Wow this week has been flying by…getting everything sorted for The Deck’s first birthday, I have already seen some of the beautiful items being given over the weekend, and I am floored by the generosity of the creators. I even found the cutest balloon fountains to decorate with, but as they are particles I am keeping them mostly out of avatar range so that no one ends up in a grey squares attack…I remember being new and poofers were all the rage, and you would tp somewhere and suddenly be swarmed by them. It used to scare the hell out of me.

Wow the weekend flew past, I don’t even know what we did, I know I turned SL 4 that’s about it. I do know though that I introduced Whimsy to the dark side, now that she has a WoW account we have been killing things and such, and to find her now I have to go looking there. I have also been reading a lot more lately, and a lot of what I read is total rubbish, I am the first to admit it. But I enjoy it and that is the main thing.
I am looking forward to this weekend though, as it will be our celebration of The Deck being around for just over a year, and many of the designers that have stores there are going to be giving gifts over the weekend, so I will enjoy getting to see many people come back and revisit The ... I miss the days when we used to wear a gown at least once a week in Second Life, where did those events go? did people get busier or leave? I know that we often talk about those days gone by, and I do know that people do still go out dancing and on dates in Second Life, and thankfully because of that we still get creators making such beautiful items for us to wear and enjoy.

When I was little I wanted to be Ann Margaret, I also wanted to be Doris Day, Sophia Loren and most of all Gidget. To be honest, I think I wanted to be all the women of the silver screen, at one time – until I read a book by her housekeeper – I even wanted to be Marilyn Monroe, seriously that book ruined that, I have never been able to enjoy her since reading that book * McSadface. There is just some stuff you should never know about your heroes.

Today is Pink Shirt Day ( if you want to know more about it contact December Dollinger) , with the concept being uniting as one against bullying.
Bullying makes you think of many people in your past and present, my favourite bully of all time has to be every girls favourite bully I would think, especially the fashionable, so today I tried to go with her seaside look rather than the outfits she is most known for.

Hair, Hair,Hair. Now is the time you should be thinking about HAIR. Not only the new hair I have on today, but all hair, long, short and otherwise. September is coming around fast, and if you didn’t already know that is the scheduled time for this years Hair Fair 2010. I am not going to spill the beans on the theme, but it is a beauty.
The committee is the same incredibly dedicated team chaired by Washu Zebrastripe and Kia Goodliffe, with team Leaders Sasy Scarborough (Me), Teagan Blackthorne, Laynie Link and with Whimsy Winx, Brandy Rasmuson and Autumn Hykova assisting.
If you have ever thought of making hair, or being in the Hair Fair because you do make hair, now is the time to start planning for one of the biggest events of the year. The reason I am unofficially spilling the beans ?
Having fair skin and freckles in Second Life is not an easy task, sure you can find skins with tans and freckles, or fair skin that is porcelain in appearance, but a true red head skin is a rare thing. I am blessed every day, I have met the most amazing people through Second Life, some may not be as close to me as others but everyone of them holds a part of my heart. Being Locked Up this weekend would be a tragedy, with the first ever Pose Fair about to begin, you won’t want to miss out. Maybe being locked up is your thing, and maybe you will wait out the opening weekend munching on easter eggs, but you will definitely make time to visit this wonderful event over the next week for sure.

Do you remember those United Colours of Benetton ads? They hit the airwaves mid 80’s for us down under, and we were all besotted by their diversity and wow factor. I mean that was the point right, to show the diversity in the world and the fact that their brand saw that there was a need to show everyone in advertising campaigns, example here .
There is girly girl in all of us, even those girls that think they don’t have any in them. When Emma Gilmour was talking about her latest big release, there was giggles as we spoke about that surfer girl mumbling and grumbling as on her hands and knees she had to rummage in their closets for a dress and proper shoes to attend some party or dance she didn’t want to go to in the first place.

I have been planning a more in depth coverage on the VR Studio 3.0 and all of its features, and with Pose Fair about to begin now is the perfect time.
I will be working off the complete package, that includes the VR Studio Posestand, the VR Studio HUD, the VR Studio Library and all the extras. The HUD and Posestand are available separately as well, but I could not function without all of it.

When you first rez the stand it will ask you to allow it to link and delink from other objects, the button to press is yes. This is how the inbuilt pose libraries work.

Purple Punishment week is almost over, but as I said before I am having too much fun. I still don’t think I will go to one purple as a first choice ever, but I don’t think I will entirely rule it out, and I love how the other ones look. Today somehow ended up being a corset post, I love corsets, in all of their styles, I especially love them when the designer makes them on all options, so that they work with everything, as was the case with these ones today.

I love What’s New SL Group, biased maybe, but today I got to feature some people that I have explored as stores due to the group. What I love more though, is when people provide all info in notices…that’s what What’s New SL was mainly set up for…but when it actually happens, it is very cool. Such as sending all landmarks to different locations so that if I happen to be intending to go to one location and get a notice for a store there, I can pop into it while already there, yes that means updating satelites locations, but it is due to those that many of us find your mains anyway.

Unless there is purple on the scarecrow or in the fields, this post won’t have any…but if you squint you can mix the red and blue together to make it yourself. Ok actually, I am going to totally throw the side of the boat at all those people that argue with me and try and tell me that that colour is purple, because it is so blue, but we have this debate all the time.
I don’t own any bunnies, and I don’t plan to, but the fun thing about everyone od’ing on them, is that I have been able to see some amazing sims because of the obsession. One such build is Farmhaven, which is actually a residential sim for people that like the laid back farm life. It is really beautiful and I do hope that the owners of the sim don’t mind that I took some pics ...

So I have this dream this morning, that if I broke it down, I could attribute to the whole week in Second Life. The main theme was that I was late for a wedding, in which I was in the wedding party – seeing as I did a post wearing a wedding gown, it is lucky I didn’t dream I was the bride. So anywho, we were in the car on the way finally, with only 15 mins to get there, and I realised while putting on my shoes – yes everything that could go wrong did go wrong – that the shoes I grabbed were brown suede, actual shoes I have RL in storage as a matter of fact, so that was funny.
