I’ve always liked to do my blogging images in a natural setting in Second Life. Partly because I am so fail when it comes to a back ground, but also partly because I love enjoying the many amazingly beautiful places that people build. For a couple of months now I have squeezed myself and my home in a small parcel. It was driving me insane! I needed to spread out, pull the trees apart and let the fields and flowers roll between the pathways, lakes and bridges I have always enjoyed. I finally moved, got a much larger bit of space to enjoy and took a few days to just paint the empty canvas my way.

These shots were all taken in just one corner. Kismet came over and patiently waited for it to rez, I swear her laptop is running on a rubber band and duct tape. While she waited I snuck a couple of shots. I love this one of her! If you want to see what she is wearing head on over to her blog here!

Over the next few weeks, or months, I am sure my land will be tweaked and changed now and then, but for now its an open playground that I hope others might sneak by and check out. I have rez open on it with a modest auto return so if people would like to use it, its there. I have to admit, I had the most fun with this build than others I have done in the past. You are sure to see a lot of pictures of it here soon.

Editing to update…I have since removed the link to my land. Short story, logged in to unusual lag hiccups, notified the sim owner, helped show him where the issue was as kindly as I could, and was told I was the problem with my know it all attitude. I hope that everyone within SL demands the service they are paying for, as I always have and always will. If I am paying for land and following a cov, and I report that someone else isn’t, *I* am not the problem. Remove your COV if you do not want to enforce it or be shown something you are ignorant of. I will not be told to basically shut up about technical issues if it is costing me money. I will not be told I am insulting when I am, in fact, just trying to help solve an issue. In the end, I requested a refund and said I would clear my land to prevent further issues because I have a habit of asking for what I pay for, good running land (perhaps my last job spoiled me, DSE is still the best estate I’ve seen, I am sure there are others, I just haven’t rented many other places) and in response I was ejected, banned, all items sent back (not an issue, easy to rebuild, but had to dig out my no copy items) and refunded. The refund came only after a short changed refund of a small portion of what I had paid. Luckily, they came back and *did* finally refund me. Some people just don’t know how to treat residents when they find an issue, that estate certainly was one.

Fortunately I can sit and say thank  you to the support of the amazing friends and fellow plurkers. For your private messages and for the person that snagged me up to live on their sim with them. I have in fact shown the logs of these conversations because I was sorely in doubt about my own behavior and told no, I was defensive yes, and blunt, but not insulting or mean. Others also stepped forward with their terrible experiences with the same estate. Another case of lesson learned!

Its always so much brighter in the morning. Couple of things from a couple of my favorite people on the grid. This garden tea set, table and chairs are all made by Little House of Little House of Curios. I love this little spot and could easily see myself spending an afternoon here lazing away with a good book and, well, lets be honest, all those sweets! Its been available at The Garden by The Liaison Collaborative . The dress is a release by SySys out now at faMESHed! Oh so very comfy and casual for a comfortable morning.

So many friendships start out on common ground. We all have those friends that we can understand simply because they are pretty much a reflection of who we are. Every once in a while, though, that amazing moment of ‘opposites attract’ and you find a friend that just fits even though you are a circle to their square peg. In so many ways, Kismet and I are complete and utter opposites. From our looks, likes, dislikes, we disagree on so many things, but we fit. No one could really explain it, and I doubt we would want anyone to even try! Ups and downs, ins and outs, it just is. Quinn is just happily the space junk between our Moon and Sun, his words here! I’m not sure what that makes him…yet?

This adorable dress and parasol is from Schadenfreude. I always love their work, this pale blue dress makes me happy in so many ways. Its delicate and soft and makes me feel amazingly pretty. We all need to feel like that, soft and pretty. Even if we are as unobtainable as the Moon.

Kismet has finally put out the song for her Song Interpretation Challenge! If you haven’t heard of her challenge, peek at her page there to see it. The first song is Sober by Pink.  When I first watched this video I was reminded how much I love it, and how badly I wanted to do the padded room look, that white skirt proved to be a bit more difficult however. So, another fast flash in the video is this scene with her in the forest. I decided I would leave the sexy lingerie to others, sweet innocent thing that I am. Stop. Laughing!

In an attempt to stop my endless spending in SL, a budget failed me, I have been trying to focus on the landscaping and decorating of my land again. Thought I would share a couple of pictures. In the above pic I am wearing a fantastic mesh tank set by Sn@tch. I absolutely love the way it hangs on the body, been doing all of my yard work in this outfit! The shorts are by 22769 and are a new favorite too. I’ve had a couple of people mention missing the raven haired snow white that I typically am, so its a raven hair by Truth today. I love this look! You can’t see them, but they certainly need a mention, I am wearing the flat feet and flip flops from GOS here. Honestly, I spend more time bare foot now than ever before. <3

I absolutely cannot get enough of this house. I wander around it, its still not furnished inside, just enjoying how amazing it looks. There have also been so many wonderful ‘outside’ items released lately that I really keep wishing I had more land, just so I can put it all out! From the waterfall to the lake (that you cannot see all of, but watch for another post with it) I am loving the outdoors in SL lately. The above picture looks better larger, just saying!

Now, lets be serious, no land is complete without a beach as you head into summer time. I made this small beach for all my fun in the sun needs. Again, so many items to play with for outside, my inventory is over flowing! Be sure to check out the information below and visit them all!

Between TDR and new hair and finally getting closer to beach weather, this area at home is now sort of my favorite! A bit odd to say, considering I am a So Cal girl that *hates* the beach most of the time. Lately I am just aching to snag all the kids and head over to the beach here, so this was as close as I could get to it. The Skin is by Al Vulo and out at The Dressing Room along with this fabulous bikini by DRIFT.  I absolutely adore this skin, even though it is a bit darker toned than I normally go with. No matter how much I spend at the beach in rl, there is no way I could get myself a tan that lovely! The bikini comes in three different colors, all of which are fabulous!

Last, but not least, the newest hair by Exile. Oh dear me, how I stood there for ages trying the different huds for all the new wonderful beautiful streaks and such. I couldn’t pick just one color though, it was driving me batty trying! This is the first time, that I recall, that I gave in and got the All or Nothing pack. So, don’t be all that surprised if you see this hair, in oh so many variations, in the future too! Be sure to stop by all of these places and do some shopping! Bit of a quicky today, been doing a lot of clean up work on my pc (I slack at this, never ask me to send you a file, you never know what will come with it, I know, BAD!) and have a couple of pictures I am *working* on but I absolutely loved this dress and skin that I had to share it. The skin is by Adam & Eve and it is certainly beautiful.  I adore the soft make ups and bit of sass in Patrice. I slipped on a dress from Blacklace and this hair by LaViere, so much pink I can hear it now about how prissy I am today, but I don’t care!  Prissy and pink and perfectly loving it.

I’ve been feeling like I am being pulled in a million different directions (RL) lately, so I haven’t been able to work in PS as much as I would like. I did find a few new tutorials that I would like to attempt. The people that put them together are honestly awesome in my book, and I look forward to learning as much as I can from them. The only issue now is staying inside, with spring coming! Finally! Its so pretty outside today…hopefully everyone is enjoying it where ever you are!

Thanks to BOOM I got to be a little bit creative today. BOOM has just released these 100% Mesh cuffs. On a dare by my ever so sweet bestie, I promised I would do this without anything but the cuffs on. Oh, and GOS shoes. Seriously, that doesn’t count, does it? I enlisted some help and I must say, I am actually enjoying my time in PS lately. Stop by and pick up some of these cuffs. They come for the ankles as well as wrists and in a variety of colors. I’m only about 101 days behind on blogging, but working to make up for it! This look started off with the fabulous top and pants by 22769. I always love the way their pieces fall and flow, this is for sure a great look for my dreaming of spring. Newer hair by Truth and jewelry Maxi Gossamer (can be found at the latest round of c88) and a bit of time wandering my new gardens, I finally got a shot to get this look out. Spring really is coming, well, its partially here. My allergies say so! We had a spontaneous trip up to Virginia for my kids and spring break, so I have fallen so far behind…but I wanted to share my Connecting: 365 post which you can all find here! If you havent taken some time to dig through this blog you really should. There are a lot of fabulous people sharing their experiences and its chance to connect with people on a level past just Second Life.

We head home tomorrow, another long 7 – 8 hour drive, but I am so looking forward to getting back to my bed! I mean home, yes, home. *coughs*
