I picked up these new boots at +grasp+, which I love. Shortly afterward, while shopping around, I picked up this jumper from Kunglers, a place I really should make a note to hit up more often. LOVE the stuff there.

I threw them on together, added a bunch of layers and accessories I already had in my inventory waiting to be used… and then I got stuck. Something was missing. Gabby took a look at me, suggested legwarmers, I threw on what I had and loved the outcome! <3 She totally underestimates her styling abilities; something I find myself constantly telling her.

I received a notice a couple days ago that the embryo sim has reopened and, since I was just standing around trying to find an appropriate spot for my new windmill (as you do), I took a tp over.

Did you know that there are stores under water there? I didn’t. I found out by accident. Actually I fell. Onto a store. And then I was like, “Oh, look! Stuff!” I guess that would make me ignorant AND clumsy.

I would be remiss to allow Mischief’s closing go by without chiming in with a word or a hundred about it. After all, Mischief is one of the first clothing stores I found in SL… and I’m pretty sure I bought one of everything on my first visit.

I took a teleport over to Mischief’s closing sale today to stock up on some wardrobe staples and, very much like my first visit, it was a total spending spree. Cute clothes on the cheap will bring me running every time. I have no shame. 

Based on the group notice, I’m happy to report that Michief’s owner, Janie Marlowe, is revamping her SL and will continue to create. I look forward to seeing where her talent takes her next!

Being a danged popular spot to hang, I found Barerose pretty soon after I first rezzed… and after several shopping excursions there, I simply stopped going. I’m not sure why; everything I have ever purchased there has been top quality and reasonably priced. Maybe it was the lag. Maybe it was because I tend to feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the selection there. Maybe it’s because I’m pretty airheaded.

Isn’t she preeeeeetty? I love her! She is now one of six avatars I’ve created and own in SL and only one of two that I run on a consistent basis; Perion, of course, being my original and main avi. Perion is the one with the land, the massive inventory and the vast linden account. Lucky bitch.

Alts can be weird for me. Perion aside, I have four others older than this one and have never been able to bond with any of them. Surprisingly, this one has developed nicely and I find I enjoy running her around SL more than I do my main avi. I suppose that’s because she’s the first one I modeled after myself. Because, yeah, my RL body is EXACTLY LIKE HERS. Hee.

But I do have the big ole mop of auburn hair, big, green eyes, kinda elongated face… and this ensemble she’s currently wearing is not unlike something I’d throw ...

Chalice Carling posed a challenge to create two looks – a church bride and a beach bride – using only what is currently in your inventory. I couldn’t WAIT to get started on this one because I knew it’d be fun.  And it was!

Plus, I had just bought a couple of new updo’s from W&Y the day before I’d seen this challenge and I wanted a reason to show them off. It’s all about me.

I’m sad to say that the gown in that first picture is no longer available. Last Call closed two years ago and, despite the great advancements in SL fashion that have taken place during that time, Last Call’s creations still continue to hold their own beautifully. I miss that store. *sobs uncontrollably*

After picking these up and amusing the hell out of myself for a couple hours (not like THAT… pervs), I headed on over to the Rogue Forest sim for s’s and g’s. There are two adjoining stores here, Roseo and *M*, and both have lucky boards. For nothing more than the effort of joining the Roseo group, I won his dress (which comes in three lengths) and later on, I won an otter at *M*. I also won a Bloody Cat at this place but that was a while ago… I was delighted to see he’s still available for winning!
