Redgrave is releasing their new skin Zuri tomorrow, June 1st. I thought I would give you all a sneak peek at the lovely new skin. This tone is the Cacao, but there will also be a lighter tan tone released, and Emilia says a paler one possibly on the horizon.
I think it is a really lovely ethnic skin, and I especially like the nose freckles, and plumper lips. There will be 15 different makeup options, I am wearing the deepred for this blog. Of course since there are so many makeups there is a really wide variety between more drastic eye shadows and lip tones, such a fuchsia lips with dark eye liner, and a more neutral lip with a nice green shadow. Good luck choosing just one! =P

Anyone who has read this blog for any amount of time knows that I am FROM Indianapolis and that as far as I’m concerned the only reason the month of May exists is so that cars can scream around the Speedway for my pleasure.
I dug into my closet and came out with this excellent Seaside Sweetie set from 5th and Oxford to wear today to celebrate my favorite racing event. You gotta wear black and white, there are rules – especially if you are going to any sort of GOOD party. Plus, you may not know this, but the good people of Indianapolis cannot SEE the race, which starts in 31 minutes AS I type this.

The dry season has begun. After 24 straight days of rain, this week has been an explosion of warm and sunny days that lift the spirits. On the way to work, an embankment along the road was a riot of roses – fifty or more bushes blazing with blooms in red and white. Our rainy season seems to be ending a month early, but I won’t complain. It’s been a long, cold and wet winter. Just in time for the sun, this lovely dress from EMO-tions fell to earth. Well not really but with a name like Cell Block Blazer it sort of makes sense. Kendall Freenote, designer of Wasted Youth, has been churning out some super cute new additions to her already super cute inventory. I love this blazer. I found so many ways to wear it…but this was my favorite. A totally black and white look with only the ribbon on the hat from Epoque adding a note of red. The leggings/pants are from Emery and I love the detail of the belt drawn on….beautiful!! I added the new lariat pearl rope and pearl necklaces in black from Aya Huldschinsky (Atleir AM) and a zebra skin purse from Paper Couture. This absolutely fantastic coat is a slight departure from Sascha Frangilli’s of Sascha’s Designs usual fare, but I can certainly say I’m not disappointed! This Romana coat is intricately textured and truly attention-getting. That just happens to be the song playing on my Itunes as I post this and it also happens to be one of my favorite songs. Although it’s a Van Morrison song, I am listening to my favorite cover of it by Cassandra Wilson and it’s just a meltingly beautiful song. It’s such a romantic song. Shiki Designs released ten fun summer dresses. Gidge and I showed you two in the post highlighting our new shoes from A-Bomb. Most of us know the story of Rumpelstiltskin. You know…the story of the miller’s daughter who, under the threat of death, was locked in a tower for 3 days by the king because he was told she could spin straw into gold (she couldn’t). The dwarf Rumelstiltskin who could but drove a hard bargain (her first born child). The dwarf spun lots of gold and made the king and the miller’s daughter both very happy. But… let’s just say when the time came she didn’t want to honor her bargain and (thinking she never could) the dwarf agreed he would let her off the hook if she could guess his name (she did.) Lucky for us…several sl designers seem to be spinning straw into gold and we only have to give up a few lindens (we can keep our first-born and no guessing games involved.)
