I have been rather busy of late. In RL and SL. Mainly I’ve been working on an entirely new project, which is – I’m moving my store. For many reasons – 1) It’s time for a change, 2) I have a desire to move off the mainland 3) I want to work collaboratively with some friends 4) The pg/mature search bug is too much for me. Anywho I hope to be moving it soon! In the meantime, I’ve been working on several things – new jewelry pieces that have been coming along beautifully, new hair which is still a struggle for me, a new store build, a new sim build, blogging Fifty Linden Friday’s for SCD. Yep there are days when I feel like just hanging out, in my comfies, doing nada. Fortunately for me, League has the comfiest sweats available to fit the bill. I love these sweats. LOVE THEM. I’ve been meaning to blog them for days – but well, the day just gets away from me! I’m wearing the Jade skin from Tuli which is about the most deceptively sexy skin I’ve seen in a long time, I mean I loved it instantly, but it hit me just this morning how sexy it is. Hello out there! Life does have an awful habit of just moving on heh? How long can Mouse Mimistrobell remain in a snit anyways? Apparently not too long – although I am prone to instantaneous snittish-nish. Dark Mouse is still not in search in any meaningful way. In the last week or so, I decided that I needed to do something to jump start sales at my main store. Since the search bug has been in full effect, sales had dropped at my store significantly. I get no visits, teleports off my classifieds had fallen to zero. At first, I despaired. Then after a day or so of that AND a lot of hits on my blog, I thought well I have to push through this. I’d committed to several events in SL that I felt strongly about – Etheria, The Good Shit Hunt (which is almost here), and I had just opened new satelite stores in new locations. At 10 a.m. I was forcefully reminded of what SL is really all about. I attended the memorial service for Natalie Defiant, who you may remember as the owner of Electric Jane’s, a talented, unique individual who an awful lot of people cared about, myself included. Natalie’s typist passed away in RL on June 9. Many knew her as various characters in SL, some of whom I never even knew about (I really am a hermit). What did a 45 year old mother of 3 and a 22 year old suffering from a debilitating disease have in common? Nothing. Not a thing. But we enjoyed each others company on occasion. About three months ago, I was chatting with my dear friend Kesseret Steeplechase, and discussing creativity and how we spend so much time bringing our ideas to life in Second Life. We were talking about clothing designers and jewelers and fashion in general – then Kess says to me, we should do a show! I said, we don’t do shows – we don’t have show skillz. She said – yes we can! And from that moment forward we decided to hold an ‘event.’ I told Kess that what I was really interested in was collaborating with clothing designers. What is it that men say always wins the argument? I’ve been married for 20 years and let me tell you my husband crumbles like blue cheese in endive lettuce at the sight of my tears. “Happy, smile. Sad, frown. Use the corresponding face with the corresponding emotion.” Just wandering around SL, wondering today if I’ve been around too long. Oh and I’ve been making clothing. I am currently consumed by, “how the hell do you get the bottom of a shirt to match the top of the jacket.” It’s not really good for my dyslexia, cause I’m constantly confused by which side of the template corresponds with which (seriously, I FORGET). Ideally I SHOULD be consumed by making new jewelry, improving my hair sculpts and textures, changing over my store to a better gifting system/vendor system and preparing for Etheria. But no, I’m looking at this template instead. That’s just me. Oh and I love that movie. It’s simply priceless – I’m totally watching it tonite, I’ve decided.

I don’t think it’s any secret that I have a fondness for the creations of Ibizarre. I will always check out new releases! I got a notecard today and went over to check out the new dresses but could not make up my mind. Whilst gandering around at the other new releases though I came across THIS DRESS. This is probably not a surprise to anyone, but I have a habit of examining the neckline of just about anything I buy for obvious reasons. The neckline on this dress just sucked me in! Hi there my fellow second lifers! I’m participating in the 69L Hump Day Happiness special again, and having fun with it. I have been interested for a long time in making clothes that combine extensively with ‘jewelry’ or extensive prim work, and so followed that idea to its logical conclusion. I made a shirt with extensive prim attachments. I LOVED making it. Is it perfect? No. Does it compete with what you normally see from designers? Hi there my lovelies. I have new releases! YAY! I’ve been working on a couple of projects for a while – I’m a slow burn as they say. The first thing I was working on was making a texture that looked like it had been made from some kind of old bone, specifically chipped bone. Where do these ideas come from? No idea LOL. The other idea I had was to create a texture that looked like plastic or lucite. Hopefully I’m close on both counts. The first jewelry set is called, Fossilized. So I changed my shape! OMFG. I received the Sayuri VIP group skin gift from Tuli, which has been blogged within an inch of its life but deserves it. I ‘liked’ it on my shape.
