Hi All, I’ve been going back and forth about putting up an official note, but it’s time. As some of you know, I took a new job this summer in RL and I’ve been working more than full time. So when I get home each night, I’m too tired to get online lately. Today is my official 1 year anniversary of Suri Alex Style. I can hardly believe that its already been a year since I started writing on Second Life Fashion; and what a year its been. Anya Ohmai, one of my friends initially encouraged me to write a blog, and for that I am truly grateful. Since my first post that garnered a whopping 21 views to my now expansive several thousand audience, I feel entirely too lucky. I was even contracted to write a chapter in a real life book called: Challenging the Virtual: Women’s Cultural Experiences in Second Life. The book should be in bookstores at the end of this year too early next year.

Dutch Touch has put out several skins for VIPs who are in the Dutch Touch Group. The first skin “red liner” in Isis is available to group members free when wearing their group tags.
There is also a Natural Make-up available in the tone of your choice for $500L. I’m a sucker for natural so I loved this one too!

This weekend LG concept designers released a new skin “Pd’A-Ayil. It’s the store’s first skin and comes in a virtually endless array of make-up styles and looks to be fit the most picky of avatars. Being that this is LG’s first release I have a few things that I like and couple I thought the skins could improve on.
What I thought could be improved was first the light eyebrows. I loved the graceful arch of the dark set, but the blonde set seemed to cut off part way through. The middle picture I took compares both sets of eyebrows. I like sometimes changing things up wearing blonde hair, but I felt like with this skin in the light eyebrows that it was far too sparse. I would have loved to see the carry through of the dark eyebrow into the blonde.

Usually on a post with this many outfits I would combine, but I felt like doing that would be doing these beautiful pieces injustice, therefore, you get the big pictures (oh and if I missed some green during editing…I fail…I’m doing this during class… (!)) In any case, this by far is Glam Affair’s best collection yet. My favorite color is black, and this collection exceeded my expectations when it came to my favorite dark palette. The 7-piece collection Element, is the newest collection to take the grid by storm. My favorite…is…I can’t choose! The pieces are versatitle and I have found myself mixing and matching ever since I took these pictures! I would highly suggest them as part of your wardrobe, to compliment the tireless work of these fabulous designers

[KA] Designs has released a gorgeous new Maxi Dress that is perfect for spring/summer. I really loved the paisley print with the light accent of the turquoise, it really made the dress fun. A big thanks to my friend Crystalin Clayton for teleporting me to this lucky chair for this fantastic skin! This is the new lucky chair skin from *Leafy* and its in a make-up color called “fire engine” The skin comes with both light and dark brows. Boudoir and Ganked both have out new releases that are quite beautiful and befitting almost any fun dress up occasion! First, Boudoir’s Calme Tristesse dress is a lovely lace top that divulges just the right amount of skin. Besides the low neckline, the back also dips deliciously low enough to be a treat from the front and the back. The dress also comes with a fuller, longer skirt (shown on the left) as well as the shorter, more sparse skirt (on the right).
I accented the dress with one of the many new releases from SL’s hardest working jeweler, Misti Merryman, owner of $Ganked$ jewels. This set is called “Flutter” and it comes in both blue and pink.
