The spring releases at PurpleMoon Creations reflect the amazing breadth of amazing designs we enjoy from Poulet Koenkamp. Her gowns are always elegant and the Lolita is simply magical! So, it seemed appropriate to add tosy Xue’s Magical Circle earrings from WTG Jewelry.

With cascades of blooms accenting elegant lace and flowing silks PurpleMoon’s new Marzia gown is truly breathtaking. And, once again, I found tosy Xue’s Jewelry to be a perfect accent. The Blessings Ensemble from WTG Jewelry, while not a new release, is one of my favorites, and seems as if it is designed to match this lovely gown.

Purple Moon Creations regularly offers entire styled outfits put together by Poulet and her staff of models. These Designer’s Choice ensembles are consistently well assembled, (with such an amazing array of coordinates to select from!) and usually deeply discounted. These next two outfits are among the ones I haven’t been able to resist adding to my growing wardrobe of PurpleMoon Casuals. I am also excited about all the new spring releases from Lindy’s Modern & Retro Shoes! And this very latest release from WTG Jewelry, the Isis Ensemble is actually a group gift!

We recently celebrated Lewis & Maddie’s second anniversary at Club Noir, their vintage themed Jazz and Swing club. The B&W look seemed like the perfect setting for this shoot. And, its a great spot for an evening of good music and dancing with someone special.

There is something about a new gown from DESIR Haute Couture that inspires me to seek out a soft breeze along the coast! Vivien Emerald brings us yet another delicately flowing creation in her recently released Patrycja Gown and, once again the detail work is superb from the stand-up pleated collar, to the surprise cascade of orchids at the deeply cut back, and the layers of sheer silk in the full skirt. I chose the gold colour and accented it with the Pearly Shell Jewelry and Nail Ensemble from WTG Jewelry for the candlelight glow of an evening stroll through the birches, and down to the coast line. You will find your favorite among the other delicious pastels available.

On location, at home – The CascadesPerhaps, like me, you’ve always loved wearing a special red dress. Since childhood, when the Red Riding Hood story was a fashion influence, right until today, I think there has always been at least one red dress . . . maybe more . . . in my wardrobe. The Euridice gown from DESIR Haute Couture has definitely moved into a special place for me. Elegant and sensuously soft, it is just the perfect “all grownup” gown for the L’il Red in all of us! And I thought an “Into the Woods” setting might be just right for a shoot today. No Big Bad Wolves at Oubilette but, keep an eye out for that scary troll.

After what seemed like a very long wait, I think spring has come at last! I have really enjoyed discovering all the freshness of the spring offerings from our creative SL designers. Today’s post features a few of my favorites; Meiling Couture and Lindy’s Modern & Retro Shoes. It also features a most lovely new sim with the most photographable spring venues. The Noble Storybook sim is inspired by the Beatrice Potter book series and, as you wander about there, you will spot many of her easily recognizable characters from these tales. Meiling’s RL and SL designs always reflect her natural appreciation of the female figure providing adornment for the wearer, rather than treating her as merely a display mannequin for the clothes. Thus her designs are comfortable, easy to wear and naturally attractive. I have also discovered that I can always find the perfect shoes to complete the look at Lindy’s. Both of these fine designers pay meticulous attention to detail, color and texture. In this first look I have paired Meiling’s Claro strapless dress with Lindy’s new Peyton cork platform pumps.

Meiling frequently incorporates little surprise touches in her designs. The Mundo Halter dress, for example, in addition to the detailed collar embroidery, features a feminine bodice surround, which gracefully compliments the surprising bare back. Lindy’s new Kaelyn platform heels in black patent compliment this dressy look perfectly!

For a early evening stroll on the beach after that special dinner on the patio, what could be better than Meiling’s colorful Gru-Gru Halter mini? This little number is going with me right into summer in a variety of fun patterns and colors. And I must point out that these colors are so easy to match in Lindy’s Wynne shoes, using her wonderful color matching HUD.

Just a short walk up from The Noble Storybook beach is this stone path through the fresh ferns and flowery glen. What a delightful and peaceful place this is! And what a delightful creation is the new Irois Frill dress from Meiling’s spring collection. You will find your favorite color in this cool and fluttery, tiered design. I was similarly delighted to find Lindy’s new Bradye platform sandals such a great match to the red I selected.

While visiting the recent Hollywood Fashion event I found this delightful outfit at SF Designs and immediately thought that if Holly Golightly were to visit Second Life today she would probably head straight to FineSmith for breakfast! I went digging through my older jewelry drawers and found just the right pearls from FineSmith - fitting for that vintage look. And then, I thought of what a more current look Holly might discover on this visit . . .
