On another note, when I went to my Flickr to get the photos for this post I was a bit scared of how it looks now, and how slow it is on this computer. But then again, free storage and all your old photos visible, even for non-pro users… makes me hate it less. What do you think about the new Flickr?

So… new cool photo contest in SL. How could I not join in? Of course, I think my chances to win are zero, because I saw so many amazing photos in the contest Flickr group. But I love the challenge, and I love this new Truth hair even more, so why not? I like the new color packs (including a naturals one, yay!) and the new textures, so I guess you’ll see a lot more Truth on this blog!

If you’re wondering who’s Evalina, that is the name of FAKE’s new skin. And there will be photos of it after the cut, I promise!

But what’s first is first: I did a photo in a club. That must be a first on this blog. I’m not much of a socializer in SL (and I’m more and more of a hermit in RL too, because of my working schedule). But I felt inspired to make a little outfit that reminds me of my clubbling days. And don’t lecture me about how this is 10 years ago’s fashion, because I still like it!

Now on to Evalina. The skin comes in five tones, and each one has 15 skins, including clean options, lipstick options and makeup options. Plus Lolas appliers. Additionally, you can buy lipsticks, eye shadows and mouth alpha packs for the skin. Here’s a sample of my favorite makeup options:

The 100 Block event is open and there’s a lot of great stuff that you can get there. For today’s outfit, I chose a lovely dress by DCNY to show you, and I added this hair with hat, new by Tameless.

The skin is a special edition of Fake’s Sara, available at the SL FAshion Week, and the bag is a hunt prize at Ricielli.

Last but not least, I have sad news for all pose lovers. After four years of great poses, Adorkable is closing. I am sad to see this brand go, as it is one of my favorite pose shops. Until June 9, everything at the store is at least 50% off.

SL is becoming a better place for us, fashionistas, due to creators’ constant efforts to make our pixel lives better. HUDs that allow matching the skin tone with just one click, appliers for breasts, hands, and feet, mesh heads and such. All these make me happy.

I’m not into the mesh boobies thing and I’m still considering the hands, but feet? OMG love. And with more and more help from creators for skin matching, there is no excuse not to have pretty feet – and hot smexy shoes to go with them.

SLink now has an option for other shoe designers, allowing them to make add-on footwear for their rigged mesh and avatar enhancement feet. And the creator of Leverocci and Belgravia took this opportunity, to make some pretty hot heels. Now you probably know that I adore these brands, so not getting those shoes was simply not an option. And guess what, they are called Paradise. Which SL is becoming for me lately, due to all these shoe matching options!

Also, featured in this blog is a lingerie set with color-change HUD available for a special price at the Aeva/Heartsick fundaiser, which ends on May 14, so you have a couple more days to go in and help Aeva skins creator get a new PC and keep making us pretty!

It’s been a while since my last freebie post, and I felt that people who read this blog need to be somehow rewarded, because most of the time I send them to spend their lindens. Now it’s time for me to show you some free or almost free goodies.

After being away from SL for five days, I came back with a renewed desire to explore, dress up and go hunting. Yes, hunting. This used to be my favorite thing to do in SL back in the day, but somehow I lost my passion for hunting, because of the too many hunts going on at the same time on the grid. However, I was in a mood for some hunting yesterday, so I checked the Little Big Hunt and the Be Glam Hunt, looking for pretty prizes. And I did find some to show you!

Plus, I tried to used the new vignette feature in the Firestorm Phototools. I’m back from my Easter vacation with a new post for you. While I was gone, things happened in SL (but then again, things always happen in SL, don’t they?) LeLutka released new hair, Amarelo Manga and Pure Poison launched their new collections. And, although this happened before my holiday, Akeruka released the full line of Manuela, the skin introduced at the Skin Fair 2013.

I needed some shoes for this dress, so I did an inventory search and rediscovered these Ison shoes. This reminded me that I wanted to take a snapshot on the Ison sim for quite a while, so I TPed there. I love how the desert highlights the colors of this outfit, so here’s the snapshot:

And now about Manuela. The skin comes in four tones and nine makeups for each tone. Shape is also available at the store. There are applier for Lolas mesh breasts, but I don’t know if they are compatible with Manuela. So here’s a selection of my favorite makeups, in each of the four tones:

As the previous hundreds of blog posts on all feeds have announced today, May 1st is the first anniversary of FaMESHed and a ton of amazing creators have a ton of must-have stuff for you. And let’s get to the second topic of this post. It’s, unfortunately, not a happy one. Voshie Paine, creator of La Petite Morte skins, needs funds quick to save her cat. Allie, her kitty, got sick and needs treatment as soon as possible. Here’s a link to her story. To cover the vet bills, Voshie has placed a special edition of the Wixson skin for sale for only L$100 and there’s also a cat tattoo that you can buy for L$10. So… I don’t even know how to begin this post. While I was creating the outfit for it, something amazing happened: Exile released new hair. It’s been a while since the previous releases and I was having serious withdrawals. And suddenly, Bang! Thee new styles for the ladies and one for the gents, with new colors, new hud, several customization options. If there is a heaven, it must be full of Exile hair. Just saying.

Also, today is May 1st, and, as usual, the first day of the moth marks the start of awesome events (and a bit of vacation for me ). This month, there’s one more: the Aeva/Heartsick fundraiser, which I have already mentioned in my previous post.

The fundraiser just started, so I strongly advice you to go grab some goodies, most of them at low prices, to support Amesha Jewell and help her keep creating skins for Aeva.

Worn in this photo is Exile hair in a new color combo and with streaks (I rarely do crazy colors hair, but this hud is so amazing I just had to ), a top by Klepsydra and a skirt by Context, both available at the Aeva/Heartsick fundraiser. The Aeva Arielle skin is also available at the event, in nine tones and with breast appliers, mesh feet tinted to the tone, lashes on tattoo layer, tattoo and alpha teeth, and three cleavage options.

For the second look, Moniq is wearing the Aeva Lyric skin, also available at the event, with all the options mentioned above, and a skirt by even.flow. The top is by DCNY, it was a FLF item and hopefully you can find it in the store at regular prices now. It is part of a set with mesh leggings and it also has breast appliers.
