Emma, Emma, Emma. How I heart thee. Let me count the ways:

Emma Gilmour is one of my favouritist creators ever. Combining the casualness that I love with surfer chic, it’s a perfect blend that looks just as great on the beach or the boardwalk. The Summer Stripes Skirt is gorgeous, I love that it is ever so slightly high-waisted. I am a huge fan of the tank also, and I love ruffles on tanks, but so often the ruffles are just painted in. While I can appreciate that chest ruffles would be difficult to fit the many varied shapes in SL, I do love love love that Emma has made one with sculpted ruffles. It’s just more real to me!

Someone kill me. I have all sorts of new amazing clothes, skins, hair and shoes that I love and can’t take off, but I am working overtime to get into the blogging spirit again after my forced hiatus. Actually, it’s kinda hard to get back into the habit of logging into SL at all! But when there are lovely clothes like the ones 5th & Oxford came out with not too far in the distant past just sitting in my inventory begging me to wear them and admire myself, well…let’s just say that’s motivation.

Seaside Sweetie is the name of their latest collection, and it’s perfect for spending time at the seashore, whether it be Cape Cod or the Jersey shore. Well, maybe it’s too classic for the Jersey shore, or at least the TV show.
The texture work is sublime, and Roslin has mastered the system skirt, particularly the ...

Well. I’m back! That time away sucked, but I got a new video card so yay! I have A LOT backed up, so you’ll have to forgive me if I don’t babble as much as I normally do, but rest assured if it’s on my blog, I love it like a fat kid loves cake.
Sigma came out with some new items while I was gone and omg…there’s a reason this store has fast become one of my favourite jewelry stores in SL. I love virtually everything they come out with, and this release is no exception.

Illyria is a gorgeous casual set, with big looped jewels, combined with either gold or silver metal. Above is Charcoal/Gold.

And Cobalt with silver metal. I can’t decide which I like better, but luckily it’s a pretty good deal and when you buy a colour, you get both metal options. There are earrings ...

The pose fair is when I was first made aware of Del May. Since then, a selection of her poses have been sitting in a folder in my “To Be Blogged’ folder, awaiting the day when I felt more worthy. I’ve been thinking about these poses since then, wondering how on Earth I could up my own game to keep up.

Her poses are edgy and artistic and inspiring. One of the most beautiful photos I’ve seen in ages, taken by the stunningly talented Keiko Morigi, uses one of Del May’s poses, and it’s absolutely fair to say that this pose *makes* the photo. You have to see all of the poses, so make sure you go down to Del May to check them out for yourself.

Tiny Bird’s Autumn Hykova, a long-time friend who I don’t get to talk to nearly enough, put out her first real clothing release today for Fifty Linden Friday, and this such a sweet summer frock, perfect for those who like to look soft and pretty.

It comes in eleven colours at an insanely reasonable price for each (L$125 each!) or you can get the fatpack for L$700. I don’t know why they’re so inexpensive but I’m not complaining! Added to that, the champagne colour is only L$50 until midnight tonight for Fifty Linden Friday! I don’t think I’m going to be changing out of this dress anytime soon!

Go get yours at Tiny Bird!

SLink continues to be one of my shoe heroes. They make the shoes I never would have thought of but now can’t imagine living without.

I never would have imagined I’d want gems on my shoes but once I wore these, all I could think was “oooh how shiny!” They come in 10 colours, with fifteen gemstone colours (though not onyx, *ahem* Siddean!) and countless other options:
• Socks or no socks
• Open or closed-toe
• Stockings or no stockings
• Invisiprim or 2.0 alpha
• Colour-change metals (like the zipper pull)
• Colour-change nailpolishes
• Skin colour customization, including the RGB value input (so you just have to enter the number to match)
• Scripted resizing if the straps cut into your ankle or whatever, or if you just want bigger or smaller feet
And all of that is in the super-easy, anyone-can-use-it, have-to-be-an-idiot-not-to-understand-it HUD. But just in ...

Reek’s new slides are perfect casual comfyness, worn with socks of course as is this season’s look. I remember the last time socks and sandals were in fashion and I never thought I’d be happy to see it come around again, but when you have shoes that are as cute as these, hey, you make allowances.
We can always use more casual shoes in our SLives, because I bet everyone’s inventory is already overrun with heels and boots and everything a “fashionista” could ever desire.
The options are there: the shoes are colour-changeable for the socks (toe caps) as well as the soles (I’m gonna call them footbeds though because sole to me means bottom of the foot). So you can have green slides with green or white footbeds, and any colour of socks you want. If you want bare feet, then you can wear the sandals alone without sculpted ...

LeLutka is releasing their new skin on Wednesday, a gorgeous beauty called Lola.

It has some gorgeous new makeups in five tones, my favourite of which is Dark, shown above. And the eyebrows are to die for. I’ll post a full roundup tomorrow, but this is just a teaser sneak peek.

Oh it’s been a rough week for me. But so much goodness is coming out of SL it’s helping to make up for it!
Luth Brodie of Reel Expression, who was possibly the first maker of model poses in SL, or at least the first one I was ever aware of, is back to work and making poses!

One of the new releases is the Fashion Series 8 set, twelve poses geared for fashion. It has some great poses in the set, and the switching is smooth and easy.

Prim twister extraordinaire Truth Hawks has released some great new styles today, and I am so excited I was pretty much still awake to see them! We woulda had them yesterday if it wasn’t for bloody LL! But better late than never, right?

From the left, we have Tia, a gorgeous fuller braid with messy tendrils on both sides. In the centre is Poppy, a long hair with curled bangs. This is a very cute style, it reminds of me when you have curly hair and you just can’t the bangs to lie flat! I like the naturalness of it a lot. And finally on the right is Riley, a more casual updo with a colour-changing wraparound headband.

There’s been several posts about both the new Reek beachwear and the Glitterati beach ball pose set, and guess what? That’s right, there’s going to be one more!

Last Friday, Reek released a bunch of new beachwear options, and yay it’s love! We always need new cute boardshorts and bikini tops to match, and if there’s a third option in cute bikini bottoms, so much the better.

There are several different styles of tops, including floral, tops with a pretty bird on one boob and then just gradiant solid colours. They can all be mixed and matched with the boardshorts, and then if you like, there are solidly coloured bikini bottoms, with very cute sculpted ties on each side. This is a can’t-miss for the summer months coming upon us (sorry, Southern Hemisphere).
In keeping with the Summer Is Upon Us theme, Glitterati has released some new pose sets, including ...

Glam Affair, née Beauty Avatar, has recently released their Element collection, a series of seven black and edgier outfits. I was fortunate to receive these to preview, and they definitely captured my interest.

Camile is a sexy sequined minidress which will surely turn some heads at the club (are there any good clubs these days? Damn I miss Seven Ultra Lounge) or wherever you happen to be. The huge sleeves too are an eye-catcher.

Laure is an empire-waisted flowy top over some crazy cutout leggings. I love these leggings so much, I hope they come out in more colours!

Mindy, the craziest ballerina outfit ever, with virtually no top above the corset (just X’d out nipple covers) and a tutu gone loco. The flower-shaped collar balances out the tutu very well indeed.

Fallingwater Cellardoor, one of the first masters of the sculpted prim, is back in SL and creating new shoes for her brand Shiny Things! This is one of my all-time favourite brands in SL and I am hopeful that these new flats are a sign of more great things to come.
Her time away from SL has not diminished her skill in the least; the new Zimmy flats are as sublimely made and textured as ever, maybe even more so. The bow is optional, with a simple click on the shoe to remove or add it.
With the contrasting toe, there are some gorgeous colour combinations, including my personal favourites, the white with black toes, a perfect update to the classic Oxford styling.
She’s also kept up with the new viewer options, and if you’re on 2.0, you can wear the included alpha layer and skip the invisiprim, and of ...

I remember when I first heard of Earthstones. My best friend Nyte had offered small shops on her Sim for newer designers to help them get exposure, and there was this person named Abraxxa Anatine which I have never forgotten. I am pretty sure it’s a name that just sticks in your head once you hear it.
It’s been at least two years since then, and Earthstones is now one of the “big names” in jewelry design, at least for me. Her store is very earthy and rustic feeling, but inside you can find some of the most beautiful and intricate work around.

Chandraki is the latest release, and it strikes me as a bit bohemian and quirky, but still gorgeous. There are some amazing colour options available and this one is the most colourful with spectrolite and gold and smooth dark wood encircling it. Sets include the necklace, earrings ...

Dutch Touch has released two new skins recently, and with every release they get better and better & have more and more options.

Keira is the first skin I’ve ever had with red brows, and I imagine all of the SL gingers out there are delighted to have brows tailor-made for them. Yes, brown brows seem to work just fine for me when I want to wear red hair, but I’m not a natural redhead and so I don’t think my opinion counts as much ya know?

Siddean Munro of SLink gets better & better with each release. Her latest, the divinely sexy Quinn boots, are sublime works of art.
When these first hit the grid in a teaser colour for Fifty Linden Fridays, I was so excited I didn’t even wait for the photo to fully rez before I did the click-buy.
You can wear these boots with either open or closed toes, but I found myself more drawn to the closed toes. And it’s not at all because I was not in the mood to try and tint my toes to my skin. Because actually I find SLink some of the easiest to work with for that.
These come in ten delicious colours (not including the Fifty Linden Friday burgundy special editions). They are L$650 each, and the fatpack of all ten is L$3250.
Skin creators in SL have gotten together to drain my Linden balance, I know it. But damn, I look hot!

Belleza has recently released Elle, the third skin in what I like to think is a group of sisters. Elle seems to be the middle sister, not quite as sophisticated as her big sister Jesse, and not quite as innocent as her younger sister Alyson.
Elle also offers more skintones than before, with two tones more than the last release, Alyson, and five more tones than what was offered with Jesse. A new Fair tone has been added, which is more pale than Pale, and a new Mocha tone, shown above.
Also, I want to show off the new “Katey-kini”, Nayar’s latest release named after his partner, and it’s a super-cute bikini. Yes, there are minor seam issues but they’re not generally too noticeable with your average AO. I think ...

The Pose Fair has been awesome. I got a new AO (self-made with stands, sits & all the other stuff all from SLC & ANA_Mations, for those curious souls) and found some new great stores I’ve now had to save in my landmarks folder for later perusal and I even made a pretty awesome new friend! All in all, not a bad haul.
But when I saw today the new exclusive Pose Sets for men and women, I think that was the most excited I’ve been! I’m a sucker for exclusive stuff. I still love my RFL 2008 poses from LAP and use them all the time, and I would cut off my prim feet before I’d give up the Maitreya special edition shoes I’ve managed to snag.
These are poses representative of the 104 pose creators at the fair, and I liked virtually every one of the thirty-six! ...

The Pose Fair is winding down and it’s something you should not miss before it’s gone! At this point, it’s probably pretty painless – I know it has been the last few times I’ve been. Yes, I’ve been several times, like more than five. What can I say, I like fairs, charitable drives and of course poses!

Hopscotch is a new store (to me, in any case) and they’re full of promise. There are lots of pose sets to choose from, and the poses are really cute. I do have to say that I’m not a big fan of the transitions between poses, and I talked with creator Chandni Khondji quite a bit about them this evening. She is a fan of the poses just getting from one to the next, as fast as possible. I like smooth transitions so it’s not so jarring to my (perhaps sensitive) eye, but ...

There are so many poses at the Pose Fair, and Miamai Poses is another new one! Mavi Beck is now making poses, didja know that?

I love these poses! There’s something unique and fresh about them but I can’t quite pinpoint it. The switching between poses is smooth, but slightly too slow for my taste. I like to go faster, I got things to do! But at least they’re not jerky.

All of these can be found at the Pose Fair, where they’re displaying a brand new Coco set. Super sexy and perfect for showing off your latest anything!

There are SO many pose creators at the Pose Fair and I’ve never heard of a lot of them, which is both awesome and overwhelming on the Linden balance. There are too many to feature individually, so I thought I’d put a few of my favourite poses from a few stores that are either new, or new-to-me.

Don’t Freak Out is an awesome name for a store! These poses are from the Full of Secrets series, and I like how they are a bit freer with the arms. I sometimes grow weary of either the legs or the arms being the focus of a specific pose, but hardly ever both, and these work well with my avatar which is also a huge bonus. The switching between poses was smooth too, a requirement for poses I use.

You might ask, what am I afraid of? Spending a fortune at the Pose Fair, of course! Glitterati’s brainchild, the 2010 Pose Fair which benefits Motivation, is a superabundance of poses and animations, which are often overlooked, though for the life of me I can’t understand why. It’s no secret I love me some poses, including a few stores in my last Shoe Fair even.

The other night, I was desperately looking for balloons. Not necessarily one that included poses, but one that would work well with my own poses. Well, I didn’t find something that suited my vision, but the next night creator Kianna Noel of !AVANT sent me a pack of her new pose sets, and they’re all about balloons! Talk about fortuitous timing!

Each of her Dolly’s Balloons (or balloon sets, as the case may be) comes with its own animation, and each balloon is texture changeable, which is awesome! I love having the option to change the balloon colours.

My favourites are the balloons with a bunch of them, almost like they could carry you away with the right wind. I guess it reminds me of Up, which is one of my favourite movies of the year.

It was a movie I think, where it was noted that if you mouthed “Olive Juice,” it would look like I love you. And it’s appropriate here, because Olive Juice has come out with some awesome stuff for the first ever Pose Fair, which starts tomorrow.
50% of all sales from these sets will go to Motivation, a wonderful charity that the Pose Fair is supporting. I absolutely love it when fairs adopt a charity to support, and I don’t go to fairs that are solely for sales and have no altruistic intentions whatsoever.

The Secret Agent Man set is based on any number of spy movies, with their typical “I’m a badass killing machine, but I also look damn hot doing it!” stances. And yay, it includes a prop handgun for those of us who don’t actually own any in our bulging inventories.

Gospel Voom is one of the super talented designer behind GOS, a newish (to me, anyway) store that specializes on amazingly detailed watches and sunglasses, not to mention shoes. There are other non-avatar related items, like furniture, but that’s not what I’m focusing on today. Today, it’s all about the sunglasses because the summer is almost here, and it’s already gorgeous weather here on the west coast.

The Butterfly model is probably my favourite. I kinda like the oversized glasses look in SL, because the real me just does not look good in sunglasses like this. So this is me living vicariously through my avatar. There is a buttload of options for these and all of their glasses, including tons of colours for the lenses, frames, hardware, etc. Opacity is customizable, as is full-bright and glow from off to high.

I think this may be my last post on the Accessory Fair, unless I can find something else I am just dying to show off. So I thought it might as well include my running theme – flowers!

Haunted Zuzu is yet one more new-to-me store, and when I saw this cute Black Crystal set, I knew I had to wear it. The hair flower has weird spiky things coming out of it, and it reminded me vaguely of a spider, but it’s a different sort of embellishment and I am always up for something a bit different! I very rarely post about freebies, and in fact I never do when it’s solely about the one item. There’s simply too much free stuff, and I think having a grid full of freebies & hunts in general is hurting the SL economy and our designers. But that’s another topic for another time.

Encounter is a gorgeous new gown with a flowing, full skirt. Garnished with a rose at the empire waist, this is perfect for any special occasion.

Wisk is a short-skirted honey of a dress with a sexy bare back paired with a skirt tied at the top with a contrasting bow.

And finally, we have the Forte skirt! Embellished with roses and a black wraparound belt. Super cute and perfect for Spring!

I sometimes live in a bubble. There, I said it. I do have to admit, I’ve seen the occasional post about Sigma on the Le.Look blog, but it didn’t register or something, I dunno. But I’ve now corrected that gross oversight, and I have to say I’m a little bit in love now. Thank gawd they were at the Accessory Fair when I was checking out the stores or else I would still be in my own head going “la la la…”

The Lumina set, comprised of a necklace and two styles of bracelets, was one of my favourites to discover, as I absolutely love muted metallics.
