Pose Fair 2013 is nearly at an end (Sunday!) and I can’t let it slip by without showing off a few of my favorite finds (one top of the poses that’ll show up in future posts). I hadn’t heard of Apple Spice prior, so this one is a true discovery. I like the unique positioning in this sampling, and it shapes the avatar nicely. Granted mesh covers up joint issues much better than before, but still!

Unintentional breaks are unintentional! Isn’t it a bummer when life gets to busy to pay attention to your creative side? Granted, I’ve been feeding mine a bit more in roleplay, and that’s good, too. But this… well this is different.

Not too much fuss with this, but it is an outfit I put together about a month ago for a post, and have worn it at least three times in a scene. I just love this skirt; because its HOC, it of course comes with a HUD that has two handfuls of options. This blazer is another of Emery‘s cute mesh releases lately, and the bodysuit from Secret Store, which has kept up a few cute texture-based clothes to go with adorable mesh they’ve been putting out.

Oh, hello! Where the hell have I been? Oi, busy. That’s where. And I have about 6 posts here ready for the viewing, so it’s high time I got back on track. One project involved this build right behind me, which I’ll have for sale shortly at my store, [HT] Hometown; a larger sized warehouse built for a roleplay sim, and pretty open for other uses, too!

During all this busy-ness, the shopping hasn’t stopped, much to my wallet’s dismay. I found a few new-to-me items that I couldn’t take off for days; one being this Veronica hair from Exile. My character in roleplay doesn’t have shorter hair, so this is purely for fun, but I love the tussled look of it. Then, there’s these p-er-fect Doc Marten replicas from J’s, a long time SL shoe staple. I suckered myself into two pairs.

In case you haven’t noticed already, winter is in full swing up here in the Northern Hemisphere, and designers are popping out sweater after scarf after reindeer. With Christmas only a little over a week away, its high time to use up all you can before the day passes, and well, our Santa hats become useless til next year! Today is also the last day of the Winter Fair, which has both holiday and winter items alike, such as this cute reindeer pose prop from Nani Poses! It has 5 different options, and it looks great to leave out even when not using it for pictures. You can also grab this new scarf from Auxiliary at the Dressing Room’s new location, combining both rooms into Fusion.

My crusade to complete all 52 Weeks of Color is nearly complete, and while I’m behind (beyond behind), and perhaps cheating at times… by golly, I’m gonna get it done. The corset set above for Ghost White is one of the new mesh sets you’ll find over at Blacklace these days, purveyor of all things sexy since… forever, and the pose being another sultry set from Exposeur, bought during one of Ruby’s lovely sales lately. Thanks to Mr. Harper for being a willing model! For Cosmic Purple, a party dress from Tres Blah, released at Collabor88 some time ago, and a pose out of ibang‘s offering at The Arcade, which is still going strong AND far less full now!

The week is actually long over now, but given I’m behind on my color challenge, too, I figure, better late than never! Anyway, two other posers I happily use on this blog quite a bit are Magnifique and Marukin. Both create well-set individual poses; I especially love the unique themed sets from Marukin, and I’ve gathered quite a few cute multi-person ones from Magnifique over time, including this Winter Wonderland pose from last year.

Also, I definitely time to break out the snow that I don’t get in real life, with designers obliging in kind! Auxiliary first released a version of the adorably cozy Cropped Double above at the Cinema even, but now has an everyday version available in store. And Ronsem busted out this leather jacket in a few different shades that required a bit of help deciding from my male fashionisto here. Both are mesh (though starting this post, won’t be denoting such anymore).

There was a discussion last week or so regarding giving credit to poses and pose makers for these wee little fashion pictures we do from time to time. I’m of the mind that a picture can be very boring without the pose to breathe some life into it, so I was very excited to see someone suggest Pose Appreciation Week over at [SL] Blogger Support! This week has, however, not panned out into the post fest I meant, as a Thanksgiving visit from the parents and building projects have gotten in the way. Alas, the week isn’t over yet.

Starting on Thursday November 15th, The Ego Co. presents Around the World, a journey across cultures and experiences through the eyes of Second Life’s most creative minds. FAKE has created a few different versions of this Lona Native skin with different tribal tattoos, and from Ziau comes this multi-faceted piercing set, catching my eye immediately I think due to the curved hoop-like piece through the septum. Can’t wait to see what else is in store for this event!
