One of the best things about Hair Fair, and indeed any large fashion event, is the treasures you find, that may be either new to you, or entirely new full stop. The Strand is one of those treasures.
Blossom in Sandy Blonde
The designer has a small, but perfectly executed selection of styles. Blossom is the fashionista coiff. I chose to dress it down this time, but throw on a cocktail dress and some statement earrings and you’re good to go!
Jackie in Sandy Blonde
Jackie is super cute, the braid as a headband is so adorable. The fringe is perfect, not too heavy and not too feathered.
Sammie in Ash Blonde
And finishing with my absolute fave, Sammie. I absolutely love bakerboy hats, and this one has the perfect jaunt over one eye. You get a wide choice of fabrics and colours, so you’ll definitely find something ...
Last year’s Hair Fair offering from Toast Bard had me running round wearing a saucepan on my head, I even worked it wearing a ballgown once This year’s hair is romantic, soft and gorgeous.
Native in Cream Filling
I bought the Earths pack in the 4 styles I’m showing, as I’ve been flitting between blonde and brunette lately, but honestly, nothing beats a naturals pack….I miss those!
Twins in Peanut
This is perfect Jussy hair, I hope she grabs it after having cleaned out all the guy stores for the shorter hair offerings!
Bug Lady in Cream Filling
This is the perfect choppy bob, I love the fringe (bangs if youre in the states!)
Lopsided Lilly in Peanut
This last style reminds me of the time mini me came into the lounge room from the kitchen, and handed me a chunk of her beautiful baby curls that she had lopped ...
As a way to combat lag this year, we have set up Hair Fair Demo Group. It is an in world group that all of the designers will be sending their demos to on 3rd September. (the notice archives are full as we speak of demos from various designers!) We are hoping that many of you join the group and are able to spend hours prior to the fair trying on all the different styles. Whimsy even wants everyone to have Demo parties, getting together to compare and have fun with styles you may not even otherwise have tried. That way you can go to the fair knowing exactly what hair you want . This group is not *required*, it is an optional thing that may help you if like me, you don’t do well in crowds!

One of the most exciting days of Hair Fair has always been Bloggers Day – this year it will be 3rd September. Exciting for the committee because it is a test run for the event, and exciting for the designers as their new releases are revealed to people from all over the world. In the hopes that they will share their creations through blog posts with amazing pictures and delightful insights.
This year we are making sure that enough notice is given for bloggers from all over Second Life to apply for admission to that event. It is limited in numbers, because the sims themselves have avatar limits, and there are many hundreds of bloggers.
Priority will be given of course to bloggers that did a lot of posts on the event last year, as well as those that feature and give credit to hair in ...

Today is a very very good day in Ashland!! Not only are there some scrummy releases from E! Eclectic, but Redgrave has done something I find very interesting, yus we have RP skins!!!
But first, one of the gorgeous dresses from E! I had been looking for a dress just like the Masami dress shown here, for ages. I had originaly wanted to do a seventies kinda look, but the best laid plans always go to waste (read I’m very easily distracted!) I chose the red for this post, but theres a huge range of colours, so youre sure to find your favorite.
So, Redgrave and vampire/RP are not really words one would expect to find in the same sentence, but here we are! Trinity is an incredible release. I went with the Daylight pack, as they required minimal tweaking.
The makeups are absolutely spectacular, and such a departure ...
I’ve been a complete blogging slacker of late, but when Beulah Mills invited me to preview the new L’abel release (yes I realise it’s already out ) I was not only stoked but very excited. I put together a few diff looks that I will stagger over 2 or 3 posts…gotta pace myself yaknow!
This is the Ninon dress in all it’s floaty goodness. It reminded me so much of the style of clothes my old dance teacher used to wear, she always had such poise and carried herself with the utmost grace. It’s the kind of dress that makes you straighten your back and stand tall.
There is a choice of lovely soft colors, even the black is plush looking and almost touchable. Digging through my out of control inv, I found a pack Carina Larsen from Amacci had sent me awhile back.
The Hair Fair 2010 Application is now available. Please make sure that you read all the Rules and the FAQ Page for all information on being a participant in this years Hair Fair. We are so excited to be donating the proceeds of this years fair to Wigs for Kids, a wonderful charity that helps children in need. You can find information about Wigs for Kids on their website HERE.
Many of the previous participants have already filled in their applications for their booths, so make sure not to delay. The faster you get your application sent in, the higher the chance of getting your spot. The fee will not be charged until you are accepted and ...
It’s the second anniversary of Inventory Episode this month and I thought I’d take a trip down memory lane. The dress shown is one of my all time favorites, and was at the time a freebie from the talented creator behind Slow Kitchen. Nothing has lasted so long in my inv, bar my precious Last Call collection of goodies that I could never part with. Everything else is fair game and I make Sasy weep when I delete without even trying on!
The dress is still perfection in my eyes the perfect amount of swish and lace without being over the top girly. It’s the kind of thing you could throw over a bikini and head to Bondi wearing, then dress it up with heels for a nightime BBQ.
Having not bought hair for an eon, when I saw this little baby on Sasy’s blog I had to have. ...
Blame the bunnehs, blame RL, blame the feed…for whatever reasons, I have been feeling less than stellar about blogging. Time off has been amazing, just hanging out with the girls and doing bugger all. Wearing the same clothes and hair for a week on end *le gasp* and spending my lindens on things other than fashion. Sasy joked last week that the sl echonomy would come to a screeching halt if I stopped spending entirely, so in that vein, here’s some newness I could not resist if I tried!
These impeccible dresses are the newest release from Nyte N Day. The Stint dress comes in the most beautiful understated colours, perfect for taking from day to night with a swipe of lippy and a shake of the hair Speaking of hair, I’m wearing the latest releases from Fri.day. Cassidy comes in 2 versions, both of which I love.
