Have you ever wondered about the color red? It is a very complex color really. It can represent so much and is significantly emotionally intense. Red symbolizes fire, blood, energy, danger, strength, power, determination but also and, this is the best, passion, desire, joy and love.

It is funny how something very small can be so exciting for one person and meaningless to another. I am referring to adventures. I think it is probably measured in what you have already experienced. For example, if you are a regular world traveler,  travelling to a nearby town will not necessarily count as an adventure, but if you have never left your home town, going to the next one, may be really exciting.

It’s the same with most things in life. Personally I have traveled a bit in real life but when it comes to technology, I have to admit, it is an adventure (Most times a frustrating one).

At the moment my biggest adventure and venture though, is my blog. Since I have been blogging I have expanded my sense of style in Second Life, how often and what I read and most importantly, my friendships. All in all this experienced have just enriched my life. It makes me proud and gives me a sense of accomplishment. It also makes me realize that I will now have to work even harder to maintain it, but I’m looking forward to the challenges.

People that read my blog knows that I normally write about what’s on my mind and mostly its work related and I try to turn into something that relates to SL or something we can all learn from. We all have aspirations and dreams, mine was always just real life focused,  but then I found something that I love doing and for the first time I wanted to succeed and be good at something in Second Life.

Then this morning I read a piece on a very successful author, Josh Kaufman and someone asked him above all else, what is the key factor to become good at something and his answer was – the boring bit, the work. Practice makes perfect, nothing will happen if you sit back and wait. You will not get six pack abs when sitting around. There are no five magical steps. It all comes down to the unsexy grinding work, determination and commitment.

Today I have been reading through blogs not related to Second life at all. And one caught my eye as the guy who wrote it mentioned Cape Town, South Africa and since that is where I grew up and my whole family lives, I read on.

It was a heart warming blog about this guy and a woman he met via the internet that lives in Japan. They became good friends and fell in love. Everyday she would forward him a picture and he would write something about it – even just a line or two. The only two things the script had to have, was it had to start with ‘The’ and ‘you’ needed to be in it somewhere. This continued from 2007 until the day of the blog I read, 29 April 2013.  Eventually he actually published it as a book. So the  day of the last blog entry, they met in real live. He said he may start a new blog.  ♥

I was spending some time with Lance and Shelbz and decided to ask them both 3 questions just to see what they would answer. So here goes:

Lance:

1. If I gave you an elephant, where would you hide it? If you gave me an Elephant where would i hide it hmmmmm.. In mah back pocket. That way when I walk past people they can say: ‘Hey! he got some junk in his trunk!’ lol

2. If you were a biscuit what one would you be and why? A Macademia Nut Bisquit (cookie). That Way when your eatin me I can say my nuts were in your mouth. lol

3. What is the longest you have gone without a shower and why? Longest gone with out a shower … hmmm Would be was 3 days on a campin trip in the woods. No modern day stuffs cept toilet paper. Mind you Biodegradable didn’t wanna liter. lol We all were some funky man smelly messes when we got home. Windows down all the way home. lol

Shelbz:

1. If I gave you an elephant, where would you hide it? Elephant is huge I’d have to hide it.. um I couldn’t lol, I’d stick it in my backyard and hope no-one reported it. lol

2. if you were a biscuit what one would you be and why? Definitely 100 & 1000s biscuit. because its a great mix of, one side plain and other side sweet and colorful, best of both worlds.

3. What is the longest you have gone without a shower and why?  A week is longest, cos I was in a scout group, and we were treking through hills here and camping in huts, there were no showers.
