Elusyve said I had to go to the Albero Gatcha Festival -and since she’s a fucking giant who might squashe me, I went.
She also said I had to wear everything I got immediately, which meant I was walking around wearing many boxes. I think this might’ve been some mean elf trick on her part.
But since I had never been to nor patronized any sort of gatcha, you know, like Ron Burgundy would say – WHEN IN ROME.
I can’t actually wear everything I got at once.

If you think my SL blogging planning is an insane jumble of busy you oughta see my RL planner. I’m so far behind I’m first. So it was with absolute joy that I slipped into something comfy as soon as I could get home.
Something comfy like this awesome new release from Phoenix Rising – the Oxygen shirt in Ice and the Tiffany Shorts. The shirt also has a prim attachment for a baby doll look but I wasn’t in a baby doll mood, I was feeling comfy and just shy of that prissy. You can see it HERE.

Sacha’s Designs recently released GABRIELLE’S DREAMS and it reminds me so much of my first formal gown I’m giddy.
Of course, my gown didn’t have all these skirt and jacket options allowing me to create tons of looks. No, I was just forced to deal with the one skirt that came with it, IMAGINE!
I know, that’s pedestrian and lame, but RL can be like that. Or so I hear.

One of my best friends from high school is still someone I keep in touch with. As long as I’ve known her she’s had this kind of serious looking scar right over her left eyebrow.
I asked her how she did it, finally, after years of knowing her, and she repleid, “I was playing Frankenstein with my little brother.” To which I said,”Huh?”
Apparently they were walking through the house,with their eyes closed and arms outstretched like Frankenstein – moaning “YESSSSS MASSSSSTER” at one another when she slipped, fell down some stairs and hit her head on the coffee table.
Having been forbidden to PLAY Frankenstein previously (for obvious reasons) they hid from her mom as long as possible, although eventually they ended up in the E.R. getting stitches.
Whenever I see a collar, all I can think of is Chris……..and the scar above her eye.

Nothing said Summer of Love quite as well to me as this patchwork dress from Sn@tch and since I was determined to wear something hippie festive with this hair from EXILE – Miranda in Ash for the Summer of Love festivale.
If you are old enough, you know that they called them both yippies AND hippies however hippies caught on and that’s the one everyone remembers. I just remember the yippies because my Grandma was forever going on about the “damned dirty yippies”.
However being as fussy and prissy as I am, I couldn’t really rock the au natural earth girl look….I gotta wear the makeup people!

My friend Hybie has a little hair shop called TENDRILS and she has made hairs! I chose the most white/platinum shades for fun and only picked up a couple, but I really liked the selection at her little show. Boutique hair FTW!

So I was logged in the other night, working on a project that Cajsa and I have been doing over on It’s Only Fashion, celebrating the designs and the diversity of fashion choice at Sn@tch when my friend Ersatz IMs me.

There seems to be some misunderstanding that the only people who can find clothes at Sn@tch are goth queens and those who give much props to THEIR $I$STAHS or other such nonsense in their profiles. Funny story about my pool. When I bought it, it was bigger than the plot of land I lived on. It didn’t LOOK that big. But then I brought it home and rezzed it and well, I had to get more land didn’t I? Tragedy.

Ok I freely admit my own dorkitude on about all counts.
I also admit that prim feet have been my nemesis since the moment the first pair slid onto the grid. I’ve tried this brand and that. I have been epic fail on every count. I did make some BOMB ASS GREEN FEET the other day for a pair of shoes.
Alas, my skin wasn’t green. So that was kind of a fail. But if I had had olive green skin, they woulda been FULL OF WIN.

First of all I Ruthed Gidge up. But for my girl challenge, I decided that most of us with any kind of attention to fashion can make a free Barbie Girl AV pretty fast. It’s true. I’m actually TERRIFIED of them. I’d like to say that it’s some archetypal memory that has me so scared. But no. It’s this dream I have from when I was about three years old.
One dream, totally scarred me for life – no lie. It’s always exactly the same and yeah I still have it sometimes. I dream that I’m in one of those diving bells, and there is a giant octopus on the outside and it’s going to crush the diving bell and I’m gonna drown.
Not very elaborate is it?

RL Gidge is sick with the plague. So I thought posting pics from a day when I was feeling festive and giddy would make me feel better.
After all, who couldn’t be festive when they TP into a new place and win not ONE but TWO loli dresses? This would just be one of them! You are gonna have to wait for the other.

I went shopping with Cajsa some weeks ago and cleaned out my Linden balance buying this and that at the cutest shopping area she’d found. As a former resident of the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico I’ve watched in horror since the Deepwater Horizon exploded. Were it not for the loss of life, both human and sea creatures, it’d be comic. With no plan and no quick resolution available, we have continued daily to watch the mess unfold and to listen on the radio to the communities of the Gulf beg us to please come spend our tourist dollars there.
There are jokes about the Exxon Valdez. I guess some day there will be jokes about this. I can’t imagine them, but they will exist. Maybe this all won’t seem so bad by then. I doubt it.
We lack the alchemy to reverse what has happened, and the science to swoop in and just STOP The leak.

I was torn when I shot this outfit from Sascha’s Designs – between singing the Brady Bunch’s SUNSHINE DAY – and the Lemonheads INTO YOUR ARMS. Evan Dando won out in the end,mostly because I love that song, and I saw the Lemonheads right before I moved away from Florida and it was an EXCELLENT SHOW.
Even if Evan Dando did cut off all his beautiful hair and not grow it back.
Stupid.

What does one wear with the fanciest shoes one owns?
Well, I wore jeans.
These are what I all “Pope Shoes”. And there is even a reason! It’s because back in the day I worked for a catalog company that sold tons of bejeweled shoes for women. One night, several beers in, I was trying to describe to my best friend these shoes from our catalog and I said ……you know,POPE SHOES. Like the kind the Pope would wear, only his jewels would be real and not paste.
The name stuck.
I suspect that if the Pope wore these, they’d also have less of a heel.
These are from Baiastice and come in a beautiful array of colors that I’m sure you’ll be seeing if you haven’t already. They are gorgeous.
