Callie Cline released a cotton-candy sweet confection called the little glitter dress. Perfect name. It’s little, especially in length and it glitters with all the soft pastels of spring. I adore the dress and thought it was perfect for the softly romantic new Chloe skin from Exile.

The shoes are from Kookie – a fun pair of wedges that I have found irresistible lately.

I don’t know about you, but when my dress is that short, I have to wear tights. I chose one of my favorite pairs and now I have to apologize because they are no longer for sale. These are the G.L.A.M. Metallic Lycra Tintable Tights. They come in three shades of silvery gray that allow me to tint them to the color and shade I want. There are alternatives at many stores and you can search for tintable tights, but for me. I love these. Love, love, love them.  They are certainly my favorite freebie of all time.

I don’t know why Viva La Glam (the newest name of G.L.A.M.) closed its doors. Some stores close for personal reasons such as the heavy work load of school or the stress of illness. Some close because the sales don’t justify the hours of work. Some close in frustration with not making headway, or in exhaustion from the many demands for participation in fairs and expos. Some close because they can hardly create faster than the copybotters steal from them and get tired of working for the benefit of thieves.  Some quit because they get tired of unreasonable customer demands. Some just get tired of the game.. We cannot really know, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing we can do to help encourage our favorite retailers to stay. Here are just  a few ideas, and I bet you can think of more:

1. Be thankful for freebies and group gifts.
2. Read their profiles before making customer service complaints or asking for help.
3. Be polite when asking for help. It may be your one and only pressing issue, but retailers may have several issues to fix, investigate and work on. Give them time to investigate your complaints.
4. Don’t buy copied items, accept copied items as gifts or pass them on.
5. If you love a store, tell your friends. SL is a very competitive market and too many disappear before the rest of us even know they were there.
6. Tell people where you bought something when they admire it. They aren’t trying to look like you and if you keep your favorite stores a secret, they might not make enough money to stay open – then you lose.

I wore two necklaces with this dress for twice the glittery fun. The long necklace is from Swallowtail – the Bubble necklace and it’s a perfect fit for the dress. The shorter necklace is from lucas lameth’s store [luc] and I am wearing the matching earrings as well. It’s a love enamal pendant with flowers. The hair is from eha, the store I have been dragging my friends to for the last month because I love the hair and want them to stay in business and keep on making beautiful new hair for me.

The new skin release from Exile’s Kavar Cleanslate is an exquisitely soft and gentle skin for the romantic in you. With softly shaded highlights, it is very romantic and feminine. I love how well this Myst makeup goes with the outfit.

The giraffe leggings are from one of the latest releases of C.Smit and i grabbed an YS&YS bag (TDR item).

Before I go on, a warning – this is a picture heavy post.  If it gets cut off on the feeds, please see the rest at my home page.  Princess Ero comes in four colors – white, black, pink, and retro (shown above).  Each color comes with at least three skirts; the white comes with one extra for a total of four skirts.  With each you get a caged skirt (my fave), a short skirt (very wide), and a long skirt (gown).  Look at the other two skirt options for the Retro color.

Another amazing thing about Princess Ero is that Ms. Aichi has made a sculpted corset for each color.  Each outfit also comes with a bra on the shirt layer and a glitch corset on the undershirt layer.  (That’s so your skin won’t show through when you move.)  The corset is really not difficult to fit if you have a basic understanding of modding prims.  (Just edit, stretch (both sides) and drag the little white squares, stopping to adjust the position until you’re happy.  Make sure you’re on a posestand!)  Ikaru says that these corsets work best on smaller avatars (not 7 foot tall quad-D breasted ones).  I did notice some hiding of my arms by the invisiprims in the corset in some poses, but I choose to enjoy the overall beauty of the outfit instead of nitpicking.  Some of the colors come with garters and stockings, while others (as you will see below) come with bloomers, shorts, and stockings.  An incredible amount of work went into these outfits and I am so in love with them.  (Did you get that so far? lol)

Omg – the black and white!  This is my favorite.. I think… I don’t know; I love them all!  Here are the skirt options.

I’ll just shut up and show you the pink next.  This one comes with a heart-shaped eyepatch!!

How cute is that??  Oh, I almost forgot!  You also get matching little Japanese style lace-edged booties with each color.  Both the skirt top and the corset bottom have the white lace edging, making them very mix-and-matchable.  So, you can easily wear the corsets with other outfits.

Ok.. last one… the white.  Ready for this??  It’s also a bridal outfit!  That’s right, it comes with a fourth skirt… a longer caged skirt (called “wedding skirt”), plus a veil.

Sigh… so happy I am.  Beautiful these corsets are. mmmm hmmmm.  Sorry, channeled Yoda for a moment there.  Ewwww… I just pictured Yoda wearing one of these corsets….. Dont’ go there!  But do go to Violent Seduction and check out Princess Ero for yourself.  Hope you enjoyed.

This little cocktail dress is not Baiastice Neat, but a lovely little Baiastice Cocktail mixing one part Baiastice with one part Malt. The skirt is Baiastice’s lovely taffetta stripe skirt and the top is from Malt’s Florentia dress – and add-on frill that some perfectly complements the skirt that it looks like they were made to be together – a perfect martini of an outfit, stirred not shaken. I prefer gin and you stir gin martinis and shake vodka martinis, unless you’re just copying James Bond without knowing why he wants his shaken. Bond’s a vodka martini man, the poser!

The Electric Blue Saffron Pumps from Lelutka are a great option – tying it all back to the blue at the top after the purple and black stripes at the bottom of the skirt.

The Florentia frill is the perfect blue, but even more it has purple highlights that make it an uncanny match to the skirt. The DeLa necklace, earrings and bracelet were chosen to highlight the purple accent in the skirt stripe.

Hair from Exile and skin from Dutch Touch complete the look. I really like the modern style of the Fiona updo from Exile.

It is my opinion that the Cowboy Boots of Evil go with more things than I ever break them out for.  But when Baiastice celebrated it’s 3rd Anniversary and Sissy was gracious enough to offer awesome outfits at a discount to celebrate, I knew I needed boots with this one.

And what better boots than the most evil boots I own?

I had been looking for something to wear with my new hair from Fashionably Dead.  I like their hair. I can’t believe I never shopped there before, but thank PLURK I found another store that I have to like now.

So a belated Happy Birthday to Sissy and Baiastice – I already sent one up over on Freestyle but I’m all still stuck in the new baby fog and get more behind here on IOF than I should. Luckily Cajsa lets me live .

I’m also wearing one of the new skins from EXILE – I really like all of them that I’ve unpacked but keep forgetting to shoot any.  I have to remember to because they are all lovely. I wanted something VERY made up- and the OLD HOLLYWOOD was just the ticket. I used to have a boss that’d say “I just love your lipstick” when I wore this sort of color. I wonder what he was thinking of………..

Lelutka has several new releases that are quite exciting and fully in the Lelutka tradition of à la page fashion. My favorite of the new releases is the Blazin dress made of layers of ruffled folds. The fabric texture is amazingly detailed and so real you want to touch it. I chose the peach version of the dress because it’s one of my favorite colors – a color that just always looks good. However, there are many colors, some soft like the peach and other electric colors like yellow and purple. I can imagine purchasing this dress in several colors and even mixing and matching, perhaps wearing the top tier in another color. [Update: You can see how well that can be done by taking a peek at Nina Fessbinder's combination of Blazin in yellow and purple.]

I kept the Viniani sandals from Armidi on that I wore in yesterday’s outfit – mainly because they have that lovely spring feeling that the dress demands, but also so you can get a nice look at them.

My jewelry is the lovely Stacie’s Set by Dark Mouse. Mouse made this for Stacie Pryor and if you read her blog, you can see how perfect it is. So many of her pictures are shot in fields of flowers or by a garden that I cannot imagine a more representative symbol for Stacie than a flower.

The hair is Exile’s Meko – a fun and fashion forward short style that shows of the lovely jewelry beautifully. The skin is the upcoming Candy release from PXL Creations in Light Tan – slightly darker than I usually wear, but I liked it with the peach color of the dress.

Keishii Roo came out with this smexy, hot little number a few days ago and I’ve seen it blogged a few times already.  Justly so.  It is really hot.

The outfit combines leather and sheer fabrics.  If you don’t want to hint at skin, you can wear all the layers to get a more opaque look.  The dress comes with an open bra (just straps really), a closed bra, a high waisted skirt, and a tanga (a/k/a  thong).  The unisex hair (really a men’s style) is free at Uw.st (a/k/a Uncle Web).  The necklace, earrings, and bracelets are all new releases from Dark Mouse – from the Daisy Diamonds and Wood Bracelets sets respectively.  I love Dark Mouse and I’ve been a fan for a long time.  Mouse makes really lovely jewelry and doesn’t charge jewelry store prices.  Check out these boots I won on the Midnight Mania board at Magnifico.  Nice, huh?  The metal parts are color change via HUD.  You need these boots.

Sheena Benelli of Weird Designs has also come back from hiatus and is off to a great re-start with this sexy little Memorie dress.  I am in love with the leather fringes all around.

Memorie comes in black (shown above) and purple (shown below), as well as grey and red.  The choker/collar is included, along with the arm/hand warmers.  The latter has a bit of lace sticking out by your hands, which is a nice touch, I think.  The skirt is a messy little scrap of a skirt that’s a bit grunge-inspired with its’ rips and holes.  The hair is the new style from Exile and is just made of win – messy, sexy, cascading hair.  Mmmmmmmm.

To be honest, I *love* this dress so much that every time I try on other outfits,  I find myself throwing this one back on for everyday wear.  Note to self – go get the other two colors.

 The very first time I saw this skirt, I fell in love.  Yes, I believe in love at first sight, only when it comes to clothes, though!  =P   It comes in a pack of many rich colors from Sn@tch and it’s gorgeous.  As soon as I put it on, I knew Zaara’sjacket would be perfect for this!  The gold embellishments are beautiful.  I chose Truth’s halter top in green to compliment the gold and contrast against the warm browns.   There’s no better setting, when it comes to golden warmth than Tempura.  If you’ve never explored there, I suggest you take a little time and go fill your life with a beauty.

 I wanted to take the opportunity to show off the back of the skirt as well.  You can’t really see these Bax boots, but OMG, they are beyond gorgeous and, again, the golden tones are to die for!  The hair is a very pretty release from Exileand frames the face in such a way that it shows off the gorgeous features of the facial structure.  Of course, the skin is Belleza, need I say more?

The jewelry is a recent release from Dark Mouse – there’s another creator who has stretched herself creatively just recently.  Yesterday, Mouse released her first clothing.  Yay for brave artists!  The boots are my latest drool-worthy acquisition – G Field’s Short Western Boots.  Gorgeous!

But you have to check this out – Amacci released some gorgeous eyes with an attachment that makes them very subtly bling (hush!  it’s not “bling” bling) so that your eyes have that natural little glint of light.  It is so cool!  I tried to capture it on “film,” but this is the best I could do – it’s a dynamic effect which is hard to capture in still photography.  So, please go try it out for yourself!

Cuando en rl pienso en un color para vestir, creo que el último que elegiría sería el color verde. No sé porque es esto, pero es un color que no pienso en él como un color atractivo para vestirlo. Sin embargo cuando cayó este vestido en mis manos, teniendo otros colores para poder elegir, fué este por el que me decidió desde el principio…

Y viendo el resultado en el conjunto estoy satisfecha de haberlo hecho así. Un vestido sexy, muy sexy.  Puesto que si es picante por delante, lo es muchisimo más por detrás. Pero que en conjunto lejos de ser “malsonante” tiene hasta un punto elegante.

Así que es una buena propuesta, pienso yo, de la ya conocida firma sotd. Firma hispana que está haciéndose un hueco poco a poco en nuestro sl anglosajón. Espero que os haya gustado. Un beso!

Isis is the newest Dutch Touch face. What can i say about Iki’s work? Outstanding? I’d say so!
Dutch Touch is being featured here (and in Timeless blog) for long time and also for long time i’ve been noticing her improvements and hard work. Her skins are not photo sourced, they are all hand drawing and even being hand draw you can notice it has pores! I love how Iki uses shadows and lights, every little part of her body is well ended, there is no glitches on it. And one thing i am often saying is: I LOVE HER EYEBROWS! none can draw eyebrows like Iki does! they doesn’t seems glued, they actually looks like hair coming from inside of the skin! My thumbs up for her! ♥

Phoenix Rising’s gorgeous Chanel inspired gown in white was my inspiration to finally go up and shoot in our cloud studio. 

The gown is such an inspired work of art – there is nothing practical about it, thus I LOVE IT, that I had to pose with some of my favorite SL sculpture – by artist Elros Tuominen.  I own quite a few pieces thanks to Cajsa and she probably owns them all – and has some particularly beautiful pieces out at the cloud studio. 

I have no skills or I would’ve made you a machinima to show you this sculpture moving – it’s amazing.

Phoenix Rising has been celebrating their customers who belong to ye old Subscribo and is offering gifts which may still be there – I’m not sure of the end date of the big celebration. I’m going to chalk this up to my post-partum brain cloud.

Yes, I have a brain cloud.

Shiki Designs released ten fun summer dresses. Gidge and I showed you two in the post highlighting our new shoes from A-Bomb. Here are six more, showing all the lovely floral prints and three of the five colors of the lace dresses – all but gren and blue. With them I wore the lovely new Victorian Ankle Boots from Juicy in appropriately juicy fruit colors.

I told a friend the other night that I’ve been shooting like crazy lately, and not posting. I’m not sure why. I’m sort of randomly wandering and shooting and styling outfits and then I have very little to SAY so I’m struggling to blog.

I think I’ve got post-partum brain cramp.

I shot these in a prop set that Cajsa picked up at the pose fair and  these images rather reflect my mood……plus, I love the dark color contrasts against this beautiful Wichita Skin from Sindecade. Sindecade does a fantastic job of bringing outrageous color to this skin without taking it over the top. I’m in love with these.

This month MEB Fashion releases a gorgeous outfit that put together the most classical clothes and a very provocative look. Lorraine is made by a classical men-tailored brown shirt open on the breast and a ultra-miniskirt in a scottish-like squared cotton decorated by a nice leather belt with a spiral and flowered buckle.
Lorraine plays with this contrasting elements, showing legs and breast but covering the rest; serious colors and cheerful cut for a classy but even naughty outfit for the spring days.

Lorraine, whose price is set to 390 ld, is sold all May along at the 30% reduced price of 270 ld.

Ghani’s textures are *amazing* – truly unique works of art – all hand-drawn and painted.  Click for a larger view.  Her textures are often quite subtle and reward those who look a little closer.

Calendula also comes in darkgoth purple, ocre, black, and red.  The darkgoth black is a group only color.

Calendula also comes in five gorgeous whitegoth colors, and I had planned to post them here along with the darkgoth dresses.  However, they are really two very different dresses and I think they’ll look better as a separate post.  So, stay tuned for some absolutely gorgeous whitegoth dresses – the best Ghani has ever done, I think.

So you may not know this, but I never delete anything. If you’ve sent it to me, I’ve got it (unless you sent it via subscribo or deliverator and I was capped).

Ok that is a partial lie, I did delete my Okina prim vajayjay that a mommyblogger friend bought me on like day two on The Grid. It was hideous, freaky, and despite being good for gags like making it pee in the middle of rooms suddenly, I really didn’t need it. (ok sometimes that might be fun to have back – /me considers all the places I could suddenly pee on the floor).  I also on occasion delete things which are too hideous to contemplate further,but this is rare.

But I digress………..

This is valid information because it’s how I arived at today’s outfit. Digging through my inventory going “Hmmm, what haven’t I worn?” I found a box from DREAMS – from my friend Sanura Snowpaw. I pulled it out and tried on everything and ended up leaving on the corset top and the collar……I was gonna be  a neko girl for fun but then I found this cart item at the photo studio and it didn’t work. Mebbe next time!

Right about the time I was mucking about with this outfit Sindecade dropped some skins on the IheartSL bloggers group and I had a total squee moment. I actually only owned one of their skins but it’s one I LOVE – a special edition they did for Juicy a year or two ago.

So it took me a matter of seconds to start checking out their Wichita skins – and new eyes – to find exactly what I was looking for.

Now, somebody pour me a drink. And please point out to Winter Jefferson that my lashes FIT NOW SHUT UP U!
