Zodiac has so many great new releases for the Gemini round! I’ve already blogged several great pieces on the Hottie Cooterati blog, but I wanted to show off another piece that I picked up today! As if it isn’t obvious what my favorite color is, I just had to have this Dandelion One Piece from Valentina E. It’s so bright and cheery and goes perfect with the Bizarre Flower set from LaGyo that I’ve had in my inventory for ages.

Eaters Coma also has a great new release in two versions, one for standard breast sizes and also one for Lolas. I love the thought that Kumii put into her design because as much as I love to wear longer styles, I have trouble finding ones that fit when I do actually wear my Lolas appliers. So, if you are definitely sporting a full bosom, do check out this new hairstyle from Eaters Coma!

I’ve also been taking a lot of pictures at my home sim lately as I can honestly say it is about 90% complete! It’s been under a constant remodel for almost a year now and will never be finished enough for me, but I love that it allows me to create exactly the backdrop I need for whatever picture comes to mind. I almost always settle for something with a water or beachy feel to it, but I love going out and seeing what everyone else comes up with! What are your home sim preferences when it comes to decorating? I’d love to hear all about it!

It’s Meme Monday!

Berry posted a ‘Teach Me Something’ Meme challenge on her blog and while I love the idea, I am probably the most un-talented person in SL. So, since I can’t think of anything off the top of my head that I could possibly teach you guys, I am going to blog an older topic: Why Do I Blog?

My first year anniversary of blogging is just over a month away and I am still flabbergasted by how quickly time has flown by and how much I have learned about myself and others in the process. Reading everyone’s Memes have definitely helped!

Why Do I Blog?

1. How long have you been blogging? I started blogging June 30, 2012.

2. Why did you start blogging? I’ve always had an interest in SL fashion. The first friend I ever made in SL, Franz, took me around my first week and showed me the ropes. We’ve become shopping buddies in a way and ever since, my interest has only increased. After I started religiously reading SL blogs did I realize that I wanted to be a part of that, too.

3. How many times a week do you post an entry? It really depends on how busy with RL I am. Sometimes, just one post a week, or I can post as many as 4 or 5 per week, sometimes even twice a day.

4. How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? I’d say around a dozen that I keep up to date with on a regular basis. I love to check out new blogs, but with time, I find myself narrowing them down to what can capture my immediate attention: catchy titles, quality, pictures, etc.

5. Do you comment on other people’s blogs? I try to as often as I can. At the very least, I always comment back on someone else’s blog if they’ve taken the time to post something on mine.

6. Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? Not really. I post for me and for what I enjoy. It makes me happy to know that others enjoy what I blog as well, but I am not overly worried about how many people I attract with my work. This is fun for me, whether I have one visitor or one hundred.

7. Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? No. I mean what I say and say what I mean. At least, I try to. Anything I blog receives my best and honest opinion. Typically, to avoid controversy, I only blog something that suits my particular style, or is of a quality I like. I hate giving negative reviews, but to me, honesty is important.

8. Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? I hope so, but I am still pretty new to blogging, so I know that I still have a long way to go to make my mark and let people really see who and what I am.

9. Do you blog under your real name? No. Second Life blogger = Second Life name.

10. Are there topics that you would never blog about? I’ve never given this much thought. I suppose as long as it isn’t illegal or R-Rated, I would blog about it, if requested.

11. What is the theme/topic of your blog? Namely fashion, though I have really been getting into the home decorating side of things, which I also love.

12. Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? No, iCandy is my only personal blog, though I do have the privilege to be a staff blogger for the Hottie Cooterati Experience.

13. What have you found to be the benefits of blogging? I love being able to take pictures and share the great talents of designers in SL. They work so hard to make us look and feel fabulous and I love feeling like I am a part of getting the word out there. I also love being able to have an opinion that can be heard and can spark interest for others to discuss as well.

14. So, why do you continue to blog? I love clothes and people and writing. To be able to do all of these in a convenient, faster and much cheaper way via SL is really more than any fashionista could ask for, don’t you think?

As promised, here is more awesomeness from the May (Birthday Edition!) Round of faMESHed! This chiffon dress from Zaara is so lovely that I had to find just the right accessories to make it pop. It took some serious browsing and debating, but I think that these new Helena Shoes from Redgrave and Surreal Jewelry from {me.} do the trick nicely!

Kavar Cleanslate of Exile has also released three new hairs this week! I am wearing ‘Hearts Don’t Break Even,’ but each of the new styles are all long, flowing and stunning! The new HUD and color packs allow for so much more versatility and styling and I love the new streaks options that can be implemented for each color set. Designers seem to be on a roll lately when it comes to producing items in my favorite colors- namely any shade of teal! So, of course, I had to grab everything I could find! With dozens of teal inspired pieces in my inventory, I knew I had to put some of them together, or I’d never make room for more, so here I am! These teal skinny jeans and heels are by ISON for the May round of Collabor88. Harry does such incredible work that it is so hard to pass up anything he releases.

Also new this week are these teal floral bracelets and headband from A&Ana for The Dressing Room Fusion. I am not too familiar with this designer, but I fell in love with the quality of her pieces so I will definitely be visiting the mainstore soon for more!

Truth Hawks has finally released new hair! After an epic hair sale that had to be extended (twice!) the new mainstore is open and it is A.W.E.S.O.M.E! Truth has also released new hair color packs as well as a new in-store credit system. Being the largest hair creator on the grid, it is next to impossible not to make it to the new store and check out all that has changed in the past couple of weeks!

Both TDRF and Collabor88 have lots of colorful and fun releases for their new rounds! These colorful cocoro rainbow shorts from TokiD really set the stage for the fun accessories I added from LaGyo, which contain five different pieces that can be found at both Collabor88 and The Dressing Room Fusion.

Also new this week and as I mentioned yesterday, are these summery Beira mules by Hucci, which are an addon to the SLink Medium Height Barefeet. Ever since Siddean released her new  enhanced version of hands and feet, which allows skin developers to create a HUD to perfectly match skin to mesh attachments, there has been an even bigger market for them, and I love it! With Eboni creating these SLink addons, I can’t wait to see what other creators come up with to sweeten the deal!

Here I am, rocking it out in new releases from coldLogic! The new line of summer shorts, shirts and dresses are inspired by the bare shoulder look that is definitely in this season. They come in a variety of styles, colors and patterns, so stop by the mainstore and grab up these sweet summer specials!

Also new are these fabulous thing flip flops from Hucci. Though I’ve already blogged them once already, I haven’t been able to take them off, or resist adding them to yet another outfit! I’ve been following Berry’s blog for a while now and have always enjoyed and envied her photography and posts. With her meme challenges amassing quite a following, I decided to go ahead and jump on the bandwagon and make the start of the week Meme Mondays as well! What a better way to get to know my fellow bloggers than by sharing these memes with each other, right?

If there were ever two more hardworking and lovable designers in Second Life, it would have to be Samantha Jones and Kim Lysette from Liv-Glam. (And you too, Aisha! ♥) With the daily events they’ve got going on- from Chic La Mode, Steals&Deals, Designer Circle, Designers Showcase, Fashion Limited, Fi Fridays, Secret Wednesdays and not to mention the loads of sales and every day new releases- who can doubt that these ladies absolutely rock the fashion circuit?

I’ve seriously given up hope on ever blogging just one Liv-Glam or K Collection ensemble anymore. There are just too many great new releases each week to be able to choose just one. So, this week I’ve narrowed it down from dozens (seriously, dozens!) of new releases, to five of my top favorites. I even bribed Dwight to get in on the action. Doesn’t he look smexy?

‘Rain or Shine’ is this month’s theme for Collabor88, and I am loving it! There are so many adorable new releases this round that I am stuck, so I decided to put a few of my favorites in one post just in case I don’t have time to come back for a part two. Every since Allegory Malaprop of Schadenfreude came out with her Eala Dress last August, I have been dying for her to release another! She did not disappoint! The pattern is super sweet, with delicate, hand-drawn rain-clouds/trees on a lacy overlay. And yes, that is a matching parasol! ♥ This Clouds Into the Woods dress comes in five ultra pretty colors (with matching parasols!)

I am [very] slowly getting into the home decor aspect of blogging. It is still a work in progress for me, but the past couple of days I have really been inspired to add more to my sim, especially when I saw these new releases- the Carmela Pergola from DIGS and the Rain or Shine set from LISP. I am obsessed with anything beachy and fresh- white, light wood, shabby chic, water and lots and lots of light! So, chances are if it is my style, I’ll buy it even if I don’t need it!

For the longest time I have been looking for a great mesh outfit to hit the gym with. So, when I saw this work out set from Gizza for Limited Bazaar, I was super thrilled to be able to grab it up before they were all gone!

I picked up various exercise equipment from Pilot, Exposeur and Tartessos Arts some time ago and had a great time getting fit and tones on my front porch!
