More Hair Fair Favorites!

I don’t have much time to blog let along be in second life since I’m working 12-16 hour days in my real life. I did manage another trip to the Hair Fair yesterday. Here’s a look at a few of my purchases. I’m a bg fan of this curly bob called Mojito in red2 from Miel. This hair reminds me of Shirley Temple and would look good on a kid avatar. You get 5 shades of red in the pack.

Alex in coffee brown is from Oh Hair. This is a very lovely updo that looks fabulous with a hairbase skin.

Cara in Ginger Red is from Sparkle Skye Design. I like the tiny white flowers sprinkled throughout the hair. The hair pack comes with 3 shades and is perfect wedding hair.

I saw the the Goodie Bag Eliza hair on the feeds from Rezlpsa Loc and I had to have it. I liked the freebie so much I bought the Eliza Morning Pack which includes 4 shades of red. I really like this orangy color called 8AM. Dont miss the Goodie Bag!

Truth Hair – Project UNICEF & Newness!

Project Donate was founded by Truth Hawks in the hopes of gathering the Second Life community to help make a difference in the lives of people in need. All proceeds from the event are being donated to UNICEF.

All the NEW styles available at Truth this week are truly amazing. First up is Miranda streaked in carrot & walnut. This is a very sexy look. The hair is pulled up into a mass of curls with the long wavy ends draping down the back and over the shoulder.

Orchid in sand & toffee comes with 2 wigs, one plain the other with an orchid. The orchid, by the way, doesn’t color change. This is a sleek and sexy updo that will look perfect with your formal attire.

Cindy streaked in almond & sahara is a pretty style pulled up on the sides into a thick partial ponytail with the rest of the straight hair flowing down the back and over the shoulder.

Janelle in chestnut & dawn is another very sexy style. This is another hair design with split attachment points so the hair doesn’t sink into your chest.

Jersey streaked in fudge & strawberry has a tiara with gems that are scripted for color and on/off. I like the way this hair falls over both shoulders.

Last but not least is Raquel in honey & java. This hair is a sassy curly bob, that has lots of movement on the ends. All demos at Truth are free. Single color packs are 250L and fatpacks cost 1500L.

PXL Creations Dafne Skin

This is the NEW face from [PXL] Creations called Dafne in light tan.

To me, the most prominent feature of this face are the eyebrows. They’re drawn exceptionally well and look realistic. What’s really cool, is you get 3 colors: light, medium and dark eyebrows in every single makeup. I like having this choice, since some days I’m a blonde and other days I’m a brunette. I didn’t photograph the freckles but they’re included on the V2 tatoo layer along with an enhanced cleavage. You also get a cleavage on the undershirt layer. The 3 eyeshadows are nude, glam and extreme. The 7 lipsticks are nude, pale, bronze, pink, wine, rose and passion. In total, there’s 27 makeups for each skin tone. Below is a sample of the makeups available in light tan.

Dafne has a luscious body, with sexy breasts, well-defined abs and a provocative derriere. What can I say, this skin is perfect. Bravo Hart Larsson for a job well done!

I’m having a bad hair today, since it’s opening day at the Hair Fair and I can’t get in. Yesterday, I was able to visit the Hair Fair briefly before rl work for Blogger’s Day and picked up a gift bag from Fri.day with some very cute clothes and hair inside. YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED THIS GIFTBAG! Inside you’ll find a very cute Henley Hoodie in seafoam, a basic White Cami, and light wash Iunno Jeans. I think I look adorable…

There’s 3 wigs in the gift bag… first up is Carrie in moody brown. This is a such a cute ponytail.

I really like this updo called Dylan in jaded blonde. I tp’d to the shop, since I couldn’t get in Hair Fair and picked up this style in brown & red because I liked it so much.

The final gift in the bag is another updo called Tatum in passionate red. I picked up some other cute things at Fri.day that I’ll show another time. I practically had the store to myself since everyone’s at the Hair Fair

I’m wearing the Louisa Jacket and Leather Skirt, both are NEW creations from Mimikri and so lovely. The jacket comes with buttons and buckles in either gold or silver. There’s a ton of detail on the leather skirts. I like the leather glossy finish on the texture and the crinolin underskirts.

2010 Hair Fair Blogger’s Day!

The 2010 Hair Fair is open to the Blogger’s Group today for the next 15 hours or so… I was so excited, I gave up sleep so I could check out the fair grounds and buy some hair. This year I predict the fair will be even more successful than past years, since the fair layout is so conducive to shopping. The the tents are well-lit and the vendors are set out waiting for you to arrive! There’s so many hair designers involved this year, some I’ve never heard of before. I’m enjoying the demos that are being sent to the Demo Group. They keep dropping into my inventory today, it’s like presents at xmas! I’m excited to try each on.

The last dress I want to spotlight is called Desire. This is a sexy slip dress that has a slightly flaring sculpty skirt and a halter top fastened at the right shoulder with a brilliant gold choker. NEW Tess2 from LAQ!

I’m wearing the new skin release from Laqroki called Tess2.

There are 10 makeups for Tess2 that are exactly what we’ve all come to expect from LAQ. This face is fresh and clean, with a dark brownish/red brow and perfectly proportioned lips. The 10 lipsticks are done well with a nice variety of color.

The Tess2 body is shaded and highlighted to perfection. This skin is definitely worth the 1990L cost. Bravo Mallory Cowen for making LAQ one of the most respected brands on the grid.

TIK TOK Tatoo Layer Eyeshadows & Skin Burner

TIK TOK has some very cute makeups in the shop and a skin burner or tanner. Both are on the 2.0 tatoo layer. I only photographed a small number of them, there’s 22 unique eyeshadows in the fatpack for 350L. They enhance the eyes on whatever skin you’re wearing.

Chantkare sent out the Floral Ballet shoes in brown this morning. This is Applonia Criss’ first shoe. I think she did a wonderful job too! Thank you Applonia for the gift!

The Tara and Nora shirts are NEW from KHUSH and very cute. The strapless tops are two tone with a solid black in the front front and several different prints in the back. They look fabulous with shorts, capris or jeans. The shirts are priced at 150L each and include all layers. The Groovy Peace Necklace & Earrings in earthy tones are NEW pieces sold separately from EarthStones. The necklace at 499L and the earrings at 299L are a bit pricey but both are quality construction and look so good on.

Bianca is the newest face from CandyDoll and she’s a heartbreaker!

Bianca is available in 4 skin tones: pale, tan, tanned and dark, with 6 makeups each. I like that you get lots of options: cleavage, non-cleavaged, bald and hairbase. Bianca has a sexy pout with the most luscious, plump lips that have become a trademark of a CandyDoll skin. This stunning face has rosy, well defined cheekbones and a dark brown eyebrow. There’s a wonderful assortment of makeups, but I have to say, I particularly favor the ‘nude eyes’ look with the cherry red lips.

The Bianca body is illustrated well with lovely shading at the clavical, cleavage and abs. Rebeca Dembo is developing some mad skills as a skinmaker, bravo on this dazzling new face! A single skin pack is reasonably priced at 700L. A fatpack of all 6 makeups is the best bargain at 2,500L.

Hair Fair 2010 Group Information

A quick note about the upcoming Hair Fair. It’s only a week away, starting on September 4th. Since it’s expected to be laggy, organizers have set up a Hair Fair Demo group. The participating designers will send the demos of their styles, so you can try them on wherever and whenever you want. When you visit the fair, you can go straight to the hair you want to buy. There will be gifts in the group and I know you don’t want to miss those! Keep in mind this is a charity event benefiting Wigs for Kids. This is an organization helping children who lost their hair lead a normal life. More details are available on the Hair Fair Blog.

Fierce Designs is a new brand in sl for me and I really liked everything I saw. The Biker Babe Outfit can be found at the back of the main shop. This outfit is very sexy! I particularly like the knit tights, which are on the underpants layer and can be removed. The jacket is constructed nicely, there’s lots of detail on the front and back. The outfit includes the sculpted collar and cuffs. The winged 69 necklace matches the detail on the sculpted Biker Babe Boots. The complete ensemble looks “Fierce”!

Something For The Weekend is another Fierce outfit that includes a sexy body stocking, with a just barely there flexi skirt and chunky black pearls. The detail on the body stocking is really nice with the fishnet cutout. I love both of these looks!

Candy is a yummy treat, she has the face of a sugar baby and the body of a sweet tart.

This face is the most recent release from [PXL] Creations, and I have to admit, this skin blew me away. Candy comes in 3 fatpacks or standard eye makeups: (NE) Nude Eyes, (CE) Cat Eyes and (SE) Smoke Eyes. Each fatpack has 7 lip colors: nude, pale, bronze, cyclamen, wine, red (my favorite!) and passion. There’s also a fatpack special set with 6 makeups: Drama, Electric, Lime, Orange, Sea and Wine. A single makeup includes a light (LEB), medium (MEB) or dark (DEB) brow and a freckled skin. The eyebrow is drawn really well with individual hairs highlighted. This face has a pert little nose with clever shading that gives her high cheekbones and pouty kissable lips. I’m truly impressed with the makeup combinations from a fresh-faced barely there makeup to evening couture and dramatic looks. Below is a small sample of the various makeups available, photographed in light tan.

This skin has a very realistic appearance with slight blemishing on her chest, stomach and back. The muscles and bones are highlighted expertly, she has a curvy buttocks and sexy breasts. Candy comes in 5 skin tones: pale, natural, sunkissed, light tan and tan. Besides the freckle and eyebrow options, every makeup also includes a push up cleavage on the undershirt layer and the tatoo 2.0 layer. This skin is a bit pricey at 1000L for a single makeup, 5000L for a fatpack of 7 makeups and the special set with 6 makeups for 4000L. I never showed the NEW Truth styles released last week, they’re absolutely fabulous. Keeley in Champagne and Cranberry comes scripted for streaking. This is a cute cut held back with a pin.

Another new style is Marissa in Tahiti & Pumpkin. This is a long cut with lots of movement on the curly ends.

The final hair from last week is called Vera streaked in copper and dawn. All the hair is simply amazing, you need to try on some demos!

ChiChickie has 3 new hairstyles in the shop. What’s really interesting is there are 30 fatpacks of the new releases for the girls on sale for 95L… OMG… I tp’d to the shop and there are still some available but you’d better hurry! Anyway the new hair this week is really nice. First up is Ginger in honey. This a long straight style that comes with a HUD to texture change the pretty flower worn on the left side of the hair to numerous colors. This flower can be worn with other hair too! The group gift this month is this style in chestnut.

The next new style is called Rachel in mocha. This is another long hairstyle that flows over both shoulders and ends at the waist in the back. The group gift this month is this style in red.

The final new style is for the guys called Scott in chocolate. This hair actually looks pretty good on the ladies too! The group gift this month is this style in mahogany. All the hair shown is available in 28 colors. A single color pack with 4 shades is 200L. A fatpack of all colors is 795L.

The Slade Jeans is a NEW complete outfit at Aqua. This is a quality ensemble of unreleased separates that includes 3 silver bikinis, dark blue jeans in all layers with 3 cuff choices, and a very cute hippy chic belt.

The bikinis come in all layers and 3 textures: solid, polka dots and stripes. The silver cover up skirt is not included but looked so good I had to show it. This 27 piece ensemble is reasonably priced at 250L for everything!

The Daring Deidra dress in silver caught my eye while browsing the shop. This is a sexy little number with a halter top and flexi mini skirt perfect for dancing the night away. I saw so many cute things at Aqua, very reasonably priced too, I know I will return.
