During one of my many attempts to downscale my inventory, I came across this dress again. It has been in there since… well.. I think since September 16, 2006, which is the day after I originally rezzed, and it was kinda old back then already. It has survived every inventory cleaning so far though and I think that it still looks pretty amazing after all this time, right?

Chip Midnight was one of the first designers around, and probably, the first ever to make photoreal skins commercially available to SL residents (many still use his templates for skins). I don’t know if he ever logs in these days, my guess is, he doesn’t because his profile still links back to onrez,  but his shop is around still (charter members got a plot of free land for life) . It is like a step back in time, vendors with models in system hair (he actually still sells some textured system hair models!), skins which now look bad, but at some time were top of the bill (do consider the fantasy skins though, they are still wonderful, though to today’s standard, expensive), some clothing that just makes me smile when I look at it because… well, because it’s just so very 2005…. But among all the fossils of SL, there are also a few gems like this dress. If you like SLvintage, Chip’s shop is definitely worth the TP.

When Jori dropped her Kalnera set made especially for the ongoing Mental Health Awareness Fair I was already wearing 5th & Oxford’s Seaside Sweetie shorts and halter. When I saw the beautiful blues in Kalnera I changed into the striped halter in pink and the shorts in turquoise. Tiny Bird’s Postcards from Italy showed off the earrings nicely and the Boardwalkers from Sand Shack in Pelican Blue finished the look.

Roslin Petion’s “Seaside Sweetie” collection for 5th & Oxford comes in shorts and a lovely system skirt as well as two styles of halters. I’ve chosen to wear the Shorts in Black and the Halter in Red & White Stripes. I might have chosen the dark blue shorts, but I wanted to show off my new (no) Mercy heels from Orange Creations in Red. (They all have black woven straps).

The textures on the Seaside items are nicely detailed. I particularly like the white trim on the V-neck front for the halter and the worn look for the shorts. I’m not sure have the shoes matched right yet to my Claire skin from La Sylphide, but it shouldn’t be hard to refine it for my usual PXL Creations skins. It took me a while to buy the shoes as I just think Maitreya has it right, but with their lower prices Orange Creation has shown (some) Mercy:)

Before I take off for a bit, I wanted to show off LeLutka’s new Marta dress and Orange Creation’snewest Mercy shoes!  HOLY HOT!  This shot doesn’t do them justice, but they are GORGEOUS (more shots attached!)   The dress is stunning, and paired with a hat that is one of their older releases, it’s a perfect match for a bon voyage!  

 The detailing on these heels is very well done, and I can’t imagine my inventory without them.  I’m so glad I got a chance to review them before I left on my vaca.  I will be gone for the majority of June, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t planned some great looks.  Stay tuned!

I was checking out Lelutka’s new collection today, and therefore this style du jour is mainly about them. I’m wearing the lovely Ornella pants in “perky” with the Nouvelle Top in electric blueberry. Also from Lelutka are my saffron pumps in neutral navy and my skin Lola (light make up 5 and lipstick orange -only for SL2.0-)

The other items I’m wearing are Lamb’s new hair Lost (butterfinger) and Desire, the cropped,all prim sweater from Sweetest Goodbye in khaki as well as alaMood’s Siddean cuff turquoise (shape Lola by /GEEZ/).

Well, maybe I should have given this entry the title Look of Tomorrow, since this gorgeous maxi dress will be a 50 L$ Friday item from Casa del Shai and also the skin, Dael, from Exodi (Nuit, 7 dk) is not yet released (ETA June 1), but yeah, it’s a preview and I am wearing it, so it’s my LOTD. Scheduled for release later today are the every day bangles and earrings from alaMood (scripted for metal change).

Today’s look is a quicky, thrown together after a quick visit to Emery last night before I went to bed. I have a love/hate affair with Emery. Usually stuff is too much just slapped photos on a template, the kind of sourcing I don’ t care for -at all- but every time i visit their shop is see one or 2 things that I just want to have. Like this ripped shirt and the flower leggings.. I’m wearing it here with 5th & Oxford’s Rebel Rebel jeans skirt and J’s black boots. The Soho necklace is from alaMood, and the cord bracelet is from Illusions.

I bought the Red Python shoes at the last Moody sale after craving them for ever so long. OK they are not the best shoes on the grid, so I’m a shoe slut. Cope!

I discovered [and fell in love with] Tomoto at the RFL Clothing Fair and bought this new dress called “summer” I think at the Fantasy Faire. It comes with two skirts, but I like the one with the yellow underskirt showing. Hair is Amrita. I couldn’t find them recently so I guess they’ve poofed Earrings are the Suri from GANKED. Skin is an unreleased one from PXL Creations.

This is a mash-up with my new favorite trousers from Narwhal. The primmy bits are superb. I wish they made these in other colors. Top is an old one from ...

Well, according to SL it’s still the 20th, so here is today’s look . For the first time in a while I ended up at Sugarcube, and picked up this colorful lightly flared skirt. It’s such a fun and flirty number. Somewhat transparent, but you won’t end up in your glitchpants because of multi layering. Less covering is the top of Lelutka’s Ontible dress which I’m wearing, so Blowpop’s white Yvette bra becomes a real part of the outfit. Maitreya’s white ChiChi pumps are the ideal shoes to match with this look.

I find myself being increasingly careful with accesoires. One well chosen piece is often more powerful than wearing a full set. In this case I have chosen the cuff of alaMood’s platinum Celestial set. The red Paula glasses from Artilleri are my all time ...

I am excited about this post, for a few reasons actually.

Firstly, a very good friend is opening her Lingerie/Sleepwear/Swimwear shop this weekend, and I am super proud of her and happy to share some of the pretties she has created.  The name of the new shop is ] eVe [, right now it is a cute little boutique with a great selection of bra & pantie sets, hopefully as she becomes more successful she will be encouraged to expand even more.  But there is a really lovely selection of pieces.  There is even a great swimsuit she made, named "Fel"  =)  Which was an awesome surprise, and made my night!  The prices are all fantastic as well, so I really suggest getting over to eve and picking up a couple dozen sets!  TP to ] eVe [

Ema’s Secret offers some brand new summer items and i chose two gorgeous dresses. The first one was the Spanish dress in cream and i fell in love with this fab skirt and the frilling immediately.
My other choise was the snowwhite Belz dress with the great shoulder part and sleeve.

I am a firm believer in indie rock. Truly. Madly. Deeply. HOWEVER… the Single Ladies track from Beyonce really does tickle me.

The video is mesmerizes because it is so vintage in its straight up delivery of dance. Her dance moves are fucking ACE. So I can totally see why Chance Greatrex was inspired to do a series of SINGLE LADIES poses for his shop DARE. He gave me an advanced copy of them last night, and I was all over them like a hooker on a Friday night.

The poses are expected to be released this week, so make sure you Join His Group or watch the Feed closely. Usually, DARE poses cost around 50 linden each or 400 linden for a full pack. He’s created over FIFTY new poses inspired by this track, so plenty to chose from!

Os presento una de las últimas novedades de la firma Hyper Culture, vestido de fiesta pero no por ello recargado o sobrio, sino alegre y luminoso con unas texturas aparte de bonitas con unos colores que me encantan. Y no se podía además llamar de otra forma el vestido, Primavera, le vá genial el nombre jajajaj…

La verdad que en cuanto lo ví me impresionó el bonito dibujo y sobre todo el colorido del vestido. Sin duda alguna un éxito en cualquier fiesta de esta temporada. Además creo que muy utilizable tanto para un evento como para una tarde de paseo un poco arreglado. El vestido es llevable en muchas ocasiones no como otros, los que yo denomino inllevables porque… si me pongo yo a pensar… eventos de alta sociedad no tengo muchos

~I got this cute pale skin from YourSkin&YourShape for only 70L and lashes from [glow] for 40L.  I am gonna be honest and say the lashes were a b*tchkitty to fit, but it could just be that I suck at lash fitting. 
~The chambray top is the April Freebie from sf designs and is really well made.  
~The Heart & Sole shoes and the alaMood jewelry are both from the Diamonds in the Rough hunt.  The shoes are really nicely textured and fairly easy to skin match, although it was hard to get them very pale to go with this skin.  The jewelry set includes necklace, earrings, bracelet and a ring!

Ameshin Yossarian released these cute Spring dresses last week called Hesa.  My favorite is the pink one, of course.  Take a look.

The hair is also from Curious Kitties –  Kera V2.  The individual hairs are very inexpensive, about L$100.  If you like the color it comes in – fantastic, you’re set.  If you want to change the color in many different ways, there are HUDs you can purchase that work on any of the Nyanotech hairs.  The HUDs are variously priced – from L$100 for one color palette up to L$700 for the entire color spectrum.  So, you’re basically getting a fatpack for about L$800.  Also, there are many, many free Nyanotech hairs available at Curious Kitties.  Just tp over and take a look.

I will admit that the whole hunt scene doesn’t appeal to me so much anymore-just wayy too many going on at every moment I would rather stay locked up in my studio not dealing with lag etc. I took SD wears Easter hunt dresses and just used the tops, I thought they went well with Crazy’s new Warm sweaters that are adorable. Fab-u-lous has a few new hat releases that I thought were really cute, hat comes with a few color options and the hairs come in darker tones only. Also how about Elena? I thought I’d bring you a cute springtime look today.  I wanted something bright and cheerful, and I knew a big color splash was in order.  Besides, I never bought into the whole “no white shoes before Easter” crap.  Stupid fashion faux pas are meant to be broken.  Or perhaps they just don’t apply at all in SL.

To start off my color splash for today, I decided to wear this bright orange pleated skirt from -LMK-.  I really love the high-waisted fit, the nice texturing, and yummy color selection of this skirt.  I paired it with this super cute Grazia top from Whippet & Buck, which I have had hiding in my inventory for quite a while now.  I adore this blouse, which is beautifully textured and adds a nice pattern to the look.  Then I added this awesome new no collar leather jacket from AOHARU, which is absolutely amazing.  ...

This outfit started with alaMood’s RFL limited edition of Nightlife in Amethyst, which I had worn to Jori and Trouble’s “non-wedding” celebration. I needed to change out of the floof I was wearing so headed for the staple suit in my wardrobe, the Stella from MichaMi in Beige. It has some of the best primmy bits I’ve seen and it’s currently on sale at 50% off at the MichaMi Mainstore. So what are you waiting for?

Then the question was how to tie the beautiful jewels with the neutral Stella. After some rummaging the Maisie top in Fuschia on the shirt layer filled the bill nicely. Then what shoes? Hello there,

Here are two, brand new gowns by Hyper Culture – Cleo (in 9 juicy shades) and Primavera with two skirt options. Both of them recall the spring and very feminine ones.
In the pics are Cleo in persian rose and in black of course and Primavera with simple skirt.
The jewellery is from alaMood, one of my fav sets; Athshe in frosted ice and the hair is from Exile Angelica remixed in champagne color.
