what your momma gave you. It’s a little like a warm sunny day that embraces you. I appreciate every form and expression of dancing. This post is inspired by my 1st addiction in Life Music and dancing.

Since I am a little “drama- queen” I invite you to a dramatic tango. The “francis” dress by Kunglers Couture was just perfect for this Spanish Tango look I had in mind the fan was quickly found on X-street, I really have to say LL has improved the search sand shopping experience. So glad that this was also another opportunity to wear Alienbear’s “Mayur” jewelry set. It’s simply amazing work.
