Tragicly Reround: Basics

So I have been a bit quiet on my blog this month simply because of the holidays. Work tends to get a little bit more busy and time alone to sit down and blog doesn’t happen all that often. But I some how managed to sneak in some time to work on a blog post. Instead of just doing a blog look I thought since it would be fun to do a best of 2013 list. I am going to break this into a five post. The first one will focus on hair, skin, and eyes. The third will focus on clothing, shoes, and other wearable items. Third will be all about poses. Forth I will dive into the Tragic blog and show my favorite looks I have done in the year 2013. Finally I will close this Reround by highlighting my favorite things of all time! It’s bound to be a fun ride!

To start of the list let’s start with the top of the head. This year at tragiclystyled I have worn some crazy unique hairs. From dreads, to buns, to long lowing locks, and to short cuts. But my favorite hair style of all time this year has to go to Exile’s Broken Stings

Tragicly-Reround_Hair

While I have only used this hair in two blog posts when it comes to long hair this is almost my go to. I have to force myself not to use it because knowing me I would end up falling in love with this hair. This hair is also the only fat pack I have bought in 2013. For someone like me that changes his style a lot (and hair color) I knew no mater what shade I go with I will always want this hair on my head. All these facts make this hair my number one of 2013.

<more Reround under the cut>

Confession time right now. I am a bit of a skin addict. If there is any hint of a new male skin out in the wind I will sniff it out and I will finding it. I mean, when I go on a demo shopping spree my inventory tends to jump 1k-2k. Needless to say it was hard to find one skin that I thought was the best for 2013.  However after much thinking I narrowed down to one skin; Tyler from [K]lean

Tragicly-Reround_Skin

If you know you’re male skin history you should know [K]lean is a rebrand from Wavie Haller. Back in the day Wavie had this skin store called Sacred. Something happy and Waive sort of dropped out of the picture but sometime this year he popped with gifts. One of those was the Tyler skin that I found in a round of The Men’s Department. As of right now the skin has not been released in the main store. Hopefully soon 2014 will have more [K]lean skins.

So far I have done hair, skin.. Hmm what else can we do body part wise. Oh yeah eyes. For this year it’s almost a no brainer who my favorite eyes go to. They have been a huge part of almost every blog. For my favorite eyes I have to give it to A:S:S

Tragicly-Reround_Eyes

Everytime I look at my tags for both my blog post here on wordpress or the tags I put on my flickr picks I always giggle a bit when I see A:S:S listed. Given the fact that out of the 70ish blog post I did this year I used A:S:S brand eyes in almost half of them you’d think I would not crack a smile every time I see this the band name comes up. But no! Even when I am writing this now I am still cracking a smirk. Anyways. The A:S:S eyes are amazing. They have this double layer. The first layer is like the reflection the second is the eye itself. Throw in the fact these little balls of joy are mesh and I am happy.

Anyways. There you have it. My number one spots for hair, skin, and eyes for 2013. Stick around for more of my picks only on Tragicly Styled~

Snowfight

It snowed today. Not a lot but it snowed. Which is normal given the fact in  real life I live in Montana. Sadly the snow did not stick but it made me want to do a winter photo. Which is perfect given that The Arcade as a few amazing winter items! Like this sloth had from 8f8. Remember I was all “OMG I WANT” in my last post well I got it!

Snowfight

I paired this amazing sloth had with a just as amazing winter hoody from Dynasty. This is also at the Arcade. With this one to play you have to pick a size and you will get that one size. I wish you got all the sizes but meh. It’s still a fun hoody right?

In the spirt of the snow fun I used the Snowfight and Fun pose set from Hopscotch. I love this pose set it’s perfect for winter and snow time fun. Well that is it. I hope you enjoy.

Royals

So the Arcade is gearing up for another round that starts December 1st at midnight. judging by this shopping guild the December 2013 Arcade looks pretty amazing. A few of my favorites include the Pop Boots from Gizza, the Sloth ht from 8f8, the MishMish penguin avatars, and all the items from Shi to name a few.  Earlier today I stopped by and picked up a few things and thought it would be fun to put a look together. Once this look was done the song “Royals” kept playing on repeat in my head. It could be the coat, or the crown, or the bad ass gloves but what ever it is I dig this look.

Royals

To start off with the Gacha fun I picked up these Frosting Coats and Tin Mitts from Rachel Breaker. The coats are amazing and look like over sized fur coats. At first I was a little worried I could not unisex these but it turns out they work pretty darn good with male avatars. The Tin Mitts have to be my favorite item from Rachel Breaker this round. They are fully mesh gloves with this cool armor like detail. The silver one is my favorite but I am going to try to collect them all because they are just that good. I think at this point is when “Royals” started playing in my head so I threw on a crown from Ladies who Lunch. In this set there is a grown called Queen Bee that would be perfect for the whole them of the song (“You can call me queen bee”) but it’s Rare and well… So I went with the just as pretty Dark Queen crown in black.

<More Arcade fun under the cut>

The Last Arcade item I used in this first look was these  Engineer Boots from Sleepy Eddy. This Gacha I manage to get the color I wanted in the first try. But these boots are just so good I know I will be back and try to get all the colors. To finish of the look I am still using the male Birdy skin from The Men’s Department. Ladies, Birdy is in this round of the Arcade with this really cute skin FYI. These pants from Deadwool. They have this cool rolled up option that worked well for these boots. An old but classic texture/prim shirt from Mr.Poet, and to top it all off; Hair from Truth. Let me tell you I still have a pretty hardcore love affair with Truth right now. They just don’t know it yet.

Away They Go

Recently in my real life my life partner and I have been moving. It has been a stressful time but lucky tonight I found time to unwind with a blog. In this mind set of moving I got this odd feeling like remembering when I was a kid and I would watch my dad from a dock when ever he would go out to see for six months. This feeling sort of translated in the feel of the photos. Not so much the outfit.

Away-They-Go

There comes a time in a bloggers life where a pose and an outfit all of a sudden just seem to fit. The pose comes from a shop called Exposeur. They are sort of a staple in my pose collection. If I am not mistaken I think by now I own every male pose from the store.  This pose in the photo above (Called That Boy 1) seemed to go perfect with the Gabriel top from this round of the Men’s Department. The pose looks like some one trying to keep up a sweater that just won’t stay up.

Away-They-Go2

For some reason during the winter my Second Life fashion muse is like “You know what you need more of? Shorts!” So  I end up doing these odd short and legging looks with more winter like tops. For this look I threw on a trusted pair of shorts from CheerNo. I seriously use these to much. Speaking of using things to much, remember these leggings from League? I think I used them a few times on this blog and been once before with these CheerNo Shorts. Oh well.. I like them. And just for fun Teddy Bear Shoes! From Shoetopia

London Calling

A few days ago I found my way back to Truth. I sort of stopped going to the mainstore because I never managed to leave the store without seventeen different demos and like five fatpacks, This trip I only walked away with four demos and two ginger packs. One of the hairs I got was is called Josie. It’s a loose bun with some fun braiding detail that I just love. I also picked up the ginger pack of the hair I am going to use in another blog. It too has some great braid detail. To any hair designers reading this braids + long hair + fade effect = Gabe trap.

London-Calling3

As you can see I am still using the skin in this round of The Men’s Department. I cannot make myself take it off it is just so good. I paired the skin with a top also from the department from Etham. It’s perfect for winter and I love the safety pins. It gives it a nice detail. Layering in clothing is one of my biggest weaknesses. I was so happy when I saw it. I am thinking I will be going back and picking up a few more colors.

London-Calling

To finish of the look I paired it with shorts from Aphorism, socks from Pig, and these boots from Valiant. The boots one of the three unisex designs offered from this brand at Shoetopia. What is Shoetopia you ask? Well it’s a sales event for shoes. I have yet to stop by the event but if Valiant is any sign of the talent there I am sure I would check it out. Valiant also has these boots that I am sure that are suppose to be for women but based on this picture.. I don’t know I think I rock them. The shoes plus the sim I used for my photos remained me of London. For some reason Mayfair always reminds me of London with it’d red phone booths and taxi cabs.

Dandyland

I was going to name this blog post Lost in Fancyland part 2. But the title was to long. That still doesn’t change the fact that these two blogs apparently have the same story line. Two handsome long haired ginger models were driving in a desert the car broke down and they had to walk to the nearest town, in suits. I know I know but it’s not my fault if people would stop making amazing suits you would stop seeing these pictures.

Dandyland

Zaara is a store best known for it’s Indian inspired fashion. How I came across the brand was a long time ago they had a photo contest. I lost but that contest sort of made me attach to brand. A few weeks ago Zaara (The owner not the brand) threw me an IM and was like “Hey does this suit look nice?!” And it did. Today when I logged on there was a fatback waiting for me in my offlines. So I figured I would share it in a blog post

<more bellow the cut>

Dandyland2

The suit itself comes in nine different colors; Ash, Grey, Beige, Coal, Espresso, Navy, Red, Sand, and Ivory. For this look I am wearing Ash. The really amazing part of these suits is the hud that comes with it. That closet looking thing shown in the picture above. That’s the Zaara hud. The top half controls the color of the dress shirt worn under the blazer and the bottom half is the tie. Lets say you only by the Ash suit, with this hud you can wear it (if my math is right) 219 different ways. Again in my math is right and if you had the fatpack you would get 1944 different combinations not to mention the pants and top are on it’s own mesh so you COULD mix and math…Pretty much  OPTIONS!

Dandyland3

To sort of finish of this look I threw on a pair of shoes from Gabriel that you can pick up at this round of the Men’s Department.  I used them before in another look but I just like them so much and they fit with the suit. For my long fire locks I threw on a hair from Exile.

Lost in Fancyland

UGH FATEWEAR! I frecking hate FATEwear. I swear! They are all. “OH HAVE ANOTHER GOOD LOOKING SUIT WITH TONES OF DIFFERENT OPTIONS TO WEAR!” Like I need options! Who the hell needs options! This is ‘merica! Anyways. I did a blog post with these horrid suit. Cuz you know.  Things.. and options.

Lost-in-Fancyland2

All joking aside these suits from FATEwear are pretty classy. They come in seven different wear options. Options A B come with a shirt,waistcoat, and blazer. It’s more for a more fancy formal look. C D loses the waistcoat and is just the blazer/shirt combo. These are perfect if you just want to make a statement. E F G is the more casual options. Today I am wearing G

<More bellow the cut>

Lost-in-Fancyland3

Options EFG are my favorite because they have this cool wear the blazer over your shoulder like a bad ass animation option. It’s an added bonus to these already amazing suit. Option E you lose the blazer and keep the waistcoat on. F is like G except the shirt is tucked in. G is my favorite of all of them because it’s like an after party look. Like you just came home from a party and took everything off.

Lost-in-Fancyland4

Each suit has two pant options Stiff and loose. Stiff has little wrinkle detail while loose has more. Both pant styles have this really cool option called “pocket”. Pretty much it makes it look like you are walking around with one hand in the pocket. In the future it would be cool if FATEwear released a both hand in the pocket option or a right hand in the pocket option. Currently it’s just the left. The suit also comes with this hand in pocket AO that with  most AOs and poses. I for one love this. It adds a layer of class to these suit. I paired the suits with my favorite dress shoes from Deadwool. Another amazing store. Anyways hope you enjoy

This is War

A few days ago the November round to the Men’s Department kicked off. This morning I went back and picked up a few new goodies. Last post I used one of the skins from Birdy. There is another two. One comes from Essences (Soon to be used in a blog) and one comes from Clef de Peau. The Clef de Peau skin comes with two brow options, two shapes, freckle layer, a mole layer, and my favorite part; Slink appliers for hands and feet! I wish more male skins designers took the time to create these so I don’t have to spend like 1 minute clicking around the skin hud. #firstworldissues.

This-is-war

I paired the skin with a hoodie from the men’s department as well. It’s from a brand called Razor. The hoodie is very cool with some neat zipper details. I paired the jacket with a this military style hat from Remarkable Oblivion. The hat has this cool nose chair option. I didn’t use it for this look but it’s kinda amazing.

<more bellow the cut>

This-is-war2

The last thing from the Men’s Department in this look is this cool spiked bag from Zenith. The bag comes with two options; open and closed. The bag was really the inspiration for the make up from Nuuna.

This-is-war3

To tie in the color of the bag and the make up I found these cool red pants from Fruk. Remember when I point out pants that have a wear in boot option. These do! I love them. To sort of tie in the military feel of the hat I threw in some boots from Deco.  Deco makes the best boots.  The finishing touch I added in those fingerless gloves from A:S:S. I love them. I don’t think I will take them off all of winter.
