New Hair + New Poses = Happy Gabby
LeLutka recently released some all new hairstyles and, like pretty much everything that comes from the LeLutka team, they are both gorgeous and well made. The new textures seem to have a lot of shine and there are dozens of color options available.

I went on a shopping spree at Dare and picked up some fantastic new poses and…hello, Bonus! Each of the four new “Single Ladies” sets includes a bodysuit by !Ohmai. I have no idea if I have the right bodysuit with the right pose or not, because I just sort of threw them all in a posestand and started playing. Sorry!

A bit ago, Annah Whitfield of StoRin sent me her Around The World poses. Like a good blogger, I put together an adorable little outfit and took some photos on my home sim. Then, like a good procrastinator, I let them sit on my desktop, untouched, for far too long.

On Thursday, I visited Jordan Giant’s Nordari, specifically the min.poegin skybox. It just felt like home to me. So, I pulled out Annah’s bags and prepared to unpack. I do hope Jordan won’t mind if I move in.

I saw Grazia wearing these jeans a couple of weeks ago and finally got around to tracking them down. I remembered that she told me Hunain had turned her on to them, but I didn’t realize until I went looking that they only came in a male version.  After making some adjustments, though, I really love the way they fit. Babyhoney Bailey has, in just the last few days, released her new skin line at Djinn & Tonic, MUA2.0. There are five skin tones and twenty makeup choices available.

Babyhoney’s makeup choices range from fresh and subtle to bold and daring, however, they all (with only one exception, really) feature really strong eyes. I love that!

Here are two of the twenty makeup options, Babette and Sofia, shown in the Beach skin tone. And, for fun, there are three versions of the Ouch skin, the one on the right is Ouch II.

I love poses. Really I do. And today, I love the new poses from Glamouramama Boa’s Just A Pose shop in the new Bloom shopping area.

When I saw the package from Glam drop into my offlines, I couldn’t wait to get home and try them.  Glam has a quirky, sometimes kinky, always infectious sense of humor and personal style. I just knew the poses would reflect her personality.  And, they do! Glam told me today that she is really inspired by the feedback she is receiving, so expect some more poses very soon!

Yesterday was my third rez day and Codie surprised me with a party! This is the outfit that I put together for an evening of good music, friends and fun! Thanks to everyone who came and sent kind words. I <3 you all!

This post will be a random mix of RL and SL thoughts, so if you’ll indulge me for a few minutes, I’d like to tell you a little about my day.

I work for a surgeon. A demanding, exacting, ridiculously talented surgeon. I would trust him with my life, in fact, on or about July 26th, I’ll do just that.  Today, he was in hyper-demanding mode. By the end of the day, I felt like I had run a marathon.  The only thing I wanted to do was run home, soak in a long hot bath and sleep.

After work, though, he asked me to attend a support group meeting that he was moderating. It was so inspiring to hear all of these people talk. It really gave me a whole new outlook on my day. He is ...

Today’s Topic: Write about three positive things going on in your Second Life.

I started thinking about this topic earlier today when I first saw the topic. At that time, my RL Monday was disintegrating into a jumbled, craptastic mess and I was finding it hard to see anything positive in either life. I opened my email to check for offlines and smiled at some sweet messages from a few friends. I wandered through plurk and found myself chuckling at bits of randomness. And then, I had coffee. Amazing how a little caffeine can improve my mood.

Sitting here, writing this, I realize that there are several really positive things going on in my Second Life right now. But, as the topic limits me to three; three is all you get.

I was feeling just a little frisky, so I decided to try on the Little Glitter Dress from caLLie cLine.

The dress comes on all layers and, as the edges are completely finished, you can leave off the skirt prim and wear it as a cute little hotpants romper.  I decided to keep the prim on, but moved it to the pelvis attachment point so that I could wear the PN CC Tail Extreme, made by Obyri Nightfire in collaboration with caLLie cLine.   The tail is accented with a diamond ring, made by Callie, that matches Callie’s Rock Diamond Bangle.  The tail is scripted with movement and emotes, so it is a lot of fun to play with.  And don’t forget the ears! They are edged in diamonds to complete the glitzy kitty look.

When my very dear friend Caer Balogh asked me to pose for a photograph featuring the new Seaside Sweetie collection by 5th and Oxford, I was more than honored. Not only is Caer an amazing photographer, but Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot are two of my favorite designers.

This is the look I put together for that photo, with Caer’s guidance, of course. I love all of the hand-drawn details on both the halter and the shorts, especially the subtle shading in all of the right places. Roslin has an impeccable eye for these things, and she never ceases to amaze me with her skill.

Ryker Beck has been busy creating over the last several weeks and on Tuesday releases the latest additions to the Exodi Summer collection: the Imani Tee with Bow and Denim Frayed Lounge Shorts.

The tee comes in ten colors and is detailed with a delicate floral motif. The ruched side is tied with a prim bow. The short shorts are frayed along the hem and pockets for a comfy, worn-in look. The shorts are available in eight shades. The poses are from StoRin’s latest release called Something Cute.

As my dear friend Caer pointed out, the LeLutka lineage is evident, but LOLA is a little softer than previous releases. I’m really not great at mixing and matching. I often have a really hard time thinking of how a piece from one outfit could be repurposed into a completely different look. For example, until I saw the LOTD Aradia posted on her Flickr last week, I wouldn’t have thought of wearing Linc’s Tank Dress as a shirt. So, that is where the inspiration for this look came from.

This weekend, Dick Wiesel of WoE will release his first Lingerie set. Olivia is meticulously constructed and will be available in nine colors.  One thing I’ve always loved about clothing from WoE is the depth of texture. Olivia is no exception. The dark shade of the scroll-like detailing, layered over the base color lends a velvet feel to the strapless corset and thong panties.  Each piece is edged with intricate lacework.

The corset is laced up the back and the thigh-high stockings feature a back seam and cuban heels. Olivia will be available on all layers, including tattoo layers for Viewer 2.0, and each set includes four shades of stockings.

I have been bouncing with excitement waiting for Pose Fair 2010 to start…and it is getting closer!  I was able to sneak into the sim today and somehow managed to not go broke within an hour. I’m telling you, it took amazing restraint and I won’t make any promises for tomorrow.  Here is a quick sneak peak at some of the newness from three shops you’ll find at the fair.



Pose Fair 2010 starts April 2nd and features 99 vendors! Proceeds will benefit Motivation, an international organization that provides aid to disabled individuals in low-income countries.  There are lots of scripts running to keep the vendors and the pose stands working, so help keep the lag down by picking up one of the official Pose Fair Skins when you arrive and leave your scripted prims, radars and AOs at the door.

The truth is, when I think of Truth Hawks, my mind immediately pings, “Hair!” However, he is also a really talented clothing designer.  On a semi-recent trip to Truth, I ventured out to visit his clothing shop and found this cute little number, Voodoo Doll in pink.  I’ve been carrying it around with me since, looking for the perfect shoes to pair it with.

Pose Fair 2010, which opens to the public on April 2, 2010, is the first of its kind in Second Life.

The fair will feature 99 vendors and proceeds will benefit Motivation, an international organization that provides aid to disabled individuals in low-income countries. The organizers and participants have been working hard to prepare and I am so excited to see all of the new poses and animations they have created.

Roslin was kind enough to pass me a sneak peek at the upcoming release from 5th & Oxford, the Jori Blouse and Skirt.

Each piece will be available in eight spring-like colors that coordinate together beautifully, here I’m wearing the blouse in Egg Blue, the waist band from the Coral skirt, and the skirt prim in Twig.  The ensemble is sweet and playful with a buttoned and ruffled neckline and a not-too-full, not-too-short skirt.  Watch for this release soon!

I’m also addicted to my most recent find at Accessory Fair 2010, the Intuition Glasses from Gos Custom Eyewear.  You can personalize them by adding your initials to the arms, change the lens tint and opacity, and if the four included frame colors (Black, White, Chrome and Tortoise Shell) are not enough for you, you can purchase additional colors in the form of really clever cans of spray ...

I`m feeling a little lazy on this Monday morning, so I put together an equally casual look using some of the new separates from Phoenix Rising.

I accessorized Phoenix Rising`s Ilan Cardigan in Blue and Sopie Cuffed Jeans in Light Wash with another of SiSSi`s AF2010 releases, the Where Are My Glasses necklace (be sure to check out all of the color change options!), and Truth`s latest side pony, Emerald in Champagne.  The demi trainers from ETD are some of the oldest shoes left in my inventory and I wear them quite a bit.

Oh! And the skin is Stephanie, the latest release from Ryker Beck of Exodi.  Ryker`s skins always fit me perfectly, and Stephanie is no exception.  I`ll show you more of her soon.  For now, though, get to shopping!
