I’ve been sitting on this skin feature for about a week now. Yes I said “feature” and not “review”. I’ve been struggling with that term lately. If I take pretty pictures and tell you how much I love a product is that a review? It’s probably semantics, but at any rate I love this skin and I wanted to feature it and the exclusive makeups being offered at the Summer of Love fair before they disappeared.

While I absolutely wanted to tear my hair out with Viewer 2.0, I am LOVING the 2.1 beta.
The Outfit and Body Management windows make dressing your avatar so much simpler once you figure out all of the features.
They FIXED the crappy camera controls (yay for us shutterbugs!)
My inventory no longer phantom unloads when I try to right click and wear something
AND you can wear multiple of the same layers!!

If you haven’t heard, the ICON sim is having a summer celebration, when my friend Aranel Ah from BOOM told me about it and the swimsuit fashion show, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to slip into the new Infinity bikini and show off my new summer skin. Unfortunately, SL had other plans for me and stubbornly refused to load my inventory no matter how many times I growled. By the time I was dressed the show was over, so a few picture snaps and voila! I blogged.

I owe this look to Miss Trudie, my jazz and tap instructor from age 5 to age 9. As an impressionable girl and aspiring dancer, I idolized Miss Trudie. She smoked cloves and smelled like patchouli, had a penchant for gaudy costume jewelry and granny glasses, tiny mysterious asian symbols tattooed just below the underside of her wrists, and she would occasionally bring in her crazy siamese cat, Leopold, to entertain us. She was beautiful and graceful, eccentric and worldly and so full of life…

Being blonde in SL is a funny thing. It’s very limiting especially where skins are concerned. Despite all of the beautiful faces that Belleza has had to offer (especially Jesse), I haven’t been able to indulge because the lightest of the skintones were still a bit too dark to work with my sunny blondes.
Happily, with the release of Alyson I can slip into the Pale skin tone. While admittedly, I’d still love to have an even lighter option, I think I can pull off the summer sun look with the Pale.
Body with a hint of glow and shaded/highlighted in all the right places.

I was a huge, HUGE fan of Digit Darkes when her brand was X3D. In my eyes, her Couture Collection was the best thing since sliced bread. Digit was also the first designer I ever had the nerve to talk to. My signature hair was always black and usually this Billie style from Blooberry.
